I love this office! They defiantly go out of the way to make you feel comfortable. They have a beautiful and clean office, wonderful knowledgable staff and really cool amenities like massage chairs to sit in before your appointment, hand treatments during your appointment, fun stuff for little ones and they give you a delicious fresh baked cookie after your appointment! A+

I have had implant work done at another dental office and this was the best experience I have ever had! Dr. Smurthwaite is so professional, knowledgeable and caring. He made me feel like he was concerned about providing the best care for me and explained everything to me on a level that was understandable and reassuring. The staff is likewise very professional and caring. I truly felt like they all really cared about me and address my concerns fully. I was blessed to find this dental office. I highly recommend it

I recently have begun dental treatment at Smile Quest Dental after researching several dental facilities. I’d been treated for a painful chipped tooth and after a root canal and crown I am pain free and happy. Dr Collins and the rest of the staff have been extremely caring and friendly. Their concern for all my needs and concerns have turned what I had blown up, in my mind, as a traumatic experience, into a happy and pain free event. I highly recommend Smile Quest Dental to anyone who is reticent to visit the dentist. Their work is beautiful and the staff very competent.

I love this place, it’s like going to a spa. The staff is wonderful from front desk to hygienist to doctor. While I was getting my teeth cleaned she gave me a hand paraffin to leave on during the cleaning, put my rings in the ultrasonic cleaner (and they sparked like new). Then I picked a channel to watch with head phones while she did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. WHAT!!! By far the best dental experience I’ve ever had. Go here today

Seriously the sweetest staff EVER! I went in for a cleaning and I had to bring my 10 month old with me. Grace, my hygienist, asked if I would like someone to watch my son and play with him while she cleaned my teeth. Grace was very sweet and knowledgeable and gave me some great tips on taking care of my gums. One of the assistants watched my son and when I was done and went to get him he was just staring at her and smiling. He had a great time and I believe it helped set up a great relationship with the dentist office for his future visits.

I’ve been avoiding the dentist for over 10 years because of a traumatizing experience I had when I was a child. I have been putting off dental work until I couldn’t deal with the pain any longer. I was in the chair for 5 ½ hours (by choice, I wanted to tackle everything in one day). Dr. Starr and staff, particularly Lacey and Melissa, are outstanding. Their calm energy really helped me with my anxiety. I walked out of the establishment feeling so relieved!!! Thank you so much for the awesome service and care.

I am a first time patient here. I just lost my dental insurance and really needed a root canal on a molar. I came in for the complimentary consultation not knowing what would happen. The office is so nice and everyone was super friendly. After the xrays the Dr. came in and examined my tooth and told me what he thought would be the best plan of action. They took my back to go over the cost and went above and beyond to help make my decision the best. They were able to get me in right away to start on the root canal after we went over the cost. I’m very nervous of the pain of the needles but they made it the best experience I have ever had with the numbing. This is the first time I have ever walked out a dentist office not in tears. I’m usually always crying or very distraught when I leave. I am VERY happy with how things went and can’t wait to go back next week to finish up on the root canal.

I’m so glad that a friend referred me to Smile Quest Dental a few years ago. After my dentist from birth to age 35 retired, I had no idea where to go. After my first experience here, Smile Quest Dental in Rocklin became my go-​to place for all of my dental needs. Their staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable about the latest procedures and make you feel welcome.
I usually have Charles Smurthwaite as my primary dentist but needed an «emergency visit» and saw Jonathan Collins yesterday. I needed several root canals (my first & hopefully last) and am getting a couple of crowns in the next few weeks. The gentle hands of my hygienist, Stefanie made the several shots of Novocain, virtually unnoticeable. Even the ones into my palate! Dr Collins and his assistant, Wendy are at the top of their game and made the horror stories of root canals just a «story» with the experience I had with them. I nearly fell asleep during the first few. Dr Collins even provided his cell phone number just in case I had any questions or concerns and checked in on me himself with a phone call, before he left his office for the day. Now that’s phenomenal service!

I went in for another appointment and the staff was excellent and dentist was just great and !! They did everything possible to accommodate my schedule and Dr. Collins even called me today to see how I was doing since he had to fix a broken tooth. Things have seemed to get better with the customer service cause they were all over things in a great way. Good Job!

Let me echo the thoughts of the previous poster. I was looking for a dentist when I relocated to this area after retiring and transplanting myself from the Palo Alto area last year. These folks are perfect for my needs. They offer state of the art friendly and professional dental services and they were perfect for my much thought about adventure into Invisalign land. I have lived with really crooked lower front teeth forever and finally decided to get it done. At 65 I figure better late than never! These wonderful people gave me the confidence in them and in myself that I could really do this. I just finished my first post impression visit and had my attachment «buttons» put in place and am now happily wearing my first set of aligners. The process was fast and gentle (took about an hour) and I received excellent patient education on how to put them in and take them out and how to use and care for them. Since I have worn a night mouth guard for about 5 years for teeth grinding these feel like nothing. Immediately I felt completely comfortable with them and barely notice them. I change them every 2 weeks and my next short appointment will be in one month. I can’t wait to see my white straight teeth in about a year. They also include complementary tooth whitening gel, which is a big plus as I had Zoom whitening at a dental office about 10 years ago and I know how expensive that is. Smile Quest Dental accepts Care Credit payment plan so I can pay it off interest free over 12 months. Since I don’t have any dental insurance that is a huge help. All in all, you can’t go wrong in trusting your dental health to these fine folks!

First time here and it was so pleasant coming here. Everyone was cheerful and have an awesome smile. I felt they are going to take care of me and give me the smile I wanted. Angela was my dentist assistant. She is friendly and easy to talk to. She made me feel comfortable and educated me. I did not know my fillings had mercury that was a total surprise. I need to get those removed ASAP. Dr. Starr is also awesome. Very informative and answered all my questions. I knew for sure I wanted them to be my primary dentist to get my fillings replaced and get my Invisalign but towards the end of my visit I found out my dental plan would not cover. Which bummed me out but it’s ok. Hopefully, one day my dental plan changes and then I will come back to them. =)

This must be one of the best dental I’ve been to and love it. Super friendly staff and a very nice office that makes you feel like home. If you dont wanna wait, go get a massage, clean your jewelry, have a snack n etc. I must say, the boss Dental is so cool and funny along with his dental assistant and financial advisor. I got my membership the same day and will be looking forward for procedures there.

I drive from the bay area to Smile Quest every 6 months. They are the best! Gentle, caring, state of the art facility, killer prices, massage chairs, jewelry cleaning and paraffin wax to soften your hands. Outstanding!

I love coming here. My wife is in the dental field so I am very familiar with dental offices and how they run. My wife gets her cleaning done here also. She currently works ortho in Granite Bay.
I was telling her about an RDAEF that worked on me and she said he name was familiar. My wife goes in and recognizes her as someone she trained 20 years ago. She had her do her cleaning and they chatted the whole time.
Anyway, back to the review. No hard selling or up selling. They give options but I am familiar with what I need and no pressure at all. This is what always makes me come back.

Great! Great! Great! Last June, I had my permanent dental implant bridges. Dr. Collins and his assistant really did a great job in making me feel comfortable through the whole process. And my dental bridges are just great. Today (Oct 22) was my first check up and cleaning since and as usual Dr. Collins and the rest of the associates at Smile Quest Dental were there to greet me and make me feel at home. Kari my dental hygienist was so nice, gentle and professional. I went through the whole process with no discomfort. I highly recommend Smile Quest Dental to anyone looking for a dental office. Thanks to Dr. Collins, Krissey, Kari, Tricia, Theresa, Stefhany and everybody at SQD.

I have been so impressed by the staff at Smile Quest Dental and Dr Smurthwaite. Needing some teeth pulled and and a permanent bridge for the front top of my mouth, II could not be happier! First of all the staff go out of their way to make your visit as pleasant and comfortable as humanly possible. Secondly, the prep work that they performed to get me ready for each visit for Dr Smurthwaite was exceptional. It was the first time I did have to tell people working on my mouth that I still could feel everything after getting novicain shots. Not only that but almost did not feel the prick for the shots that I did receive. The actual precedures were peformed quickly, all the while be asked if I was ok and comfortable which I was the entire time.
The biggest boost to my ego and confidence took place just yesterday when a business rep after not seeing me for a month complimented me on my great smile and said she noticed right away and said my smile looks really great.
So I owe Dr Smurthwaite a big thank you on the work he did for me. Writing this review is the least I can do to show my appreciation to him and his staff. I highly recommend that if you just need dental work to cosmetic, Smile Quest Dental should be were you go for your dental needs!

My son went there and they told him he needed 6 cavities to be filled. So I called our previous dentist and question why are my son’s teeth in such bad condition? He asked me to bring my son back took xrays and showed me nothing was wrong with his teeth, Be very careful of this place!
