Great job on eyebrow threading. They tend to close 10 – 15 minutes early if they aren’t busy. On two occasions (on Saturdays), I came at 4:45pm and they had locked up. But eyebrow threading is on point!

Had no idea this place existed until I saw it on Unilocal.I pass the area all the time but its hard to see off of Lake St. I love the fact that the salon is partitioned off from the waiting area. I wear a hijab so its always an issue for me at salons. The owner was sweet and did a great job on my eyebrows. The place is clean and well kept. I think I found my new eyebrow place!

Shagufta, the owner, does a great job of doing eyebrows!
I like that is is private (as compared to Sharda’s in Bloomingdale). You step up into the salon part and there is a divide from the waiting/lobby area. I don’t want other customers seeing me awkwardly hold my eyebrow!
The staff is really nice, listens to what you want, and they have candy by the register! :) My mom has said the facials are great too. Plus $ 6 eyebrows and personal treatment.
Go here! It is in the plaza behind Thortan’s gas station on Bryn Mawr and Lake Street!

I can’t believe there aren’t any more reviews! Shaz is a true hidden gem. Hidden in that it’s in a weird location between and behind a bank and a gas station. It’s a little run down inside, definitely not your upscale beauty parlor, but appearances aren’t everything.
I have embraced threading as the means to keep the brows nice and neat. I have also embraced the fact that it’s a little more painful to get threaded than one quick pull of wax. So it’s not uncommon for me to tear up a little when I get threaded – especially lip threading. Imagine my surprise to get threaded and feel hardly any pain. The brows are oh so neat and shaped well. I couldn’t thank Nitu enough for her expertise. She’s shy, but so sweet!
Ten bucks for the threading today. What a great deal!

Just went here for eyebrow threading yesterday. (My first time… OUCH!) My cousin-in-law referred me & she’s got great brows & works for MAC… so a great source! It’s located off of Lake & Gary Avenue right behind a Thorton’s gas station so not the easiest place to find.
Anyways, I was pretty anxious to get the threading done since I heard how painful the first time around is, but the the owner really talked me through it. She shaped my eyebrows perfectly and used an antiseptic afterwards. Plus it’s only $ 6 for eyebrow threading or wax, which ever you choose! Great deal!
