Ageless Advantages

A Groupon for laser hair removal persuaded me to give this place a shot, since it was cheap and nearby. I had six sessions on my Brazilian bikini area.
It wasn’t too difficult to schedule my first appointment, and then I just scheduled my next one after each appointment. I liked that they did a «test» laser before a full session, as well as a consultation with Dr. Charles explaining the lasering procedure and what it can/can’t do and risks. Both estheticians that worked on me were great (Claudia and sorry I forget the other woman’s name): friendly and totally put me at ease while lasering my who-​ha.
The lasering has definitely made a difference; I’ve had several sessions over the years, and I think for most people the hair will never be 100% gone, but with each few rounds it is noticeably thinner/​sparser. Ageless Advantages also offers a «touch up» price after your initial package, I don’t remember the cost but it was quite reasonable. I also got botox in my upper forehead here (my first time ever getting botox), and it worked out well.
For the price, this place is great.

Hair laser removal machine was so outdated that it hurt terribly. I cringe at the thought of my appointment. I have very high tolerant for pain. This was about a yr ago so they may have a different machine now. I went somewhere else who used a Lumineer (spelling?) and it didn’t hurt at all.

They use a terrible machine. Maybe they updated it. Never get the machine which glides over you with gel. It’s not for laser. Go somewhere where they use GentleLase Cool. Good luck getting in touch with anyone at the office. They cancelled my appointment twice and then never even called me so I showed up to a closed office twice. No one returns messages either. This was 2 years ago.

I went for Laser hair removal after getting a Groupon. It’s definitely like a clinic, not a spa. But after one treatment I’d say half the hair is gone in my underarms. I have two treatments more to go, and I think I won’t need more. The pain is okay, not terrible. If this works I’m happy to go in for more…

I have been totally satisfied with AA! This is not a spa but more of a medical office and personally that is what I would prefer since this is a «procedure» in my mind and medical help is always available if ever needed…
They have been awesome! Helped me get over my fear, really worked with what I needed. Doc advised me on pros and cons of things and timing of what to do and I am grateful for that…
Had experience at another larger laser center in N. Bethesda a few years back where they were simply not customer friendly, flexible, and well, I just didn’t want to go back. This place actually increased my interest to laser more areas! And let me tell you laser is not something I am jumping for joy to go to… :-) I want the results and love the technician, she is no nice and warm that it makes it all better!

Do not go here. I received a Groupon for a facial as a gift. It is a doctors office that is clearly just using a room to make some extra cash. It is not comfy or spa like in the least. The facialist blasted her music and did a very light Microdermabrasion. They had me sign all these forms like they were doing something grand. And then she put a mask on my face which took her about 20 minutes to apply and then she left the room for about a half an hour came back and took it off. My skin looks no different. Spend your money at a spa and get extractions, facial massage, or something else. This did nothing and was a waste of time.

Nothing exciting for this review so no title. But thats not a bad thing!
I had no problems, qualms, issues, hiccups or botheration (as we like to call it in jamaica).

I saw the groupon deal and for the price and amount of treatment times it is the best deal on the site. The only qualm is its far as heck but hey its only once a month.
I purchased my groupon same day I made an appt.
I got there had the consult the doctor came in to check on me and answer any questions and give me his speel. Then the estician (sp) came in and she was super sweet. Gave the laser a test run, It didnt even hurt. I am a woman of color and they explained there might be dark spots but as long as i stay out the sun Ill be alright.
Scheduled another appoint to have my first official session in a couple of days. and thats it. Nothing out of the ordinary. I didnt give them all the stars because its far and I only really had a consult no services. So its a little early to tell.

A little torn as to what rating to give it because CLAUDIA IS GREAT. I’ve had two laser hair removal treatments and she was wonderful both on the customer service and skills front.
But the rest of the staff, starting with Dr. David Charles, does not have the courtesy to greet clients or make eye contact. The front desk people act like you are really intruding upon them if you have questions. We are paying you MONEY to keep you EMPLOYED. What part of that do you not comprehend? Regardless of someone paying cash or using a Groupon, we have PAID.
I have not had any problems scheduling appointments or having my treatment on time. But the customer service is SO POOR.

Claudia did my laser treatment and she is wonderful. I was serviced right away and she is so professional and easy to talk to. I haven’t had any problems scheduling appointments and there seems to be plenty of staff at the front desk whenever I come in. Will definitely recommend her to others for laser treatments.

Please don’t buy the groupons– everyone in here is right — they schedule you then you have no appt — whoever Christina is doesn’t work there anymore so not sure if its a scam or what. I even got a call the day before confirming then showed up & they said I wasn’t in their system. Something really odd is going on here — please avoid — I wasted time & gas

Ageless advantages issued a groupon to bring in customers to their office.
When I called about their services a woman came on and said that I would be given a free 30 minute consult with the doctor who owns the practice and made it seem that this was routine. She strongly recommended the consult and booked me in.
I Took time off to come to the office as scheduled. There was an unwelcoming environment from the get-​go. The front desk receptionist was rude and unwelcoming. She was fixated on laser treatments and kept haranguing me over and over interrogating me to specify a laser treatment that I would be getting in a grab to sign me on. I explained I didn’t know what procedure would work for me-​thus, the consult. After trying to answer the same question ten or so times, she (the receptionist) took me back to a room under the pretext that the doctor would be in shortly. There, she had the office manager come back to lecture and bully me.
The office manager was an extremely rude and condescending employee with poor English and a distorted idea about her authority and importance! She was dressed very shabbily which was a negative advertisement for the Med-​spa in general. Also, She was in my face, telling me the doctor would not waste his time on me unless I committed to an expensive treatment prior to any consult. Obviously a loose cannon who is not supervised and treats customers with impunity,
She proceeded to bully me, interrupting constantly –taking me to task (for their staff having made the appointment as if I had responsibility over her subordinate). She really made a Federal Case out of the fact that I came for the consult to see the doctor even though I was misled. She kept me there, blocking the exam room door for ten minutes lecturing me in a raised, hostile voice.
There was no apology for my time having been wasted and brought in on a misleading premise. I presume the doctor would have been concerned about this conduct on the part of his office manager and wonder if the doctor knows his staff are driving away customers from his business with their hostility?
Even though services are out of pocket, the customer is not treated well or their business respected by these staff and I would never go back there. This is how they treat unsuspecting customers. I checked one star because I cannot post with zero stars for this place.

I have had nothing but an amazing experience at Ageless Advantages and with Christina in particular. I never had an issue scheduling my appointment or getting in touch with anyone. When I arrive for my appointment I may wait a total of 5 minutes before Christina is ready to start my treatment. The individuals working at Ageless Advantage are AMAZING and generous people. I was scarred (on my face) by a previous PLASTIC SURGEON (PS) that was suppose to be giving me an IPL facial. Needless to say the person used the wrong wavelength on the laser and permanently scarred my face that I had been working so hard to clear up and maintain. I was absolutely devastated and horrified. I was beyond embarrassed to be seen without my make-​up. Dr. Charles, at Ageless Advantages, was passing by my treatment room before my microderm facial and stopped in to ask me what happened to my forehead; I recounted the entire story to him and he explained how the technology worked and what the PS had done wrong in my case. He told Christina to do everything she could to help minimize the scar and Christina started me on a microdermasion régime.
When I left the office for the day, I received an at home treatment régime and I have now seen a great reduction in the appearance of my scar. And to top it all off Christina did this all for me without any crazy additional charges and they did not try to exploit my fragile feelings to make money. They were 100% genuine people that just wanted to help. I LOVE Ageless Advantage and will always be a customer!

I also bought a groupon online, made the appointment online, showed up for the appointment on time and the office was closed. No one has returned my phone calls. 3 messages left. I too will be seeking a refund.

Bought a groupon for this place and could never reach anyone on the telephone or via email to make an appointment. Groupon ended up contacting them and told me to wait & see if they contacted me. They never did. Lousy. In the end, Groupon ended up refunding me.

I made an appointment six weeks in advance for laser hair removal. After reading the Unilocal reviews, I decided to call in on the day of the appt to make sure they were still expecting me… aaaand they said they had no record of my appointment, so we had to reschedule for two weeks later.
When I arrived in their office, no one was at the front desk, so I sat in the waiting room. There were two staff members yelling back and forth to each other in the back. About 20 minutes later, one staff member came to the front and checked me in. She asked me why I hadn’t gone inside to apply the numbing cream yet. I told her I would have if somebody had been out front to tell me I could. So she showed me back, and I put the cream on. About 20 minutes later, she came in and began the laser procedure. Apparently the numbing cream needs some time to set in, and I guess 20 minutes was not long enough. The laser treatment was incredibly painful. I’ve had laser hair removal before, and it has never been this bad.
She seemed to do a thorough job, which is why I gave two stars, but I would not return here if I hadn’t gotten a Groupon laser treatment package. There are so many other places that do this procedure. Go somewhere that has their administrative stuff together.

I bought a Groupon for Ageless Advantage and tried to make a laser appointment. However I tried calling several times trying to reach an actual person that works there but I would always get an automated answering machine. I left a message but never recieved a return phone call. I would never do business with this place again. They are a horrible establishment that does not focus on customer service and their hours of operation are ridiculous because no one is ever there.
On a happy note, I called Groupon to request for a refund and they are in the process of making that happen within 7 – 10 business days.

I initially went to Ageless Advantages after purchasing a Groupon for to have my underarms lasered. I can honestly, say that I am glad I did! I have been to other places for laser hair removal, and Christina has been the most caring person during the process. Although it does hurt (you are killing hair follicles), she takes her time and lets you take a break if you need to. Christina has impressed me so much, that I am going to be starting the laser process on another body part soon and cannot wait!

I said I would report back on my 2^nd experience so here I am. First of all, when I went in for my appointment that Friday I found out that I got double booked. If I had came in maybe 5 mins earlier, I would have beat the other lady to get serviced first. Anyhow, I saw her walk in and I wondered why my person helping another customer right now? I sat there for 15 mins wondering and noone at the desk seems to care that I have been sitting there.
Finally, someone noticed my presence and asked who I am here to see. Then I was informed that I must have been double booked and asked if I want to wait and MAYBE they could fit me in later. That’s usually a no for me because I don’t want to end up getting a rushed service and I don’t want to be that person that messes up and push back everyone else’s appointments (even thought I’m not at fault here). So I told them I could come back another day. Annoyed but it is what it is, right? BUT, the kind woman told me that they would give me a free visit next time due to their mistake. wow! I’m a happy camper again.

I bought two groupons for Microdermabrasion and added on a chemical peel during my second Microderm. With the first Microderm I did not see any difference, so I was a bit disappointed. I saw on their website that real differences can be seen with a microderm and chemical peel, so I added on an additional chem peel for $ 50. Still no difference. In fact, my face appears to be breaking out after the chemical peel, so I feel like I totally wasted my money. Plus I didn’t like the doctor there. I felt like he was pressuring me to buy products and got too defensive when I was questioning his suggestion to stop buying MAC products. On a positive note, the technicians were really nice. Shout out to Wendy who was super thorough, kind and patient.

Dr. Charles and his staff are so warm and welcoming. I visited his office for a botox treatment and I was very nervous. My nerves were set to ease immediately with the soft touch and comforting of Dr. Charles assistant. The botox treatment was very quick and easy and I am thrilled with the result. My forehead lines and crows feet area are completely smooth! I know this is temporary and I am definitely coming back in six months for another botox treatment.
I also scheduled a fire and ice facial treatment that I cannot wait to try.
