Jake’s Performance Hobbies specializes in radio controlled hobbies and the enthusiasts who enjoy them.

We strive to offer excellent customer service and support. We’re hobbyists ourselves, and understand how important your hobby is to you.

We offer a great selection of RC cars, trucks, rock crawlers, airplanes, helicopters, boats and even model rockets. All are offered at very competitive prices, shop locally and save!

Need parts? We have a large inventory of replacement parts on hand and special orders are welcome. We support brands like Traxxas, Team Losi, HPI, Axail, Parkzone, Hobbyzone, Pro-​Boats, E-​Flite, Blade, Align and many more.

We offer expert repair services, trouble shooting, engine tuning, Traxxas power up programs, and more. We’re here to help you keep your RC vehicles running smoothly, your airplanes and helicopters airworthy, and overall want you to enjoy your hobby experience.

History

Established in 1989.

Originally started in ’89 as RP Hobbies. Became Jake’s Performance Hobbies in 1995. Been going strong ever since.

Locally owned and operated, in business and involved with RC hobbies longer than any other hobby shop in Sonoma County.

Hands down one the best Hobby shops around Jake and the rest of the staff are great very knowledgeable and friendly, and professional great selection of parts and anything RC related. I recommend every one of my friends to this place. You won’t be disappointed!

I just got referred to these guys from a new Rc group I joined. Not knowing a lot about planes can be intimidating when you are trying to learn. All the guys took all the time I needed every time I went in to get me the stuff I really needed. I bought a battery that had an issue and the exchanged it without a hitch. I went online for the stuff I bought and it was the same price or cheaper. Don’t go here unless you are ready to get hooked!

Jake’s performance hobbies is the place to go for your rc needs! One of there employees «Everett» is very knowledgeable, professional and a great service representative all the way around. They have great prices that are comparable to online prices!
I bought most of my parts that are on my yeti and the yeti itself was purchased at Jake’s. They also have a shop to perform work on your RC’s for a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone.

Jake’s specializes in all things radio control.
Tons of parts, accessories, equipment, controllers and kits for cars, airplanes, racing, drones and every other conceivable rc thing. Including my great grandfathers favorite hobby from the 1940’s balsa wood kits.
Can’t speak for the other items but this is an excellent place for multi rotors. Can you find cheaper items elsewhere? Of course. I liked the better quality and the service and support with learning how to use the stuff and the best ways to get the absolute best use was more then worth the extra expense. Gave me tons of great advice and tips. Like with installing and calibrating the camera. Not the kind of things the novice user might consider. The spare batteries were likewise a great piece of advice. And the blade guards.
Seriously i would never have figured that thing out as quickly except for them.

I recently perched two lipo batteries. After only 2 charges one showed an error code 8. I called, Jake said come on down and I’ll see if I can balance it. Turns out 1 cell was bad. He just reached in the counter and gave me a new one just like that! It was by far the easiest return I have ever experienced in my life. Jake and his guys are the best! Shure you can get stuff off the internet a few dollars less, but you can’t get customer service like that! To me it’s worth it. I will always go to Jakes for my hobbies! Thanks again!

Jake is God in R/​C world.
He has forever shown second to none customer service and is a wealth of knowledge and tips. What I like most about this shop, is the consistency in its character. I can come back year after year, and it continues to be the same pleasant, ego-​free, authentic environment it’s been since day one.

Hands down, as good as it gets! The owner, the son, and the guy with the hat that rides the enduro. Tell them the truth, they will fix your car… don’t bullshitthem. There master mechanics of the r/​c world. Tons of in stock parts! And help that’s priceless! They want you car to run! Going there for years, since r/​c 10 came out! Going there Tom. tmaxx won’t start. They will figure it out in minutes…

From out of town and on vacation, stopped by when my son’s RC car broke. Found excellent customer service with knowledgable staff. We picked all the parts we needed and a few extra as the store was well stocked. They even told us about a local track which my son loved.

Great place! These guys have everything one could ask for in the way of RC cars, trucks and planes! They’ve even got boats!
Once you get over the fact that these are hobby grade products in this shop and NOT at all like the TOYS you’ll find at Radio Shack, you’ll truly see these guys are some of the best in the biz! If not the best…
If they don’t have it, keep in mind, they can probably order it for ya!

This place is great! The guys are super friendly. We went in looking for a $ 200 RC helicopter, and they talked my husband in to buying one for $ 40 more appropriate for his level of experience. How often do you get that kind of service? We’ve gone in since for spare parts since, and they are always very helpful (and for me, very patient!). Will continue to shop there and recommend them to anybody!

Went to see them after I heard so many of my friends rave about the store and the owners.
So I was in the market for some remote control toys for my son and found to be a kid in a candy store.
And I’m hooked ever since.
Jake and his wife Kat are the nicest people around.

passed Jake’s many times but never looked in. finally did. looked like they carry parts for all kinds of mechanical gizmos. was invited in by the friendly cashier/​owner? declined. was short on time.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I’m 30 and I used to live right around the corner and drool in the windows when I was around 10. Now I’m able to actually go inside and be a customer. Every single one of the employees are great including Jake the owner. They will spend as much time as they need to insure that you are happy and out the door running. I usually bring a few buddies and my toddler aged daughter with me and its always a good time. They never even trip on my little girl running around pulling things off the shelves!
