Established in 1985.

Michael J has been cutting hair in the South Bay for many years. His customers look to Michael J for great quality and incredible service. He delivers on these expectations every time.

Many of his loyal clients started with Mick at Michael J’s Hair Force or Michael J’s Appearance Salon in San Pedro, some started with Michael while he was working at South End Racquet Club or Michael J Salon in Torrance. Michael is now bringing his business home, to the Peninsula, opening his NEW salon in RHE.

Business Owner

Michael J has built his reputation by being one of the very best haircutters in the industry. Not only was he a past winner of the Long Beach Hair Show, the Pasadena Hair Show, and the Paris Ace Beauty World Spectacular, Michael was an Educator, for Redken to name one, and a Platform Artist for Hikari Scissors, traveling to Europe and Japan teaching classes. His collective knowledge and experiences give him a unique advantage in providing expert professional services. His goal is to maintain a long-​lasting relationship with his clients based on an exceptional haircut designed to meet his clients needs and exceeding their expectations.

On a personal note, Michael is a CA native enjoying golf, tennis, skiing, and surfing as often as he can. His interests also include gardening, music and playing guitar. Michael resides on the Peninsula with his wife where they raised two equally talented daughters.
