Iga Country Market

I am a young town native who grew up here in Roscoe and I have been to this store countless times despite its subpar reputation. Yesterday I decided to go to the IGA to pick up a mediocre sandwich to enjoy with my girlfriend. We got our sandwich and made our way over to the counter. After paying in CASH, we left. Soon after, I received a disturbing phone call from my parents. Apparently every one of these incapable human beings had failed to acknowledge that we paid for the sandwich, insisting that we stole it. In a rage, we immediately drove back to the store to raise hell on the filthy grease hole that is the IGA. We found out that the owners had watched the cameras and realized that they had made a mistake and then left their employees to deal with the aftermath. They refused to call back my parents to apologize and refused to give us the contact information of the cowardly owners. In all honesty, the place has a local reputation for being a cesspool of filth; I have heard countless horror stories of bad meat and food poisoning, but I always gave them the benefit of the doubt. Also, I noticed that their pickles were sitting out on the deli counter. This place is a big fat mess and the owners are complete failures both as human beings and business operators.

While I don’t find myself here often, and usually only for milk, the staff are very nice and often very funny here. They have a large selection of cold drinks, they make good sandwiches I have been told (but have not sampled myself), and the deli section does look fresh and good.
