Established in 2007.

We have been producing events for over 8 years. We began in the corporate world but found a passion for weddings and special events.

In 2007 Platinum Planning was opened to appeal to the career focused client that doesn’t have the time to worry about the details but want’s their perfect day. We take the stress off of your shoulders and allow you to be a guest at your wedding or special event.

Amber Novey is the owner and event coordinator for Platinum Planning. She has been coordinating events for over 10 years. Not only does she have years of experience but she received her Bachelors from Sacramento State and then continued on to San Francisco State to earn her certificate in Event and Meeting Planning.

Amber came highly recommended to me from a respected individual in the wedding vendor community. Upon meeting Amber, my husband and I knew that she was going to take special pride in helping our vision for our Wedding Day come true. She did not try to change our ideas or make things «her way». Rather she jumped on board with all that we wanted, fostered our vision and ran with it! She attended venue meetings and dress consultations with me and was in constant contact with all my vendors. She even stored my dress for me the night before the wedding and brought it the next day to the venue! She went to great lengths to make sure our special Wedding Day was perfect — and it was. I can honestly say, not one thing went wrong at my wedding! I even receive multiple complements from guest and our venue (Grand Island Mansion) about how smooth and perfect everything went because of Amber and her team. With her precise planning, everlasting energy & passionate execution, we had a flawless Wedding Day!

As a mother of an East Coast bride, I can attest to how professional and helpful Amber was for the month preceding the wedding and the wedding itself, held last weekend in Sacramento. My daughter and I thought we had a pretty good handle on most of the planning, but needed help with all of the final arrangements, including day of plans, staging the ceremony, coordinating the vendors and choreographing the reception. We were naïve at how overwhelming this all can be! Amber politely but firmly took charge of everything so that we could relax and enjoy the wedding. We left it in Amber’s capable hands and our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have attended! Amber goes above and beyond to ensure a successful event. I highly recommend the Platinum Planning team led by Amber Novey.

Ambers team handled everything perfectly. Amber helped me every step of the way. If I had any question I was always comfortable enough to ask and Amber and her team always had the answer. She helped turn something that was a very over whelming process into something fun and memorable.
I continue to recommend platinum planning to any newly engaged couple. I know that if it weren’t for her I would have been stuck worrying about little details though out my wedding day and I wouldn’t have been able to be in the moment

My wedding was on July 28, 2012 and Amber at Platinum Planning is nothing short of perfection. She is easy going, easy to work with, flexible, fun, creative, knowledgeable about her industry and a expert problem solver. I cannot imagine my wedding without Amber. Amber loves her job and it shows.
For even the most easy going bride a wedding has its stressful moments and having Amber in my corner was always a huge relief whether it was to vent about wedding planning in general or ask her advice on a vendor, concept, idea, etc. She was always a great sounding board and led me to the best vendors.
On the wedding day Amber was calm, professional and extremely helpful. At the end of the night she took home everything you can’t imagine dealing with (i.e. everything — presents, my dress, the grooms tux, leftover wine, leftover cake, favors, etc) the night of your wedding and kept it for me until after I returned from my honeymoon. It was wonderful! I can’t recommend her enough.

This review is from the point of view of a vendor at one of Amber’s events. I own a production company and was Djing, doing lighting and video at a wedding organized by Amber, at a private residence out in the middle of no where. From the start, this was not a typical easy in easy out venue, there were challenges for everyone involved. I have done hundreds of weddings and have seen event planners and coordinators crack under pressure and Amber was the exception. Amber did not show the slightest sign of micro managing, and it made working with her a real delight. Some things came up that could not have been planned for and not only did Amber maintain total control, she almost seemed to smile even larger when things changed a little bit. I look forward to my next event with Amber.
