Punctual, courteous, efficient, thorough and affordable. I don’t know what else you could be looking for in a heating and cooling service. Definitely will be using North Park for all my future HVAC needs.
Adam showed up early, had the knowledge and then ability to quickly diagnose our problem and get our heat back up and running. All pricing was up front and transparent. Thanks again guys.

My condo AC crashed and I was referred to North Park Heating & Cooling by our property manager. I must say that was the best referral in a long time. They called back first thing in the morning and had same day availability.
The technician was quick to assess the issue, explain how he could fix it and what may be the lingering issue/​bigger repair. I was lucky it was just a fuse issue and the technician fixed the a/​c in 30 minutes. The pricing for HVAC was reasonable and I learned a lot from him as how to make sure we don’t blow the fuse again.
In an industry where consumers look for skill and integrity, North Park Heating & Cooling hits the mark on both. I hope I don’t need them again, but if I do, they’re my first call.

We had 3 quotes from various local companies to install air conditioning in our 105 year old house. Derek was by far the best at clearly presenting our options, taking the time to offer solutions including accommodating where we wanted to place the condenser unit. He gave us a fixed price on the spot (ie it wasn’t going to go up when they found some issue) and left us with information on the Mitsubishi products they work with. The Mitsubishi units have a dual purpose and also provides heat in the fall/​winter. Additionally the fact that they offer 0% financing through Wells Fargo with a decision immediately really helped. They were also the only company that covered the refrigeration lines with pvc covers on the side of the house.
I was really impressed with Derek’s attention to detail and willingness to meet with us in the evening to discuss options. As promised, the job was quickly (2.5 days) done with minimal mess, he was easy to communicate with, was competitively priced and we now have a temperature controlled house, rather than a noisy window/​wall unit that sounds like a jet engine and fluctuating temperatures!

We were looking for an AC solution for our 1920s brick bungalow. North Park was recommended by a coworker, so we gave them a call. We assumed he would present a Space Pack system since that is the «usual» solution, but Derek came in with a Mitsubishi plan. We knew nothing about it, but the price was good and it seemed to make sense, so we took a leap of faith. Well, North Park promised everything and delivered completely. The great thing is, it was completely painless. The installation took 2 days. The house was tidy when they left. The best part is, the final bill was less than originally quoted. Less! Great family business! Highly recommend!!!
PS — I was putting furniture back in place today and saw that Derek had repaired a 5 year old gaping hole in our wall … nowhere near where they were working. Wow!

I was referred to North Park through a business associate. An estimate was done by Derek, and after countless calls and emails to complete the job that have not been returned, we have to move on to another HVAC contractor. It’s been three weeks we have tried to get them to call us back.

I can only say wonderful things about North Park! I am so glad we found them. I am a new home owner and needed a new furnace and central air. North Park came in below everyone and with financing available that is so affordable I cannot believe it. While getting ready to move into our new house, the furnace at the old place was giving us a problem. Derek came right over & fixed it the same day I called. You will not be disappointed using North Park! Thank you for the Great Service!!!

A NO SHOW!!! I had an scheduled appt this morning at 8 a.m. I called at 9:20 a.m. when they were a no show. The woman on phone saw my appt, but not sure what happened to the technician. I thought someone would call me back to apologize, but nothing.

I must gravitate unknowingly (or knowingly!) to Polish-​American business, but both times I sure am glad I did! We first called North Park on a recommendation from a friend back in October when my father-in-law’s hot water stopped working. I was in a slight panic because I was the only one in the house at the time (who else’s fault could it be?!) and Derek came by that afternoon to take a look (thank God!). It took him all of two minutes to fix it and explain to me what happened. That was very nice, though I really just nodded and smiled.
I didn’t think much of the company until we moved into our new house this past December and had my own water heater act up several times– several times during the Polar Vortex– not exactly great timing! Four days in a row it acted up with my husband «fixing» it nightly. We ran some photos and possibilities past a family friend who told us to buy a thermocoupler (?). We did and then we called Derek.
Derek came by, took a look, and let us know we did NOT need a thermocouple at that time and that if we did, it couldn’t be the generic try-​and-​fit-​all piece that we had. He was there for a good forty-​five minutes (despite fixing our water heater quickly), explaining to my husband the layman’s term of our heater.
All in all, we couldn’t have been more grateful or impressed with both his timeliness and honesty. Esp in an area we are so unsure of what is going on! I hope we either continue to get Derek when we need something or that North Park churns them all out like that. I’m just glad I found a company I can turn to time and again, now that I have a house!

North Park to the rescue! We had our furnace go out in the deep freeze during the first week in January. Had our call returned promptly and had a technician out within the hour! It was a really easy fix and the heat was back! Very reasonable rate for the emergency.

I called in a panic when my furnace was not working it was 9:30pm. Thank god the weather is just breaking from record cold in Chicago wind chills are only –4. Derek was awesome! He found the problem IMMEDIATELY, it was the intake pipe had snow in it. He took pictures to explain the problem to me and cleared out as much as he could at 10pm. He fixed the furnace!!! He explained how I could prevent this in the future. ALL I CAN SAY HE IS AWESOME!!! Derek is my heating guy FOREVER! Trust me call Derek FIRST!!! Honest, reliable and prompt!

Great turn around time. Came within an hour of calling and fixed the furnace within minutes. Would definitely use again!

Okay, I’m going to start this by saying this is my very FIRST posting on Unilocal!I felt compelled to write about my recent experience with North Park HVAC because I have had very poor experiences in the past. For the first time, I was pleasantly surprised with the result and customer service. Derek was very professional over the phone and worked with my availability. Since I work the nightshift and have a bizarre sleep schedule, it wasn’t the easiest to find a day and time to get serviced. I am a complete neat freak, especially with strangers coming into my place, with white carpet and all… I really appreciated that he put on shoe covers at the entrance. Honestly, I couldn’t believe he has so many negative reviews. What’s going on here?
Anyway, I had no problems and the my heat is working great! Great experience!

I moved to Chicago 4 years ago. When I happened across Derek and North Park I have to say, I was just so pleased with them. Let’s just say I have had my share of bad experiences with services from everything from painters, electricians, deck work. First of all, Derek has always shown up when appointments are set, sometimes earlier. There have been many items that have cropped up that other venders would totally take advantage and advise the more expensive solution. Never with Northpark. We even had an issue with our air conditioning units. We were considering getting new ones, Derek told us nothing was wrong with them. Seriously, there are people out there that would have taken that bait and made a killing. I even call Derek for referrals for other items North Park doesn’t cover… electricians, plumbers, sheet rock, etc. When I see the other reviews here I am honestly confused. North Park has been nothing if not professional, dependable and quite frankly very reasonable. Every spring and winter North Park comes out and everything is taken care of. No surprises. I recommend them to everyone and I don’t do that for anyone but my hairdresser.
Feel safe, comfortable and relax. North Park is the way to go. First class from start to finish.

I recently purchased a new home in downers grove. Prior to this home I have a condo in chicago and used North Park. I wanted to make sure that my heating unit was working properly before the winter months. I had them come out and check on everything to make sure I would be fine during the winter. There service guy came out and cleaned my furnace. he said that everything looked good, nothing to worry about this winter. He did find some water on my floor near my sink. He pointed this out to me… thankfully he did, my washer was leaking and I didn’t know it. I had that problem fixed before it became a bigger issue. I would recommend this company to all my family and friends.

Tankless water heater installed incorrectly. Called owner Derek to have corrected and multiple messages were not returned. The concern was eventually reponded to and the issue fixed at the business’ expense.

A lady I work with had these guys come work at her house and was happy, so I asked for the number. No complaints at all. They were nice guys and cleaned up my boiler really well. They cleaned up everything after the job which is a pet peeve of mine. Just wish I saw the Unilocal cash offer first. i’ll have them back again for my yearly servicing for sure.

½ Just my luck — Sunday, before the holiday my hot water heater started leaking. Association would not do anything, I was told «there’s no maintenance on holiday weekend».
I called North Park HVAC and hoped they can come Tuesday but to my surprise they were willing to come on Memorial Day! Super accommodating and professional! Hot water heater is fixed and I wasn’t even charged for their overtime!
Highly recommended!
²⁄₂ Just have to add — again North Park did not disappoint. Came out again within few hours of my call, this time we had no heat. It ended up being a simple thing but they did’t mind traveling all the way to NW suburbs.

I wish this review was for actual work performed but we never made it that far. Called multiple times to schedule an appointment and left three voice messages but never received a call back. Look elsewhere.

I spoke with Derek, who quickly visited my condo and seemed to have identified the problem with my HVAC system — before disappearing and failing to return a single phone call for the past three weeks. The one time he did answer during that period, he sounded upset to have to tell me his diagnosis and he said he was inquiring about the needed part. I waited a week before trying again and waited a couple of days for a response — from then on, I called every couple of days. Not a single call was returned.
I even asked the building manager at my condo to make an inquiry. Her call also was not returned.

A few weeks ago, during the major snow storm, my furnace decided to give out. I was referred to North Park Heating And Cooling by a friend the day it stopped working.
I contacted Derek, from North Park, and told him about my furnace. Derek came out the same day and gave me a great estimate.
My new furnace was installed promptly the next day and now works great!
I have since used North Park Heating and Cooling for the installation of a new water heater…
