the quality of food went up a degree or two within the past few months. i got the chicken and french toast and it was pretty amazing. it was especially good considering this was a chain restaurant and it served me a brunch dish that was better than just about any other brunch item i’ve had in my life. i didn’t try the burgers, but my friends both said, compared to the other times they’ve been to bareburger, this was the best they ever had. i don’t know if they got a new chef or changed management, but the quality has gone way up.

I’m not Vegan, I don’t have a gluten allergy and all I want is a good burger and a beer. I’ve eaten at BBD’s which is also overpriced and delicious and I’ve eaten at Dirty Burger which reminds me of a better seasoned Five Guys(just to give you an idea of my opinion) and I gotta say, I love Bareburger. I’m probably going to be biased just because it’s a quick drive for me and I love anything that lets me construct my own burger with condiments I won’t find anywhere else(you need to pair fig jam and bacon) so falling in love with the food was not difficult. I’ve eaten at too many places that don’t know how to cook a burger– medium does not mean that it has a pulse– and I get bored of the generic burgers you find everywhere else. I have no complaints about the food– the sauces are amazing(can you say paprika mayo on everything?), the burger was delicious, and yes the sides are good even if I had to pay $ 3.25 to add one. I should mention they serve 60oz beers and I’m probably swinging by on a Friday or Saturday and praying it’s not busy. The ONLY complaint I have is possibly service and it’s minor. Service is not bad but I’m so used to having a server pop up and ask how we’re doing or if we need anything else so often that having to look around for her on a Wednesday night when the place is empty was a first. I don’t want to know what the place looks like when it’s actually busy.

If you don’t mind waiting 25 minutes for an ordinary salad then you will like it. As for me, its overpriced, slow, and way overrated.

This was my second visit to bareburger in RVC and I’m confused by the bad reviews. I came on Super Bowl Sunday during the game(if you hate football, best time to do anything!) and it was empty except for five tables. I had a beef burger with country bacon and bleu cheese, and my friend had an elk burger that was really tasty. The service was awesome– very friendly, and the server took the time to tell me about some game day specials they had like $ 3 fries and specials on milkshakes and ice cream sandwiches. …which is when I was like HOLDTHEPHONE, ICECREAMSANDWICHES? Tell me more, tell more more(grease theme here)! I ended this DELISH meal with a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich, with vanilla ice cream in the middle and it came with chocolate sauce to dip into. The server even gave me a caramel sauce additionally since I had a hard time deciding. It’s the little things :) This ice cream sammy was flippin out of this world. The cookies were so soft that they nearly fell apart(but didn’t) and the ice cream was so creamy. I recommend the caramel dipping sauce, it’s kinda like caramel/toffee. I’m dreaming about this dessert now. You’re welcome.

Let me just say… Best burger I’ve ever had I’ve seen this place since it first opened and have been interested. My family and I went one day and absolutely loved it! I love the fact how almost everything that was in their was recycled and their meat is grass fed free range no hormones! I also loved the different types of meat, cheeses, patties, bacon, lettuces, and sauces they have. Their beer was amazing and my kids loved the Lemonades and sodas! Great family place and I defiantly recommend going there!

Love this place! The people who work there are always in a good mood and the food is definitely different but I like it. The fries and honey mustard sauce is the bomb!

I am surprised by all the bad reviews. This is hands down the best burger I have ever had. The milk shakes are to die for and worth the $ 7. I also get the homemade root beer. The burgers are moist and melt in your mouth. The décor is trendy and the staff is quick and courteous. Go on a weekday as it’s packed on the weekends. I’ve been here maybe 5 times and it has yet to disappoint. It’s not cheap, but good things never are.

Friendly service and fresh food! Who could complain?!! Great atmosphere for the entire family. Metered parking lot behind the restaurant. Reasonably priced meals compared to the frozen crap most chain restaurants serve!

This is a lifestyle restaurant. It’s NOT a place grab a burger. You go here for gluten free, hormone free, free range… It is way over priced if you compare it to a regular burger place. Service was lacking. We waited 10 minutes and 2 different servers for a refill water jug. The burgers are ok. Nothing to write home about. The add on price for little things(like bbq sauce) just rubs me the wrong way. Unless your lifestyle compells you to come here, there are way too many better burger options in RVC!

No Bueno! We had been raving about the place in the city and were excited when we saw this place in our area. We ordered the fire quacker(duck burger recommended by our server) it was nasty, no seasoning tasted like they just grounded it up and served it. The southern caviar burger smh no good extra bland meat. The onion rings and fries were decent but this spot is way over priced. 2 burgers onion rings n SP fries and 2 beers for 60 $. Naw I’m sorry never again! Plus we both felt sick on the ride home. The service was good and that’s about it!

3 strikes and you’re out. I was so excited for this location to open, but I have not enjoyed dining here once. I loved my experience at the Forrest Hills location. My food was excellent. I went the other day and spent a fortune for food that I could not eat. The fries and onion rings were decent, but not worth the price. My fried chicken was burned on the outside, and under-cooked on the inside. When I complained, the waiter tried to compensate with free dessert. Eventually, the manager came over and removed the sandwich from the bill entirely. He was very apologetic and professional. The bill still came to almost $ 60.00. I was so excited for this restaurant to come to RVC, but I’ve just been disappointed too many times. Take some advice from the guys in Forrest Hills… they are doing an amazing job!

Went here for lunch. It was not busy, so it was quiet. The server was nice and helpful. I had a duck burger. It was by far the best burger that I have ever had. I also had the Alcoholic ginger beer which was amazing. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone.

I really, really like Bareburger. Like, really. Unfortunately, this location is still very hit-or-miss with me. Let me explain why: The first time I came here with a friend, I was amazed. Awesome décor, great menu, and great location. It was mid-day, which meant that it was empty, and we got plenty of attention from the waiter. I ordered the standard burger and fries and everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. When the fries are crispy, I’m in heaven, especially with those dipping sauces. However, the second time I came to this location with my siblings, I was not as impressed. It was at night, and a lot more crowded, but that should not have affected the food. The fries were not at all crispy. Instead, they were soggy. The burger(I went standard again) was OK, but the soggy, flavorless fries sort of killed the meal for me. Finally, I went here one more time, hoping for a better experience. I went ahead and got something different and tried the Southern Caviar burger. For me, it was a huge mistake because I didn’t like the taste whatsoever. I realized how much I don’t like bison(at least not from here!) and the toppings made it worse(was it the pimento cheese? the horseradish remoulade? I guess I will never know!) It won’t be the last time I dine here, but I would just love to see more consistency. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Waitress was attentive. Food was ok. We ordered the Bison burger and the Elk burger. Neither were that great.

Came here the other night with my boyfriend… ordered a strawberry milkshake which was amazing. He got a duck burger and I got a chix sandwich and split onion rings(still thinking about how good these were) however the 2 stars is based off that the service is VERY slow finally our food arrived and both of our meals were wrong sent them back another 30 mins and they both came out again wrong with no cheese on both!(Which we were charged for) Didn’t bother to say anything at this point we were starving… the food is good but the service and how long it takes isn’t worth it. Also I wish they had appetizers on the menu, that’s the best part of going out to dinner!

Still brand new have a few kinks to work out… just opened jitters I’m sure. Had take out the other night. Was shocked to get a spot and no line since they just opened. The staff was helpful explaining the menu and helping me decide. The food was very good though pricey. Definitely try out the onion rings they are awesome, especially with the different sauces. Will definitely be back for a sit down meal very soon. But please don’t turn into all the other burger joints that have opened and been awesome and literally just went down the crapper with service and food… I have high hopes for you bareburger!

I’ve only been to one another Bareburger prior to this one. That experience introduced me to the wonderful complexities of Bareburger’s menu. The concept behind the chain is fantastic, and allows the carnivores to eat in peace, knowing that their meat was treated right before it ended up on their plates. There’s also plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options throughout the menu. A plus, and possibly a necessity these days for most restaurants. This location enjoys the spaciousness of Long Island – the restaurant’s décor is great. Lots of portraits of animals thinking they’re people, wooden tables with quirky little outlines saying things like«Drink Me» and«Share Me,» and a bright, open feeling. The staff was just getting their feet wet, and that was pretty evident. But they tried their best. For now, there’s no booze at this location – no beer, wine, liquor, etc. But we spied the beginnings of taps and look forward to when the place gets their license, if they’re getting one at all. Instead, we ordered cold brew coffees. Still good. They have an extensive selection of organic sodas too. The food itself was yummy. I got the hot honey sandwich and substituted a sprout bun in place of the brioche bun with no incident. I appreciated the ease of making the substitution. The fried chicken and sauce were yummy, as were the dill pickles I ordered on the side(allegedly a 100 year old recipe). The serving size was healthy – not too much, but enough to feel satisfied. My boyfriend ordered the Grindhouse burger, which is elk(all red meats are done medium) with a bunch of other things going on. The combination was amazing, and probably better than my chicken sandwich. We also shared onion rings, which were, as onion rings usually are, very good. Bathroom is large, single-occupant, and clean. Hope it stays that way. Overall, I’m glad to see this NYC chain find a suburban home that’s easy to get to and seems to fit right in with the RVC roster.

Went here for lunch with my coworkers. The restaurant is decorated with potrait paintings of animals in clothes, tables are bare with no stain or varnish, chairs also are bare wood. Actually looks very nice and there was a good vibe going into the place. We were greeted and seated right away. The menu consists of burgers, salads, drinks, sides, etc. Just one page front and back. We had to wait awhile for our waitress to take our order. Coworkers ordered the Supreme & Farmstand. I ordered the Standard with fries. Food took awhile to get to our table but I expect that since it is not fast food. My burger was tasty but was medium rare not medium. If you don’t specify how you want your burger cooked they will cook it medium. My coworkers said that there burgers were tasty as well but also medium rare. My fries were not as crispy as I would like but still tasted good. As with any high end burger joint expect to pay more for a burger especially a wild boar burger or a duck burger. The cheapest burger of the specialty burgers was the Standard at $ 8.95. Fries were a little pricy at $ 2.80. Shakes were $ 4.99 and $ 6.99 flavors: chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, banana, raspberry and peanut butter. Overall a good dining experience. Will definitely go back when I have money.

First time ever going to Bareburger… I left a huge fan! It took a few minutes to realize it’s a sit down restaurant, but that’s irrelevant. For lunch I ordered the Buckaroo with fries and a root beer. I originally ordered sweet fries, but apparently they ran out? I’m not sure how you can out of something 72 hours after opening, but that’s another story. The manager did offer me normal fries on the house, which is always a nice gesture. I was always a hater of the all-natural movement, but you can really taste the difference! The burger was juicy and extremely flavorful. Compared to other burger chains such as Five Guys or BurgerFi, I put Bareburger near the top. I can’t wait for my next visit!

Lets start with the positives… –They did a beautiful job with the renovations of this location –The hostess was super nice –Onion rings and fries with the dipping sauces were great Now for the not so positives… –No one in my group of five liked their burger. They were either too well done or were bland. This is not good considering we all ordered one of their specialty burgers. Additionally, the people in my group who have been to other Bareburger locations said that these burgers were not nearly as good. –There are only 14 tables in this restaurant: 4 booths, 2 four-tops, and 8 two-tops. So this place is not ideal for large groups of people(they also won’t split the check more than 4 ways) –They don’t have their liquor license yet, and won’t allow BYOB –They were playing cartoons on the television, and would not turn on the Mets game –They forgot to bring something we ordered out, and interrogated us to make sure we really didn’t get it and were not just trying to get something for free –The water glasses are extremely small, and hold about three sips of water –No additional napkins on the table Overall, I would suggest sticking with one of the locally owned burger places.
