Trust… not a common word in the auto industry but Mike and team take it to another level. No hesitation when they suggest service or updates to my trucks as they are always spot on. They do a great job understanding their customers expectations and making sure they know the customers financial situation as well. Don’t go anywhere else, you’ll be sorry if you do.

We have been using them for over 10 years. They are honest, which is number one when you’re in need of a good mechanic. Their prices are always fair. As a woman, I never feel intimidated or taken advantage of when I go here. Which was never the case prior to finding them.

Went in as a last-​minute walk-​in (based on all of the positive reviews) to get my winter tires installed before heading back up north. They were backed up and couldn’t squeeze me in, but Mike called another shop, verified their availability and made an appointment for me. Great, friendly customer service.

Great shop full of great people. Fantastic customer service, even when they were extremely busy. Most importantly– they are honest and kind people… I am from out of town and do not know as much about my car as I should… Could have very easily been «given the runaround» by these guys about prices, replacements, parts, etc. Instead they ran a diagnostic test, pinpointed the problem under the hood, and recommended they clean the part causing the problem instead of replace it. My car is running great now and they saved me over $ 200 on the part. Says A LOT about a business when they have the chance to make a buck off of you and your inexperience but instead they fix your problem and teach you a thing or two about your vehicle. These are great people! I think that’s the mandatory requirement to work there: must be amazingly awesome.
Seriously, what I like is that they’re knowledgeable, honest, and even on my first visit there, they treated me like I was a regular. To say they went above and beyond for me is an understatement!
After being there a few times, I can say I have no issue with just giving them my keys, telling them what’s wrong and I don’t feel the fear I’ve had at my dealership or with other mechanics.
I have a great dentist, a great doctor, and now a great mechanic shop! It’s like hitting the trifecta of the everyday world! Shazam!!!

Have been having issues with my Toyota in the past year. Went to Ronk Auto Center for the first time today. Completely satisfied with how quick and honest that the service was! Would definitely come back for future mechanical work.

I really like this shop. I had to tow my old train car here and of course was nervous about what could be wrong with it. The owner called me up and gave me a very fair price to fix it. The repairs were done the same day I towed it and by lunch no less. Just also brought a car by for an inspection and was able to call that morning and was done by 9am. Over heard the owner speaking w an older woman regarding her repairs and was actually giving her advice rather than convincing her to do repairs that may or may not result in a positive result. It just seems like these guys wanna do right by people. I like that.

Seriously, Ronk Service and the staff impress me always. Their services are superb, and they are honest and reasonable with their diagnoses and services. They are kind enough to walk through all the mechanical jargons and issues with my car, so I would walk out knowing what’s wrong with my car and what will be fixed. I’ve been recommending this place to my friends, and I would like the other Unilocalers to check this place out.

I called and spoke to Mike the owner who said he could get me in right away. I had concerns about leaking fluids on my driveway, Within 10 minutes of my arrival, my car was up on a lift. Mike personally showed me with a flashlight various leaks. He honestly told me that the leaks were minor and not worth fixing. This was done without charging me anything. Thank you deeply for your courtesy in dealing with my concern

Great Service center no complaints they really know there stuff. Recommend if you want to get any problems fixed. The only down fall its a little bit expensive but you get good results.

Outstanding place! Very honest. Reasonably priced. We bring all three of our vehicles here. They tell you exactly what you need done now, what can wait & exactly how much it will cost. It’s hard bringing your car to a new mechanic. There’s always that voice in your head wondering if you are going to get a fair deal, or if the person is just going to sell you up the river telling you everything in your car is broken and it’ll be 1 million dollars to fix.
I found this place on Unilocal,and I’m glad I listened to the reviews from previous customers. I had a wonderful experience with Ronk Service, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs a repair done. A bit of background for my situation:
My brother, who is a mechanic, and I replaced the clutch in my 2004 Hyundai Elantra about 4 or so months ago. I couldn’t afford the repair, and he said he’d be willing to give it a shot with me, so we did. Unfortunately, before we figured out a few necessary tricks to separate the transmission and the engine, the jostling we did with the engine ended up cracking the flex pipe underneath.
Since it wasn’t major, just loud and annoying, I let it go. My brother didn’t have any welding tools, and it wasn’t something he felt comfortable fixing anyway. The new clutch was great, but shifting was somewhat annoying as the RPMs dropped quickly due to the muffler hole. I didn’t realize how much it affected the driving experience, but I lived with it.
I brought the car to Ronk Service, and the office and Mike the mechanic were extremely communicative and were fantastic about educating me about the exact issues in my car. There were other things wrong that I asked them to take a look at, but NEVER was I pressured into requesting a service I couldn’t really afford. After talking all the issues over with Mike, we decided just to focus on the muffler for now, and my brother and I would attempt some of the lesser repairs ourselves.
I just picked my car up… and WOW. Driving this thing is a night and day difference. Now the clutch shifts like butter, I’m not struggling with over revving just to account for the fast drop as soon as I let off the gas, and the car is QUIET. Not to mention the MPG are back to where they used to be (around or north of 30MPG as opposed to the 25 I was getting with the broken muffler) and the acceleration is much much better than it was before.
Thank you Mike and the whole team at Ronk Service, my car is now once again a pleasure to drive, and the whole process to get it there was honest, affordable, and easy.

Auto repair.
I was pointed to this place by another shop in the area when my brand new tires picked up a screw — apparently I always manage to purchase magnetic tires.
The Ronk (short for Ronkonkoma) is one of those places I have passed a million times but never really looked at it until I was in dire need of a quick tire repair.
The girls at the front desk are quick and efficient and had my info and keys in minutes and pointed me to the waiting room.
The waiting area was fine enough– TV on, some magazines and a scattering of different seats to get you through the wait — they had my car in the shop within a few minutes and back out to me shortly thereafter.
The cost to fix the tire was about average — but I really loved the fact that many of the customers seemed to be repeat customers — the girls at the desk seemed to know many of the people by name.
Busy place — probably best to drop the car and go to work. I will use them again.
