Courtyard Long Island MacArthur Airport

This morning there were protesters from Verizon making noise in the parking lot with horns and whistles. It woke me up at 5:30am! Hotel staff should be about to control this somehow and did nothing.

The staff here are super friendly. I’m currently staying on the «quiet side» of the 6^th floor. When I arrived in the late evening, I did hear some airport noise, but nothing that bothered me. The hallway smelled of pot even though the hotel is clearly marked as a smoke free hotel.
The pool and exercise facilities were very top notch. The gym is not a large room (approximately 20′ x 45′ room). I came here for business and I would stay here again.

I stayed at the Courtyard in November 2015 during my wedding. Everyone was so nice from start to finish, they seemed like experts as far as hosting groups for weddings and events. I ended up getting a room block that was put together by Group Sales Manager Jackie Albanese. She was about the business but still friendly; she asked me what I needed and executed. Contracts were drawn up and all I’s were dotted and T’s were crossed. And she was helpful down to the day that my room blocked started; I was having an issue with some rooms outside of my room block (I mainly just wanted to ensure all my guest got a welcome bag) and I gave the front desk Jackie’s name. They spoke with Ms. Albanese and made sure that even though some guests weren’t booked in my room block that they were still associated with my group and were able to get a welcome bag.
Given that our wedding was in Long Island, it may seem like a small thing, but we felt the welcome bag was a necessity because quite a few of our guests traveled a good distance to be there. And we’re so grateful that the staff was able to hand them out to our guests. I had a great time at the hotel, my guests loved the service, the space, the lounge in the lobby and the pool! Also my vendors, such as my photographers, florist, and make up team had no issue getting access to me, except for one of the guests that tried to kidnap my make-​up artist. I will definitely be back for a visit.
My suite was huge, the room was clean and the size of the living room area was a great help; Even though I wasn’t on a high floor I was still near the elevator which helped during go time!
Lastly, the early check in was a definite plus!

My stay at this Marriott was quite nice. I came with the Wantagh Fire Department as their Installation dinner was at Villa Lombardi’s.
The rooms were cozy and warm which made all the difference on a day where the temperature teetered between negative and positive. In only a few short moments walking into the room, I was instantly comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy.
Ironically, the fire alarm went off at 10am — thankfully, not due to a fire (causes unknown). We were luckily awake and had already packed up and got our coffee downstairs.
The hotel is right next to a Smokey Bones Bar & Grill. Extremely convenient and the service there has always been great (all 3 times I’ve visited — both during the daytime and nighttime).
I would confidently recommend this Marriott!

I stayed here for 5 nights on a business trip and overall it was a really great experience. The staff was very nice and helpful, they even remembered my name and certain interactions I had with them. The housekeeping staff was great, gave me fresh towels every day, and even organized my shoes that I left out! There is a 24 hour Starbucks in the lobby, plenty of parking and the internet worked great!
My only complaint is that there was a few issues with my bill. When I checked in I explained that my boss was coming the next day to transfer the charges onto a company card. They told me they would only hold one night on my personal card until I transferred the charges the next day-​great! But they next day I realized that they actually held and extra $ 200 on my personal card too and it would not clear until I check out. My bill also had a mistake on it and I had to wait 15 minutes to get it taken care of upon checking out.
Minor issues that were resolved with a smile from Marriott staff– but could have easily been avoided. Overall a great experience I would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Great service in the heart of Ronkonkoma. The Courtyard is the best place to stay in this area.
CJ is awesome, waling distance to LIRR.

CAUTION: This is only a day 1 review. So my girlfriend and I get to the hotel and there is some issue with the credit card system causing her card to decline. We called the card company and all funds were available so the hotel ran the card and it went through the second time.
Then we get to the room after an 8 hour drive planning to take a nap before we go back out. Half hour into our nap a fire alarm goes off waking us up. An announcement goes over the loud system saying there is a fire please vacate. We rush out of our room as do other guest only to be told by a housekeeper that they are only testing a sprinkler on the roof.
Such a bad experience so far.

This hotel was surprisingly clean… but here goes
Pros: thank the good Lord for laundry facility on site! That is a convenience that i love in hotels. Saves me from going to the laundromat and mingling with some of the welfare Barbies that sometimes go there.
Rooms are clean, staff remembered my name (although like one of the previous posters, I happen to lock myself out and or have my cards mysteriously demagnetized way too often, so that’s probably why they remembered me).
Adequate parking! I can actually park my car with no trouble, neither because of lack of parking nor because the spaces are too small.
If you choose not to have room service (which I don’t, my room is not a free market) the maids leave a cute bag of towels and such hanging from your doorknob.
Cons:
There is a party here every night! And they can’t seem to keep it down! I heard the 7^th floor party all the way down on my 3^rd floor! I mean, really? Some of us are here to work, not give our liver and ears a run for their money. Not only that, but the rooms as well. My last night here and there must’ve been a party in half the rooms on my floor (although I’m pretty sure one was blasting their music to mask other noises, which wasn’t working. I hope they used protection).
My air conditioning unit started rattling. Very loudly. Except when they called maintenance, of course it stopped rattling the minute the dude walked in. A few days of quiet, then the skeleton who lives in the air conditioning unit started getting jiggy with it again. Good thing he didn’t hear the maintenance dude come in, because they sure fixed his sorry butt real quick. Didn’t have a problem again with Mr. Rattles, but I’m left to wonder why they didn’t take a look the first time around so to prevent another phone call while I’m sleeping and being rudely awoken with loud noises.
And my last con deals with asking for directions to a staple in NYC, the great Chinatown.
You would figure working in the hospitality industry one might now the basics to help tourists out, such as where to get the train (a staple in this state) and how to get to typical places, such as Ms. Liberty, Chinatown, etc. I might as well have asked for directions to Sri Lanka, he would probably have been more helpful with that. Or asked for the mailing address of the ruler of Zimbabwe. I find it a bit asinine the gentleman wasn’t able to point me in a good direction for something practically in his backyard. O well.
All in all though a good stay. Can’t say the same for the island though. Nothing to do and overall rude inhabitants. Needs to go the way of Atlantis, but that’s just me.

I rarely say this… I love my experience here! I have only been here for 2 hours. I have seen my wonderful room. I am at the restaurant enjoying the food. And even trying a beer I have never had before. Thank you, to everyone from cleaning lady/​man, front desk, waitress/​bar lady, and cook!
100% would stay here again!

Nasty storm and my travel plans went awry. I spoke with Debbie (Day 1) and then Angela (Day 2) when my trip kept getting delayed. What wonderful, professional and understanding service from this Hotel it’s no wonder it’s my Company’s preferred choice!!! Thank you Courtyard for considering and choosing my safety (I just relocated from Los Angeles) over charging for my unused room. Highly recommend this hotel for their A+ customer service. Friendly and helpful staff. Room is very affordable, clean and comfortable.
There were a few discourteous people in the hallway earlier in the night but not the fault of the hotel.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott for two nights while visiting family. Beautiful rooms and lobby. we enjoyed the little fitness center and the hot tub. The only disappointments were the TV reception and the fact that breakfast isn’t included.

Nice courtyard Marriot near MacArthur airport. We stayed here for a wedding. Rooms were well kept and clean. Front desk was well organized and courteous. Small store by front desk has beer and wine. Bar is more of a lunch counter style setup than a bar, but staff was good. Parking is more than adequate. Elevators are small and a bit slow.

Had a family wedding this past weekend and decided to stay here instead of making the trip back and forth to queens all weekend.
Should have just made the trip what a disaster of a stay.
These 2 stars are for cleanliness and wifi, that’s it.
First night we had to switch rooms because the room next to use was having a hotel room party and smoking in the room amongst other things. Staff was very apologetic on moving us. I’m a smoker… I went outside. Its a non smoking hotel. They even had a smoking pavilion.
Second night the same thing all over again…3 floors above from where we originally started. Went down again to complain, they didn’t do a thing. The woman at the front desks response was oh yeah we have had multiple complaints tonight about it. Seriously? Plan on doing anything about it? Maybe doing anything for us since this is our second complaint? Nope
I’m sorry when I think Marriot (any versions) I think of high end hotel stays. Not this. Yes we were all young and did silly things such as hotel parties… but in my day… you went to a cheap motel or hourly place that took cash. Not a Marriot
Now I heard complimentary breakfast when we checked, my boyfriend didn’t. Maybe I was wrong. There was no complimentary breakfast. Instead overpriced breakfast options. $ 21 for french toast and a sausage egg and cheese plate.
Just really disappointed in this stay.

Great hotel, physically (clean, modern, service). Warning: Guido wedding central. Car alarms in the middle of the night.

Clean rooms, new lobby, free wifi. A great place to spend the night.

Very nice rooms and quiet. Rooms are much larger than a typical Courtyard. You can walk to two chain restaurants right next door which is convenient. This is a perfect business hotel when in the area.

This friendly and welcoming hotel has the unexpected extra benefit of serving some of the best food in the area. Having breakfast here is a must and the steak I enjoyed at dinner was equal to that of the finest steak house.

This is a nice hotel. Has everything you need, including a Starbucks. The fresh food at the Starbucks was really weak, however, causing me to think that they just serve the coffee and not all of the Starbucks brand stuff.
The workout room is small but serviceable. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms do not smell like feet. My only issue here was that people behind the desk would curiously disappear at times. I don’t know what they were doing, but they need a bell or something for idiots like me who lose their keycards twice and lock themselves out of the room.

The lobby is very clean and inviting. The staff is always there to greet you. I was there for an event and the food was great!
