Ate here last night with friends of ours. We were a party of 8(4 adults and 4 kids) and we were seated in the back room. It was beautiful, cozy and quiet. There was another table of 8 in the room as well. That’s it. Loved it! The food was delicious! We shared the meat and cheese board and the mussels with beans and ir was delicious! The kids shared the Margherita pizza which was sooo fresh! for my entrée, I have the kale salad with cranberries and pistachios. Small portion but it was perfect for me. My husband had the Cavetelli with veal meatballs and he loved it too!!! Service was on point. Will definitely go back if I’m in the area!

Food was great. Took 2 stars off because of the service, we were put at a table by the door in the corner by the bar. It was busy but our server totally forgot about us, other wait staff made up for it, no dessert offered. Would come back again for the food.

As, the review suggests, this place was A-Ok. I would definitely go back as the food was delicious and came out quickly. Started with a dirty Grey Goose martini(pretty good) and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with dinner. Took a while for us to get a glass of tap water, though. Atmosphere was good, lights were a little bright for nighttime dining. Overall, very solid Italian dinner spot in RVC if you are looking for a good wine list, and traditional atmosphere and menu.

Went for a nice dinner, and had a roach crawl across our table!!! We were moved to another table once we told the waiter. And when the manager came over, he only offered to pay for our drinks. Will never go back.

The best Northern Italian food on South Shore Long Island! everything on the menu fresh authentic and delicious, my favorites are the St Peters Fish, Chiken Pommery and the farfalle alla salmon, The thin crust brick oven pizza and Panini’s are a must try! Extensive wine list for all u wine lovers as well as Perrone on tap, the waitstaff here are so friendly and accommodating as well, ambience is dim lit beautiful and romantic with a great garden room in the back for private parties, Ray the owner of this fine establishment takes a lot of pride and it shows! Try Dodici once and u will become a regular!

Was driving around looking for a spot for lunch with hubby and came across this place so we randomly decided to stop. It’s great. It was a Monday afternoon so it wasn’t even close from packed which I loved. We got to choose our own table. They give you bread to start. I thought the outside was hard but the inside was very soft. Hubby said it’s supposed to be like that so ok. The olive oil they gave with it was good. Flavored with rosemary. I liked. I’m giving one star off bc there aren’t many people here but it still took a long time for our food to come. BUT the food was GREAT! Delicious! I had the capatelli de broccolini. It was grilled chicken with broccolini and tomatoes in a garlic and oil sauce. DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommended. Wait staff and host very nice. I liked it a lot. Glad we stopped.

This place is not the place to go if you want courteous service. The waiter was extremely rude and uncaring about food allergies. When called to make reservations they said they could accommodate the food allergy. That was not the case at all. The waiter embarrassed and acted rude. I know I will never go to this restaurant if that’s how they treat their patrons paying good money.

Great delicious food, cozy and the waiters are well versed in hospitality. One problem the woman at the next table was loud and inconsiderate.

Went here on a whim on Saturday night and was able to be seated right away without a reservation. Was pleasantly surprised by the authentic italian feel(ambiance especially), extensive and unique menu, wine list, and service. Got a really good red wine from Tuscany and the kale salad. Also had the spinach tagliatelle with sundried tomatoes and chicken. Chicken was not super fresh, but the whole meal in general was beautiful and delicious. Also, the italian cheesecake! Get it! Will definitely go here again. The waiter spoke Italian, which reminded me of my time living in Italy.

Great food and excellent wine selection. Superb service. We went during Restaurant Week so it was only $ 92 per couple. The food is authentic. My friend had the huge veal chop. I had the Vitello Fontinella(veal scallopini). Delicious.

The food and drink at Dodici are always excellent. I currently live in the City and will always eat at Dodici whenever I’m on Long Island because of it’s authentic Italian feel. I have been to this restaurant numerous times and I have always had an enjoyable experience.

Went here for my grandfather’s 87th birthday. Good food, nothing that completely blew me away. I got the Gnocchi alla Bolognese and I enjoyed it very much. Caesar salad was a little soggy. I get the feeling it was made a while before I ordered it. Three of four people who tried the Lobster Bisque loved it. Seemed a little expensive for the type of food we got. I guess you pay extra for the very nice atmosphere. I was surprised to find that we were the only table on a Sunday afternoon. Oh well, we got more attention that way, and more people to sing Happy Birthday! They were very good about accomodating my great uncle’s Celiac’s disease, saying to him«tell us what you want to eat, and we’ll make it for you with gluten free ingredients.» That impressed me a lot. Also, my grandfather, a set-in-his-way picky-ish eater, asked for Veal Parmagiana, not specifically on the menu, and they made it for him no questions asked, besides«What type of pasta side would you like?» I was impressed by their willingness to make the customers happy. If I am in the area again, I will remember Dodici.

Everything about this place is on point. Food, service, atmosphere, etc! My husband and I go at least twice a year. It was our first date spot and where we got engaged(the manager comped us two glasses of wine).

Nothing special, don’t expect to be impressed. Mediocre expensive«Italian». Just as the majority of Italian restaurants on Long Island.

Restaurant 101 for Long Island … been in that location for over 20 years. Its All Good. 1.Candlelit…whitetableclothed(that’s not a word)…trendy grown up Bar… LongIsland Southern Italian charm… 2.Great Martinis good wine list. 3 Food is consistent … terrific in the summer when it can get Farm To Table… Its Southern Italian so order with tomato content in mind. 4 Service is decent, courteous, gracious. they do get impatient after 930PM but dont really shoo you away. 5 Yummy desserts. Valet Park occasionally . We luv you Dodici. may you always remain consistent so we have a Go-to Place with friends and family. Thanks for Years of Hospitality. .

I can’t sleep because of the awful agita I’m suffering from my dinner here tonight, so what better thing to do than Unilocal?I haven’t been here since my first date in 1995 so since Dario’s was mysteriously closed, I decided to try this place as an adult. It’s Restaurant Week and the sign on the front door is advertising $ 28.99 or something prix fix dinner. Awesome. We order from the Restaurant Week menu. The bread would have been great had it actually been warm. Cheesy, cold, greasy bread had potential, but failed miserably. The décor and ambiance was classy & tastefully decorated, but super loud inside. We could barely hear each other and had to scream across the table so it was easier just to not talk. Also, staple items were absent from the table such as salt and pepper for which we had to flag down our waiter for. This Is an Italian restaurant, we should not have to hunt down our waiter for friggin Parmesan cheese. The St. Peters Fish with strange green risotto tasted good and was filling, but the baked clams were just meh and my husband’s fra diavlo type seafood linguini dish was flavorful, but the portion was small. They also have the nerve to charge an extra $ 4 for fresh mozzarella appetizer on a slice of tomato & some basil(you will have to hunt down your waiter for the balsamic vinegar that goes in it). Here’s what killed it for me. We get the bill and discover that everything we ordered was priced as if it were not restaurant week, substantially higher. The wine was supposed to be $ 25 per bottle and each dinner was supposed to be $ 28.99. We bring it to the waiter’s attention and his first response was, «Sorry, that’s just how the prices are coming up in the computer». We look at him as if he’s joking. He then leaves with the bill to check with the manager. He then returns and says, «You’re absolutely right, they didn’t adjust the Restaurant Week prices in the computer yet because it’s the first day» but hands it back to us, not adjusted. Basically saying F you, you just have to deal with it. We felt that it was not really worth it to argue with the guy, but we just took the difference off his tip. Do the right thing, get rewarded. There are plenty of other amazing restaurants in RVC. Keep on swimming.

The only seemingly romantic restaurant in a half a mile radius. Perfect outdoor seating area, that is equally as cute as the interior of the restaurant. It is dimly lit without it exuding a speakeasy feel, so feel free to come here for a dinner with the in-laws as well. It’s run by Italians, so the food does not disappoint. There is a summer wine’s special going on! They have a variety of reds and whites that were priced at $ 25-$ 30 a bottle. This is cheap, considering their corkage fee was $ 30! Their calamari was more calamari than it was flour. The pieces were not some dinky piece of squid, which was very much appreciated. Thank you, Dodici. Their sole entrée was disappointing though. Very salty. I would not get this again. We also ordered their«Canelloni alla Emiliana» which is fancy Italian for Pasta stuffed with veal, chicken, spinach, ricotto cheese, and red sauce. Imagine a long slice of lasagna paper rolled into a 6-inch diameter cylinder, after being stuffed with a mix of ground up meats, cheese, and red sauce. There were two of these, plated, and served. It was good, but the entrée description definitely hyped it up for the poor fellow, who happened to be 6 feet tall and 180 pounds of muscle. He should have gotten the«linguini marechiara», a clam sauce pasta infused with lots of garlic and a bit of red sauce to add some color. It was all the rave for two different parties that were sitting in our vicinity. We also got the«pollo scarpariello» which is a huge entrée, on the flipside, big enough to share with two people. There are fist sized pieces of chicken, still on the bone aka TENDERANDJUICYASALLHELL, oven baked with an olive oil and garlic dressing, topped off with small pieces of sausages, long slices of red peppers, onions, and big chunks of potatoes. Their garlic cloves add the perfect touch to the dish. I’m a huge garlic person so I had every piece of garlic… I think they should have added a bit more sausages, because there were only 3 pieces of quarter-sized pieces in the whole dish. I thoroughly enjoyed this entrée to its very last bite. Their service is impeccable, btw. I will drop by again if I am back in Rockville Centre again. Thanks for the awesome dining experience, Dodici.

One of RVC’s best Italian restaurants. A warm sunny weekend seemed like a good time to visit. Like most of RVC restaurants, arrive early to avoid waits. I’ve been to Dodici many times. The food here is excellent and service is as well. Menu has brick oven pizzas, paninis, pasta and some intriguing entrees. I wish they offered more seafood dishes. On this visit I went with linguini marechiara which is basically clam sauce with shrimps with plenty of garlic and a dash of tomato sauce. Delicious. Prices are a bit steep but the cost is justified with such excellent food. A decaf cap after dinner and I’m left thinking why don’t I eat here more frequently?
