Excellent office. Sophia helped me today and she was thoughtful and professional as she competed my pre-​exam. They have state of the art equipment and compete a thorough exam. It’s true it always costs more than I’d like but that’s not because of the office. Eye glasses and contact lenses are expensive. Dr. Jim takes great care of my eyes and he’s funny, too. Very personable and concerned for his patients. Great doctor. Great office. Hector really helped me pick out excellent glasses in my price range.

My wife and I have been coming here for years. And now our daughter has her first checkup today. Staff is very friendly and professional as always. We also refer all our friends and family to this place.

They seemed more concerned with up selling and payments than services. Took forever too. Waited at least a half hour before seeing anyone. I don’t trust the glasses prescription they issued so am waiting until next year to get new glasses. Definitely will go somewhere else.

They are both not only very passionate about their profession, they are also very committed to providing the best care to their patients. They’ll take the time to explain the results from your exam and will work with you to come up with the best treatment for your personal situation. The office staff are very courteous and professional. A trip to their office feels more like a visit than an appointment. We took our 7 yr old for an overdue check up. Very pleasant office, great staff and latest equipment. Our son loved the office and Dr Terry and was super excited to choose his first glasses. Unlike with some other pediatric opthamologists in South Bay it was easy to make an appointment. Highly recommended!

I have been beyond afraid of wearing contacts but was getting sick of always wearing my glasses. Dr. K was super comforting and addressed all of my hesitations and made sure to walk me through all the basics!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Jim for a number years, and I’m SO grateful to have such a talented eye doctor. At times I deal with debilitating eye strain, and Dr. Jim understands the nuances of my eye issues better than any doctor I’ve seen. He’s very perceptive in his ability to diagnose and treat problems, and I wouldn’t trust my eyes to anyone else. If you want high-​quality care, this is the place to go.

Awesome place. Everyone is friendly and is smiling. They have state of the art equipment which makes things easy. Dr. J Hawley was warm and friendly. Explained everything in detail and answered any questions that I had. I never felt rushed or that he had a lack of interest in my care. He makes the whole ‘which is better 1 or 2″ part of the exam quick and much better than any exam I’ve ever had. Fees were much more reasonable than other places (think of glasses in one hour).

Our whole family are patients here and have had excellent service. Dr. Tiffany Liu is very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. My kids actually like going to their eye exams because of this office because of the wonderful welcoming atmosphere and all the staff are so attentive, happy and easy to work with.

The doctors are pretty thorough and takes the time to listen and asks questions. However, expect to pay LOTS for out of pocket expense for the exam even with insurance. Best to ask for an estimate of out of pocket expense before committing. They do have up to date equipment but they also have add on fees if the patient wants them to use the newer equipment. They have some newer staff members/​Optician that can mess up with your billing so pay attention. For the price paid, I expect them to at least label my contact lens supplies for left or right eye but they just hand over the boxes and it’s not even in a bag. It was the most expensive optometrist office I’ve ever been to. 4 to 5 stars for doctors care and 2 stars for value.

Dr. Hawley and his staff are true professionals. Even though it is only an annual visit, they are thorough, courteous and very knowlegeable! They have a good selection of glasses should you need them and know how to fit you for them and choose a frame that is timeless. The have state of the art equipment and give you multiple options for treatment instead of pushing one option. It’s refreshing to see that there are doctors that care about your needs and not what benefits their wallet!

I had my annual exam this afternoon and was reminded why I return to see Dr. Jim Hawley each year. His office keeps up with latest technology (another new machine was used this visit) and Dr. Hawley is one of those individuals who’s presence is just plain calming. That’s important to me as my blood pressure increases dramatically as I approach any doctors office. Both Dr. Hawley and his staff also speak in every day language (vs. doc jargon) and are easy to relate to. I won’t go so far as to say I look forward to any exam but visits to Dr. Hawley’s office are by far my personal least dreaded ;)
I would recommend Dr. Hawley to anyone new to the area or looking to migrate to a better ophthalmologist.

I recently moved to LA and needed an experienced Optometrist to review my rare retina disease.
