My Child Care Program is neither a rigidly structured school nor is it a simple babysitting service. It is an attempt to provide interesting activities; a secure relationship with someone who can meet your child’s needs and enhance his/​her Social, Emotional, Physical and Intellectual Skills in a calm, familiar and comfortable home environment.

At my facility, children are exposed to various cultures in order to help them identify and appreciate social and cultural diversity.

History

Established in 1992.

Several years ago, I faced a challenge so many parents do — that of finding convenient and adequate care for my young daughter. After a while, I made the decision to remain at home as this seemed to be the option that was most beneficial to my child’s welfare at that time. I was available whenever she needed me, and I could provide informal care to the children of relatives and friends. This arrangement proved so satisfactory that I went on to receive formal training to become a licensed childcare provider.

That has been my vocation for the past 20 years, and it is a fulfilling and rewarding one.

Before becoming a Childcare Provider I taught Elementary and High School for several years. I also worked at an accounting firm in Germantown, MD. I am the mother of one adult daughter and a grandmother of three boys.
