Clean As A Whisker

Just called to bring my dog there as a first time customer. I was excited after seeing all the positive reviews and great photos! The man who answered was rude and very short with me. Besides the fact that they charge $ 58+ tax in Ronkonkoma for a 9lb dog is very expensive compared to my last groomer (who was fantastic and unfortunately left my vet), when I asked him if they kept the dog for the day he was even more rude. I am single with a dog who is DEAF and I was able to drop him off for the day and pick him up after work with my previous groomer. I don’t think that question is out of line. I understand if they don’t do that but how he answered was just rude and a complete turn off. If you’re busy and cranky– don’t pick up the phone. They lost a potential new customer, unfortunately. I was willing to pay the high rate for a great groom and kind people. I would never leave my deaf rescue in this guys hands given his attitude, I’d be afraid he’d snip my dog!

Took me 2 months to decide where to bring my 7 month old Morkie puppy for first grooming experience. SO glad I chose Clean as a Whisker. Starting with my initial phone call the gentleman on the phone was extremely helpful and courteous. When I arrived for Jax grooming appointment I was met at the door by a friendly and professional groomer who took the time to say hello to my puppy and talk with me about his first trimming/​grooming experience. When I arrived back to pick up Jax he was calm, happy and BEAUTIFUL! Highly recommend Clean As A Whisker!!!

Today was my four month old miniature schnauzer first grooming appointment. I was extremely nervous even with all the researching I did because it’s very easy to mess up a miniature schnauzers classic look. But, I can not even express how AMAZING «clean as a whiskers» is. Extremely friendly staff, absolutely adored Nicole & Steven. I would also like to mention how incredibly fast they are. He was only there for a little over an hour when they called. When we got their I was blown away with the result. Not only did Rocky (our puppy) look amazing but every other dog they had did as well. Another positive feedback I can provide is that they are very affordable. We only paid an estimate of $ 64 for his haircut which saved us some room to shop around there retail area. They have adorable outfits, treats, etc. for all pets. Definitely can’t wait to bring Rocky (our puppy) back for his next grooming appointment. So with that being said I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if your searching for the perfect groomers. Look no further this is your spot.

My dog has a long thick coat. I cannot manage it alone. When I moved to the area I tried every groomer. This place is really great! The staff are friendly and my dog always comes out looking and smelling wonderful. He walks in with ease. He’s usually done in 2 hours, which is great for me and him. My only complaint is for a bath and shave I pay 110 $ but trying other places I have found its worth it. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is for price I pay.

Clean as a Wisker has great staff that takes great care of our Wheaton terrier. They are personable and treat our puppy with compassion. We have used them for almost 6 years after using local groomers who never delivered a quality hair cut or at home services that were not reliable. My family is always happy when our dog comes home well groomed.

Clean as a whisker is a friendly and great groomer. Our dog Sugarbear loves the girls and they love him. He is alway happy when we bring him in and never had a bad experience. He gets treated just as well as we treat him at home. I would highly recommend this groomer to anyone.

This place is really fantastic. I’ve been taking our cockapoo here for grooming for over a year and we have never been disappointed. Appointments are fast and easy. Our dog LOVES going here. When she gets out of the car she can’t wait to go in. I had a question about something recently and they had me bring her in right away with no questions asked. I’ve had conversations with the owners as well as with other staff and everyone has been kind and caring. The facility is very clean and safe. I couldn’t be happier.

They were super friendly. My dog is terrified to have anyone touch, bathe, cut her nails. They met me at the door and even offered to help me with her (I had two babies with me) they were quick. And sent her home with a cute bandana. I only gave 4 stars because they were expensive, and they were unable to cut her front paws– Albright they did do the right thing and not charge me for the full amount because they were unable to complete the job.

Took my miniature schnauzer in today. He usually gets jumpy when he goes for grooming at PETsMART and Petco but when we took him today he instantly connected with the guy behind the counter. Left him came back and my little Webster looked handsome! When we were leaving he saw his groomer and jumped to her and gave her kisses (which he never did that with his past groomers), this just goes to show that they treated him with love. This is my first time here and left impressed, me and Webster will be back!!!

Horrible experience here. I called two weeks prior to my puppy’s appointment so he could be ready for Christmas. when i called to make the appt. I explained what kind of dog he was, this was going to be his first real haircut (he’s been trimmed in the past), and what I was expecting from the appointment. I asked questions about using scissors etc.
I get there and as soon as the owner saw my pup he said «we’d have to shave him.»
I asked why and he said «because I can’t get a comb through there» I asked for the comb and it went right through his hair, he is brushed and combed daily. He then said there are three other groomers in the area use them
so long story short this guy was too lazy or inexperienced to actually groom my puppy. I told them exactly what kind of dog he was and what I was expecting.
He left me high and dry two days before chirstmas. So unprofessional! Hideous treatment!

We have been bringing Molly here for years. The staff Is very friendly & does excellent work. My dog is a nervous Nellie and always comes home happy.

My dog rolled himself in ‘poop’…I needed help IMMEDIATELY… They were great. Took him right in. Were so helpful and friendly. They really did make him ‘Clean as a Whisker’. But now we have renamed the dog… Stinky.

This is the best grooming establishemt by far! They really care about your pet. The staff is warm and friendly and they do and excellent job. My little dog loves going there and getting to flirt with all the girls :) I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

the folks at clean as a whisker truly take pride in what they do. they care about your animal and have always given great cuts to my cat and dog. we’ve been customers for about five years and refuse to go anywhere else. the owner is very personable and will show you how to properly comb your pet at home. i appreciated he took the time to explain how to do it right. they’re the best!

The best haircut my 2 terriers have ever received! We have taken these dogs to a couple of very highly rated places in Brooklyn and Chicago, but these haircuts are by far and away the best cuts I have seen. We have two terriers – a Scottish terrier and a Cairn terrier, who can be a handful, even for us, who are pretty used to their antics. The Cairn has never let anyone, including his vet, cut his toenails before (he is 5.5 years old). His vet would have to hold him down with an assistant to cut his nails and actually told us that we would probably have to start giving him tranquilizers to get his nails done in the future. Well, they got his toenails cut, and actually told us that he wasn’t that bad! The Scottie looks particularly dashing, with these terrific little ear tufts that he’s never had before. We will be back – our dogs have found their new grooming home! The owner is also very, very friendly and they listened really closely to what he wanted when we brought the dogs in. We are so glad that we found them.
