Sun’s Carpet and Floors

Sun’s Carpet installed our carpet in 2012 for the stairs and the entire upper level of the house. Two years later, the carpet on the upper level began to lump up in every room, even in the one that doesn’t have a lot of foot traffic! I called John, the owner, regarding this issue. He said that next time his team is in my neighborhood, they could stop by the stretch it but it’d be at an hourly labor rate. I think it’s pretty reasonable to expect brand new carpets, installed professionally, to hold up a few years without lumps. I found it disappointing that not only did John not own up to his team’s faulty workmanship, but had the audacity to charge the customer to clean up their own act. Instead of wasting my time further reasoning with the business, I wanted to write this review so anyone thinking of getting their carpets installed can save time by looking elsewhere. For those customer who want to spent your money here, this is the best tip you will get. WORST CUSTOMER SERICE I HAVE EVER HAD!
A guy name John came to our apartment for estimate, first he was 1 hour and 45 mins late, he came to my apartment RUDE, and overstate amount of material I need. He told me that I need 830 sq of material. I went into my floor plan, his numbers were 140 sq more than the actual floor plan which is $ 600 of unexplained material I had to pay. He told me that if I don’t believe him, I should go to Home Depot!
I went back to the store the next day, Joe was at the store and spoke to John on speaker. John was speaking Chinese and had no idea I understands Chinese. He said I was a weird and strange customer! Zero star! Don’t waste your money here! I budged $ 3,500 for this job, I would NOT give it to a company that insults me!
