Alexis Salon Spa

Just moved to the area. Decided to choose this place. Made an appointment with Lulu. She did an awesome job on my hair! Just came in for a simple haircut with some layers and I love it! The place has kind of an old-​timey feel. And a little pricey, but she did a good job and was nice so I’m happy!

I was pleasantly impressed with this salon. I needed a hair cut and my (former) usual salon couldn’t fit me in. Lulu was fabulous! She managed to decipher exactly what I wanted through my sketchy description of «the back is too long and shape the front». She spent quite a bit of time making sure each hair was exactly right. I am thrilled with my cut! I will definitely be back again!

I’m new to the area and my hair stylist is in the city. So I’m looking for a new one. Call me old fashion but you make first impression and first point of contact. I called this place asking questions about their stylist. Years of experience, availability, etc…, the lady who answered the phone at first was pleasant but as soon as I started asking question she rudely turned and said «do you want a haircut or information» I was taken back by such horrible responds. So I kindly said I want both. I don’t know you and I wanted to understand a little about your salon. I don’t trust my hair to just anyone. Then I proceeded to say forget it. I’ll take my business elsewhere and she hung up on me. So I don’t know about the services they provide but if they treat people over the phone like this I would not go here at all.

First let me say that I am a guy that moved to Chicagoland 4 ½ years ago. Yesterday I went to this salon for the first time as I was seeking a new person to cut my hair. I can honestly say that I received the best haircut I’ve had since moving to the area. Elida was my stylist. She took her time and exercised great skill, care and detail in her work. I was so impressed that I made my 2^nd appointment before I left from my first appointment! Nice Job!!!

The day that I made a visit to this salon I was having a crisis!!! I was looking good, and had seen my regular stylist two hours before. I had my hair flat ironed, and slipped in my bath tub and my hair was now Curly as all get out! My natural hair is thick and curly like that foot ball player Troy Polomau which I happen to love my curly hair, but tonight I was meeting someone I adore (Britney Spears) and I wanted to look like absolute perfection! Anyhow my stylist was no longer in her shop, and out shopping. I asked her if she could return and flat iron my hair again. My regular stylist told me she could, but it would be a couple of hours until she could get to it. I just didn’t have that time and I was near this Alexis salon spa. I walked in and told the receptionist about my trouble, and she had me seated, and in a matter of minutes I was all smoothed out again! I was glad there was someone there that could handle my hair– lots of people get INTIMIDATED and think they cant do it.
This salon rocks!
My night was very nice. Britney actually commented on my hair looking good! Nicki Minaj asked me she could make a wig out of it! #Winning My Unilocal profile pic is Nicki Minaj and I right after she played with my hair! Great Night

Stop in based on 1 review on Unilocal,and it was the best. Rosa was very attentive to what I wanted her to do with my hair. She made sure I was on with the length prior to cutting. Rosa was very friendly and took her time, making sure all the layers and framing was even. I was very impressed with the salon and the personal attention by Rosa. For $ 25 dollars for a haircut, I will definitely be returning to see Rosa again!

I went to Alexis Salon Spa today. I just randomly picked this place to get a haircut. Rosaria cut my hair, and she did a fantastic job! I was very impressed. She was very friendly, particular, and took her time with me. She even checked my haircut at the end to make sure every hair was in place. The haircut was $ 30, which was very fair. I will be going back to Rosaria for sure! This salon also does waxing, nails and facials.
