Really good coffee and espresso products. Monte definitely knows what he is doing. Yesterday he gave a how to tutorial at the Rustic Table, he is a master of his craft. I was amazed at his knowledge and experience. Thank you Monte! Love you man!!!

Walked in and thought it was a coffee shop, but it was a roaster. Had THE best experience at a coffee shop. I was greeted by a name behind an espresso bar named Monty and he was so kind to make me a latte. Also when I told him that I never had chai before, he generously made me a sample. Such a pleasant experience & the coffee quality was superb!

I found this business via Unilocal and was not let down. Amazing customer service. Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. The coffee you get is roasted the same day and there are so many different varieties to choose from! The only thing I don’t like is that I can’t get through my coffee fast enough to try all of them haha. 5 stars for the coffee and then a few more for the employees who truly make this business shine.

A premium roaster and espresso machine repair/​distributer in Rocklin?!? Yes it’s true! Vaneli’s is one of the biggest espresso machine repair and supply businesses in the United States. They also do an exquisite job of roasting coffee! As mentioned in other reviews this is not a café, they supply beans and machines.
The manager up front is Pong. He could not be more polite or helpful! His recommendations to me were spot on and the quality of their merchandise is unsurpassed. Be wary if he makes you a mocha… you will be hooked, especially since he makes them with a copious amount of chocolate– the way I make mine. Their roasts are spot on the way I like my espresso. The price is on par with other premium local roasters such as Chocolate Fish in Sacramento. I also got a Blond Guatemalan roast for my drip coffee set-​up when I want a Vietnamese Drip over condensed milk.
Down to the business of getting a machine– they are my go to place now! I have been looking for an E-​61 espresso head Italian machine for about a decade now. Upon researching geeky coffee reviews and high end aficionado reviews for robust machines I decided on the La Scala «Butterfly». These are a chunk of change– expect about $ 2000 out the door! Vaneli’s is one of two places in the USA that sells such a machine! This was a major selling point for me as such a machine should last for 20 years with standard use and maintenance, however having the shop that can repair and supply small parts such as gaskets just up the street is a major point of confidence for me!
Their sales rep. Monte could not be nicer or more down to earth! If you buy a La Scala they will not let it out of the shop without a 48 hr testing period. Monte was kind enough to bring it to my house after the 48 hrs, help me with set up, and give me and my spouse a two hr lesson on the intricacies of the machine, use of my grinder, and how to pull a good espresso with steamed foam usable for Latte’ art! Bravo Monte! Thank you so much!

–Not a café! They roast their own beans and sell premium coffee machines and accessories.
–Professional grade machines are expensive! Not a place for a $ 50 Mr. Coffee automatic.
–Full service repair for high end and commercial machines from a knowledgeable, friendly, and honest staff.
I hope to have a relationship with them for many years to come as they are my go to place for my espresso roast!

WARNING! This is not a café – it is a local roasting company. And a fine good one, at that. Following Unilocal inside, I was embarrassed to find that it was not an urban café, but rather a bunch of friendly guys sitting at their desks. Pong, the general manager, was super hospitable and offered to make me a complimentary latte anyway (which was quite smooth). I felt so bad (which Pong assured me not to), so I insisted on buying a 12 oz. of whole beans to make my mistake worth while. I carelessly picked the Guatemalan blonde roast – I should start making careless decisions more often! This coffee is SOOO good. I drink my coffee with a splash of cream, and doctored accordingly this roast makes my whole body melt with satisfaction. I’ve been a pretty devout Peet’s drinker at home, but after this Vaneli’s roast, I’m a changed woman. Stop on in and make an account so you can get the best beans or grounds around & locally in Rocklin. Don’t you think you deserve some satisfaction, too?

Great prices and a nice local roaster/​grinder. The coffee is good. Not as great as Temple or Verve but (with the Unilocal coupon) it’s $ 8/​lb vs. $ 20/​lb. and for the price difference it’s good enough.

My goodness did Unilocal help me here…5 stars thank you Unilocalers! Not a café. but coffee roasting that does sell coffee beans and coffee – (lattes and expessos, etc.). A bit lost and took a turnoff in Rocklin, what a right turn it turned out to be !

He suggested the Aztec Mexican mocha after I’d asked him to choose. This was honestly like a mini trip to Italy, it felt, flavor and exquisite taste and texture it took me two hours to drink this small cup as if was so nice I jud wanted to enjoy the experience .

I had been looking for a local roaster to visit and stumbled upon this place through Unilocal.I wasn’t sure of what to expect since Vaneli’s is primarily a roaster/​service center, but I can assure anyone reading this that Vaneli’s is all about QUAILTY.
From the moment I walked into their reception area (I say this because they’re not a coffee shop although they have a myriad of different machines set up and ready to brew their different roasts on a moments whim) I was greeted by not 1, but 4 different employees who were all interested in chatting and showing off their finest roasts. I was helped by a Monte who happened to be there on his day off. He took an hour out of his day to make us tons of different kinds of espresso and coffee to include his favorite a Mexican mocha. His energy and enthusiasm was contagious. He then took us to the back warehouse and introduced us to the roaster that day who stopped what he was doing to show us how things worked. Handfuls of beans later, smells galore, I no longer felt like a novice.
This experience was the BEST I have ever had in relationship to the coffee industry. I purchased two bags of coffee, but you would have thought that I had purchased a $ 10,000 machine with the type of drop-​dead service I was graciously awarded.
It is apparent that Vaneli’s is more concerned with making a quality product that making a giant profit. In the small business world this is what separates those with passion from the big box stores. I hope to see their business grow and expand over time.

This afternoon, I stopped by the whole foods in Davis and had a talk with one of sales rep from vaneli’s.
The gentlemen poured the Monster Italian and one word, phenomenon.
It was simply amazing, it had a very strong flavor. Without adding dairy, it had a sweet taste to it.

I’ve purchased green coffee beans for home-​roasting here for a while now and I’m always impressed by how helpful the staff is. I recently bought a new coffee roaster from here as well, and again was impressed with the staff. This isn’t a trendy coffee joint, no flash or flare, but what you get is a solid product (coffee or equipment) at great prices, sold by people that seem to care and know what the heck they’re doing. It’s a refreshing find. If you’re in the market for roasted coffee, equipment or supplies for your home or business, do yourself a favor and start here.

About Customer Service and Equipment Selection: I just purchased a grinder and some miscellaneous accessories from Vanelli’s to go with the espresso maker I received for Christmas. (A Cuisinart M-​100 from Fry’s would you believe.) I will tell you it is worth the drive from downtown Sacramento to do business with Vanelli’s. I dealt with Monte who is very knowledgable about their coffee and equipment. He helped me analyse my needs and helped me settle on a Mini Pro II grinder, which was not even their most expensive consumer level grinder. Monte answered questions I had about making espresso on a machine that was not purchased from them. He demonstrated different grinds and how they affect the «pull», and dialed in the new grinder for me to get it close to what I will need with my machine. As a treat he even showed me how to do latte art so I can really impress my wife with my new coffee drinks. All of their products are available on line, but I will diffinitely make the drive to Rocklin for my future coffee needs.

Found this great coffee bean roaster, as we were looking for somebody to purchase beans from for our bakery & coffee house.
Called & spoke with Dave & literally a couple of days later, he was up to our shop & brought many beans for us to sample. Our customers loved the coffee! They also sell commercial coffee brewers, grinders, espresso machines, etc. The staff is great!

I opened a coffee shop in downtown Placerville in February, 2011. Vaneli’s was the existing coffee roaster and after meeting Dave Whyte and taste testing Vaneli’s coffee, we decided to continue serving Vaneli’s in our shop. I own a coffeeshop in Tahoe, and after a long time of searching for the perfect roasting partner, we have found it in Vaneli’s. We made the switch last month, and not only do I love it, but we have had nothing but great feedback from our customers. Just met Dave at Vaneli’s. It was my first time in after my favorite roasting in Los Angeles had recommended swinging by. I was there for a solid 30 – 40 minutes chatting about different coffee regions, tasting nuances, brewing methods, and more. Dave asked me if I «wanted a shot». I’ve never been one to turn down a free shot (of any kind), so I headed to the back room and he served me up. He wanted the taste to be just right, so he actually made a couple shots before it came out to the perfection he wanted me to try.
That interaction sums up the experience I had at Vaneli’s. The care about the quality of the beans and the art of drinking coffee.
I picked up a pound of Costa Rican that Dave recommended. The per pound prices were the only thing that threw me off a bit. I’m sure it will be great coffee… and I should hope so at $ 14.85/lb. Most of the prices were between $ 12-​$ 15 per pound. At least you know you’re getting good quality, freshly roasted beans.

Found this compay on Unilocal after talking to about 4 other companies about comercial espresso machine repair. I am about 70 minutes from Sacramento so any repair would require quite an expense just in the commute time. After talking to the other companies and having them explain to me that they were very familiar withmy machine and could fix my problem for around $ 500, I decided to make one more phone call before giving in to this big expense. I called Vannelli’s and they were able to tell me how to fix the machine over the phone. AT NO CHARGE! I will definitely call them for all my espresso needs from now on.

I saw an advertisement in a Sacramento Food magazine about Coffee tasting. There was a sidebar ad for Vaneli’s Coffee Valentine gift set. I have never heard of Vaneli’s, so I was curious. I am a coffee fiend and I have been in the market for a new Espresso beans. No offense to Peet’s or SB’s, but I need to get my Coffee spending habit down. I used to be a Barista for Nordies and have an Espresso machine at home. Armed with the ad, I went online to shop for something of a Med. Roast, but not too bitter. I found the Espresso Forte 1 Lbs. which is described as–
«The darker roast rounds out the acidity while pushing the sweet dark chocolate tones to the foreground. The balance of medium-​dark and light roasted coffees from Africa, India, and Central and South America produces a celebrated espresso with copious amounts of crema. Perfectly suited for cappuccinos, Mochas or lattes».
Being that I constantly drinks Mochas and Lattes, it seemed like the most logical choice. My order was delayed because I influxed my c/​c number on the initial order. A Customer Service representative called me and had assisted me to correct the problem. She then sent out the order the next day. It arrived via UPS and was exactly what I ordered. The bag has a Vacuumed sealed bag and stays airtight. The Espresso is a little bitter, but has light Chocolate notes. The Crema on top is perfect and it taste way better than Peet’s or Starbucks. I will definitely order from them again and it is such a value at $ 12.10 for a Lb bag and with shipping amounted to $ 7.53. $ 20.00 is what I normally spend on average in a given week at Coffee Shops. 5 Stars overall for the Customer Service and Product.

In a random office park Deep in Sactown suburbia you can see dozens of fancy Italian espresso machines for home or business. Don’t even think of Williams and Sonoma for this kind of shopping.
Vaneli’s also does commercial roasting and repair service for your fancy Italian espresso machine. They stock tons of spare parts for both machines and grinders.
It’s really cool that there is a brick and mortar business (in Norcal) for what is usually an online process.
They would have gotten five stars if Nicole had offered me a shot, and shown me a demo of the prototype Macap M4 electronic doserless…
