Nicks has always been my favorite food in town. Whenever I travel, when I’m driving home from the airport I call nicks to order food for pick up. I’ve been ordering their penne alla vodka for the past 12 years. the Josephine’s eggplant is my other go to meal, and the house salad is the only salad I want to eat for the rest of my life. Whenever friends visit me from out of state, this is always where I take them, and to be honest I dream about their bread sometimes when I’m away and feeling homesick.

This is me and my boyfriends go to spot. Great classic Italian to share. I like the«casual» aspect so there’s nothing about this restaurant that is too over the top — just good food!

My wife and I are regular visitors to Nick’s in Rockville Centre. It’s not your typical pizzeria — it’s a sit down restaurant, or takeout — no slices. Some of our favorites are spinach salad, seared scallops orecchiette rabe and sausage, and white pizza with broccoli and spinach. The bread and olive oil provided at the table is great too. And the bartender is the best.

Went last night and loved the lively atmosphere, ice cold Peroni at the bar and great food. Our server was friendly and knowledgable. Great Caesar salad, basil pasta rigatoni and light chicken parm!!! We will definitely go back!

Was 5 stars now 4 stars since they just raised prices and overcharge for pizza in a town where there are many other places to eat italian. However, food is delicious and may be the best pizza in RVC.

Nicks pizza has been a staple of my Fav RVC restaurants. Whether it’s the chicken parm which is large enough to feed a family of four or if you get the vodka sauce you will always leave satisfied. I go sometimes and share a pie with my friends. I love the old school brickoven thin crust pizza. I’m not a huge fan of the meatballs they put on it, seem kind of bland. All in all I love there pizza My favorite part of the meal is always the cannoli I get at the end. It has a hard shell that isn’t hard if that makes any sense. Normally I am deterred from cannolis because the shells are way to hard. However at nicks the shell crumbles right into the cannoli making it one of the best cannolis you will ever have. My one quip I always have is they don’t stock garlic powder. Seems weird to me cause I love garlic powder on my pizza.

Whether you order pizza, chicken parm, pasta or even one of the salads, you will leave here very satisfied. The only reason why I didn’t give five stars is because they don’t have garlic powder which I find very odd for an Italian restaurant that serves pizza.

There’s tons of Italian restaurants in the Massapequa area and we still trek to RVC for Nicks. — Try the house salad. The bitter arugula, sundried tomatoes and peppers are perfectly paired with a sweet and tangy house dressing that’s amazing! I can eat a family size portion myself — Mussels have always been fresh and without grit. Again, I can eat a family size myself — Love the thin crust pizza. It’s so much lighter than typical pizzerias and leave room to enjoy the other offerings — Entrees and pastas are all tasty and very reasonably priced — Finally, let’s talk weekend brunch. One food item and UNLIMITEDMIMOSASORBLOODYMARYSFOR $ 16 bucks??? That’s what I call a Sunday Funday!!! — Staff is attentive and laid back at the same time so service is relaxed and spot on — Minus 1 star because bathrooms have been dirty on nearly every visit

The chefs behind the counter at the view of patrons are doing the very best job in the ROCKVILLE centre village!!! Kudos to them I had the best comfort meal compared to the Italian cuisine I get to experience as a flight attendant traveling to Italy 5 or 6! times a month!!! This Is Italian cuisine at its very best! Thanks to the chefs!!!

I go here and have had great meals from really nice staff BUT I ordered take out for the first time and was not pleased., They barely sauced the pasta and meatballs were tough and dry. But here’s the real reason for one star: When I opened the bread all of the pieces under the top layer were turned over to conceal completely blackened, burnt inedible bread. How chintzy, how sneaky. You would” not serve that in your dining room, Nick! Basically, you gave me your garbage to throw out in my home rather than your kitchen. Shame on you!

This is a really solid eat-in Italian/Pizza place. It is kind of far for me for just casual Italian and pizza, but if I am ever in the area, I would definitely go back. While I am only rating a 3 star, if service was the only thing I was rating, it would be 5 star. In my opinion, the sign of a good table service restaurant is one where I never have to look up and search for my server. This place hit the mark. Kudos to my server Ashley. I never once had to find her. She hit all the marks! We started with the house salad. Both my hubby and I wanted one, so we both ordered one and Ashley promptly told us one was enough for both of us, and she was right. It wasn’t your typical dressing. Had a hint of sweetness which was nice. We decided to order a small pizza and a pasta and share. We got the half white/half red pizza and the gnocchi with tomato and basil. The white pizza was fantastic. It was perfectly cooked and crispy. Soooooo good. The gnocchi was clearly house made and the lightest gnocchi I have ever had. They were amazing. Here is my issue. I hate tomatoes, but I love sauce. For me, the tomato sauce lacked a little of the developed sauce flavor. However, if you like tomatoes, then this was the perfect tomato-ey fresh sauce. It was the same sauce on the red pizza, so that was a miss for me too. It was all a matter of preference however. I will just stay away from anything with a plain sauce in the future. The bread they gave at the beginning was good, but slightly oily. The atmosphere was really nice, and they had very reasonable pricing on both food and drink. We got a gift certificate to this place and that is why we tried it. I am glad we did.

My family and I come here all the time when we are craving brick oven pizza. It’s almost as good as the brick oven pizza in Italy. That’s really all we get when we go to Nick’s. The other night me and my mother split pasta, which wasn’t that great, and my brother and my father got their mussels which were okay. The food is just okay but their pizza is excellent! The staff is always friendly, and very attentive.

What happened to this place? Where did all the flavor go??? Went in to get lunch I ordered the spaghetti with broccoli. Tasted like I was eating styrofoam. Absolutely no flavor it was full of water because it wasn’t cooked properly in the pan. Last time for me here there are enough places around to get good pizza and better noodles

Not authentic Italian food but it is pretty damn good Italian-American food. The pizza is good, the chicken godzilla is good, the service is good. Add a salad and fettucine alfredo if you’re with a date or a few friends and you will leave very full and satisfied. Be warned: family style portions so act accordingly. Get half orders if you must. And be sure to finish it all off with a cannoli and/or tiramisu.

The seating system and wait time is enough to make even the most level headed people want to throw a hissy fit and blame his or her life’s problems on the maître-d. We were told multiple times that we were going to be the next people seated, only to see others be seated at what my party had deemed was our table. After our 15 minute breezy wait turned into a 45 minute rage fest, we were finally seated. And despite our claims that we would never return, the food was incredible and the waitress was awesome. Chicken francaise with asparagus was very moist and well-spiced. The pizza was excellently crispy. The eggplant parm was a little bland and cold, but still A-OK. House Salad had an amazing dressing. If you go, be prepared to be really assertive with the maître-d. Once you get past that iceberg, it’s all smooth sailing.

Goodbye Blue Moon. So long Grimaldi’s and farewell Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. This is the best pizza on Long Island. My fiancé and I had dinner here tonight and the food was great. The baked clams were delicious. We ordered a large half pepperoni. OMG. The pepperoni was so good. It had the perfect amount of spice to it. It was so good and the crust was amazing. It was perfectly charred. Not overly cooked like most places around here where you can only taste the black charred remnants of the crust. The basil added a nice flavor to it as well. The service was great. We will return.
