Hello and thanks for checking out my Yelp business profile! My name is Erik and, back in 1987, I graduated with a technical degree from Universal Technical Institute down in Phoenix. (great place to learn about AC) I’ve been fixing heaters and air conditioners in the Sacramento area, and much of California, ever since! Through the years I have achieved my certifications in residential and commercial classifications from Trane Corporation, Carrier Corporation, and many others including DDC controls and Liebert precision computer and data room equipment. And, by choice and favored design, I’m here to provide the community with my neighborly, expert service and repair for all types of heating and air conditioning equipment. Absolutely awesome customer service. Got a same day appointment during the week when it’s forecast to be triple digits and you know they are slammed with service calls. When I called to schedule originally, I did not speak with a «handler» or some switchboard answering service. I spoke with a person who actually works for the company.
Mike, the tech, was fantastic. He showed up on time got right down to business and came back early the next morning to finish up the job first thing. He was very polite, friendly, personable. It was clear at all times that he knew what he was doing. The service was honest, prompt, and reasonably priced.

WOW! What service I called this morning at 6:30am and got a return phone call at 7:45 from Pam She was able to work me in a appointment Eric showed up at 1:00pm and was able to diagnose the problem he found out it was the fan capacitor and replaced it. AC is cooling my house now once again Awesome service and Awesome team at Rocklin Heating and AIR!!! Thanks again

Wanted to change my old thermostats to the new WiFi version. Turns out it is a lot more complicated when Beutler does the original install. Btw, Villara is the old Beutler. I would highly suggest staying away from both companies, they are terrible.
Anyways, I got a bunch of quotes, Rocklin Heating & Air was very reasonable and they did the job that nobody could figure out because of the mess Beutler created. I’ll definitely be using them for all my future HVAC needs!

Motor started squealing from a replaced wrong motor size a few years back. Erik was here and found the issue. Motor quiet and running great. Thanks Erik for another service call. 6÷3÷16
Ac wasn’t blowing cold, barely any air moving. I called Rocklin Heating & Air and could have had same day service but since I was not ready, I scheduled for next day. David showed up on time, truly a nice guy. Got to work, showed me the issue and then checked out the rest of the system. So glad that there are honest service guys working for honest companies. Rocklin heating and air are great and their number is saved for my next emergency. Feels great to be prepared!!!

I just had Rocklin Heating out to repair my AC system. In short, the thermostats had shorted out causing the system not to turn on. I originally had a different company come out and they said my entire system needed to be replaced at a cost of over $ 20,000. After two new thermostats and an optional hard start kit (keeps the power draw in check on start up) I walked away with a bill less than $ 600 and a cool house!!! I cannot say thank you enough.

My AC not working. Called the other company who tried to replace the motor, but, still couldn’t get the AC to work. The other company then have no clue how to fix the AC.
So, I called Rocklin. Eric came and diagnosed the problem. Found out it is the wire issues. The wire was chewed by rodents. *duh*
Eric did a good job in finding out the root cause which the other company failed to find. The price is pretty reasonable. Thanks Eric for saving my AC.

Excellent service!!! I was going out of town and realized that while I’m gone… the temps are going up & I needed someone to come out to the house the same day and check on our sad ac unit… well, it started with Pam… she was great, cheerful & very helpful… they had Eric come out between 2−4…& he was there around 2ish… he went straight to work… did the diagnostic, told me what needed to be fixed & the price & was very thorough… i highly recommend this company!!!

What started as a simple dryer vent cleaning in my new home revealed a horribly inefficient and outdated air conditioning and duct system. Erik and crew replaced the duct work in a quick, timely manner, and engineered a way to increase the efficiency of the A/​C system. I’ll see this summer how effective the job was.

I haven’t had to call them recently but last year when I did need help with my AC I got lucky and found them on Unilocal.These guys are the real deal! A great family owned business with the best service in town! Not only do they know their stuff but they are also honest and provide good old fashioned customer service! I will call no one else for my AC needs!

I called Rocklin Heating & Air this afternoon. The owner, Erik, came an hour later, talk about efficient and prompt! We wanted a second opinion on our furnace because a different company in the area had recommended to us to change both the furnace & ac (which was going to be expensive!), using scare tactics like «if you don’t get a new furnace there is a risk that carbon monoxide gas may leak into the home»
It was like a breath of fresh air to find a trustworthy company & person. There are some Heating & AC companies out there who are only interested in selling high-​priced unit. Erik save us a lot of money by offering some reasonable advice, and he earned our trust.
From now on we will use Rocklin Heating & Air.

Do NOT KNOW how this company is so highly recommend. Maybe it’s because no ones met Erik who works there. The rudest most disrespectful person in a service business I’ve ever met!!! If you get him to come out to your house watch out he’ll be coming back multiple times. I have lived in homes my whole life and this man had the gumption to tell me that air to my bedroom won’t blow there because of whoever built the house, «NOTHING he could do!!» Oh, he goes on to say, unless I want him to rebuild the house will the air blow to the bedroom. If you use this company you may be in a world of headaches. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!

AUG 27, 2015 Outside temp 102
Called Rocklin Heating & Air because outside A/​C unit just started groaning, condenser fan not turning, burning smell, and warm air coming out my A/​C ducts. Phone answered by Erik who was very courteous and said would have someone out within 2 hours.
Within 15 minutes received call from Mike (repair technician), said he would be here within 20 minutes. 15 minutes later Mike arrived. Mike was very courteous, professional, good-​natured, and well presented.
Mike very quickly located problem, a blown capacitor. Mike had new capacitor in his truck, replaced, and A/​C was back on. Total time from initial call to Rocklin Heating & Air, and then to cold air blowing again through my A/​C vents: 45 minutes.
COST:
$ 45 Capacitor
$ 89 Diagnostic Fee
$ 125 Labor
$ 259 TOTAL
I’d say the part (capacitor) was very reasonably priced. The Diagnostic Fee + Labor a little high at $ 214, but given the speed and simplicity of it all, I am satisfied. Take into account the outside temp (currently 102), and having my A/​C back up and running in less than 1 hour after it quit working, I’d have to say the $ 259 Total was a GREAT deal.
Great Job, I’ll be calling Rocklin Heating & Air again if I need future service. *****

A+ awesome sauce!
We live in a tri-​level home where our master bedroom upstairs shares the thermostat and A/​C with the other bedrooms downstairs. For this entire summer we have been sleeping downstairs since we were getting no cold air upstairs.
We finally called a big company competitor first that recommend we get a third A/​C unit for our house so our master bedroom upstairs could have enough air. And they said we should redo all of our duct work. $ 16K was what they said it would cost to do all of that.
After that quote we decided to get a second opinion with Rocklin Heating and Air. They came out and said the duct work just had a kink in it and it would only take a few hours to repair. Three and a half hours later and for only $ 500 I am now sitting upstairs writing this review from my well cooled master bedroom.
If you need an A/​C repair do yourself a favor and call Rocklin Heating and Air.

My husband and I left for a few days to Santa Cruz to get out of the HOT temps and came back home to find our AC not working. We went on YouTube to try and figure out if we could fix it ourselves by flipping some switches but no luck. I looked on Unilocal and saw what a great job Rocklin Heating & Air is doing so I called on a Sunday when they were closed (crossing my fingers someone would answer so I could schedule someone for first thing in the morning). Eric answered took all my information and promised me someone would be at our house by 9am. Doorbell rang at 9am and David Vasquez diagnosed the problem, fixed it and all is cool again in our home. Thank you again for your prompt response and friendly, professional service! We will be a long time customer!

After my air conditioning stopped blowing cold, I called up Rocklin Air based on their Unilocal reviews. This was after calling my installer (Beutler) and was quoted a full week before I could be seen. In the middle of summer!!!
When the tech arrived he quickly guessed the problem (bad capacitor) after I described the symptoms. 5 – 10 minutes in the unit confirmed the problem and I agreed to go ahead with the capacitor replacement.
After fixing the unit, the friendly tech talked to me about maintenance. One piece of advice was to keep the outside condenser unit clear of any shrubs. He then asked if I’d like a coil cleaning. He said this should be done every 3 – 4 years. This is where my small complaint is. First, it didn’t really seem all that dirty by looking at the barely brownish suds. Second, it only took like 10 minutes.
This is for a flat $ 150 charge. Their website explicitly states they don’t do the ‘flat rate pricing structures.’ I already paid a $ 89 diagnostic fee and $ 125 for an hour of labor. Because the tech was easily complete with the cleaning service within the original hour, why was I charged basically another hour labor? Shouldn’t I just be paying for the cleaner itself?
To summarize, I liked the tech, service was done quickly and properly, I just don’t think their pricing structure meets the high standards their own website claims.

Our air conditioner quit night before hottest day of year. Only company I called that could come out next day, not 4 days down the road. I got nervous when i wasn’t contacted during appointment window so I called. Erik said, don’t worry I will come myself. Erik was there in 30 minutes and quickly and professionally fixed the bad capacitor. If we have any issues in the future I would use Rocklin Heating and Air. I like that Erik didn’t try to sell us unnecessary maintenance plans and such. A + service
