We are the DC Metropolitan Area’s only design center that caters to both interior design professionals and retail customers. NEST offers premier luxury lines of furniture, textiles, accessories, custom carpets and lighting. In addition we are proud to provide our clients with Artisans at Nest, an exclusive group of hand-​selected local talent from faux finishers and custom cabinet makers to wall-​covering specialists and window treatment experts. This fabulous resource is entirely managed by our staff. Extra-​special at NEST is our Fine Art Gallery, displaying only original art from national, international and local artists.

History

Established in 2013.

Nest301 was born in 2013 thanks to the passion between two men — Mauro and Steve.

As an Italian native, Mauro grew up appreciating beautiful design – a love he’s carried with him throughout a successful business career in business development. He came to the U. S in 1989 to study business and finance, ultimately earning his MBA in international finance at the Thunderbird School of International Management. «I’ve always liked design. I think every Italian likes design. It’s so much part of our culture,» he says.

Steve has been an interior-​design professional for more than 25 years as owner of Yardstick Interiors, which provides custom window treatments, bedding, upholstery, and wall coverings directly to the consumer, as well as to commercial, government, and design-​trade clientele.

With the combined experiences between Mauro, Steve and the designers here at Nest301, we’ve been able to bring a custom luxury furniture store providing design service to the greater DMV area!
