Rocklin Foreign Car

Rocklin Foreign Car is the ONLY mechanic in the area I trust. My boss has been going to them for 30 yrs and she recommended them. Wayne was awesome! He diagnosed my issue and even got the dealership to cover the problem under an emissions warranty when the dealership told me they wouldn’t cover it. Wayne could have easily charged me the $ 500 for the work but instead he convinced the dealership to do it for free. That’s honesty and integrity you rarely find in a mechanic these days. They have a customer for life now!

A+++ service, workmanship and scheduling. Wayne took my call in person and gave me a fair quote based on our discussion. I dropped my truck off the next day, which was a holiday, and had it back within hours. It’s so refreshing to find a company that does what they say, when they say and without hidden costs or a bait and switch. Rocklin Foreign Car came to me as a recommendation from my brother in law and did not disappoint. I don’t give out very many 5 star reviews, but based on my experience they deserve this one.

Mechanic refused to even test alternator/​battery when I came to this shop and told me to go to dealer because they don’t have any idea on how to work on or get parts for a European car. Advised him I was worried about being broke down on road with no power trying to get to a competent shop but they could care less.
A regular non mechanic at a parts store was able to check electrical and tell me no voltage was coming from alternator. It’s funny how some 20 year old at a part store can easily check but a 40+ year old mechanic supposedly specializing in foreign cars is not capable of telling you anything besides take it to dealer because they don’t know what they are doing. Power left in battery ran out as I was pulling into another shop who is now changing the alternator. I got severely lucky to be able to coast into mechanic with all systems failing as Car ran out of power and didn’t need tow truck.

Wayne, the owner, is the most honest, competent mechanic I have ever met. I have been taking my vehicle to him for a few years and am met with the same professional attitude every time. He takes the time to do research AND explain in a manner that is easy to understand. I completely trust him with my vehicle and know I am being given a fair value as well.

Heard about Rocklin Foreign Car from a co-​worker about two years ago. I wish I would have known about them sooner. There’s a lot of sketchy mechanics around, so I am glad Wayne and his crew run an honest shop. «Once your are with Wayne your life is never a pain». Fair prices, great explanations and friendly service. These guys have the market on Rocklin auto repair.

I was referred to Wayne as honest, thorough and a gifted mechanic. I couldn’t agree more. I have had recurring overheating problems with my domestic vehicle for 7 years, even had to replace a burned up engine 5 years ago. I no longer used the A/​C and kept the heater on to avoid overheating all the time. 6÷17÷13 Wayne had vehicle for 3 days and diagnosed & repaired 3 separate small items, but together they fixed a problem that other mechanics have spent 7 years scratching their heads over while installing larger thermostats. I’ve driven 60 days some 100 degree days without incident. I highly recommend Rocklin Foreign Car.

I seen they had great reviews so I called and explained problem with my vehicle and was told no problem bring it in. I had it towed in. They had car all day and never called me with estimate or diagnostic. When I call owner says how much time you want me to spend… I said Huh? What? He says well how deep do you want us to go? Again I am lost as to what problem is. So he says come pick it up we cant fix it. I said why, he says no trouble code! So what the heck did mechanics do before scanners? I know that was rhetorical! So this is the first time I hear a mechanic say they cant fix something because they cant diagnose problem. So owner seemed like nice guy but service especially after paying $ 80. to tow car there was unacceptable!

Wayne is the most honest mechanic there is. We’ve been going for years and years. We have taken foreign and domestic cars. We call him before we make any new vehicle purchase. We always make an appointment but sometimes can’t wait and have to take it elsewhere, but that’s only because he is a great mechanic and has a lot of clients. There have been a few times where we have taken our cars in without an appointment and he’s taken them right away because the issue was so serious he didn’t want us to drive it until it was fixed. I would hate to see him retire or move away. We’ve been coming to him for so many years, we’d be lost without him…

My husband and I have used Wayne for years. He is professional, runs a clean auto shop and has accommodated us on a few occasions that we needed service after hours. I have never worried or had to second guess his diagnosis or billing and that is worth 5 stars alone. The clean bathroom and waiting area is just icing that we women appreciate. Very convenient location (NOT a sketchy area like so many auto shops) right off of I-​80 too.

Excellent service and communication! I needed my car to pass smog and there were some things that needed to be worked on to get it back to the tight emissions standards here in California. The cost wasn’t as high as I thought it would be and the service is great!

I borrowed my dads car and the check engine light came on. I called Rocklin Foreign car and they were able to help me the same day. I dropped off the car and had the car repaired in just a few hours. Wayne did a great job. I wil be bringing in my own cars for furture service, and recommending them as well. Thanks

So I call a week early and make an appointment to have my schedule b service done on my Mercedes. A couple of days later, I call back and change the appointment to the following day. No problem! Scheduled and done! I show up, give my name, my appointment time and was told, «Noone should have made that appointment time for you. This conflicts with our lunch break.» Then the receptionist dissapears into the shop coming back with a mechanic who says, «Come back tomorrow.» Just like that.
I schedule a week in advance, have two phone conversations with the receptionist, drive a ½ hour to get there (hour total with the drive back), have made arrangements for someone to pick me up and drop me back off 2.5 hours later (who was already waiting outside) and just as simple as you can say, howdeedodee, I hear, «Come back tomorrow.»
Well, I have new car and was in the market for a new shop but I am certain that I won’t be going back there.

Every time I take a car to a mechanic I feel helpless. Thank God for Wayne at Rocklin Automotive. In my 60 years this is the first mechanic I trust. Everything is thoroughly explained and the pricing is very fair. I have never been disappointed in Rocklin Foreign Car!

I have been a customer of Rocklin Foreign Car for years. I refer all my friends and family to this shop and I wouldn’t take my cars anywhere else. Wayne (the owner) and his wife Karen are extremely honest and always explain things in a way that I will understand. The parking lot is always full so I would call and make an appointment ahead of time.

My family has been taking our cars to Wayne for many years. We’ve been customers long before he moved into his nice, new building. Wayne is the only mechanic’s opinion whom I trust. He is fair in his pricing and has even explained repairs that I can do myself after diagnosing problems.
His shop is busy, so be sure to make an appointment. He will take your car, but it may take a few days to get to. Also, if you are going to leave your car overnight, be sure it will be stored in his shop. His old shop had a secured parking area, the new one does not.
