Steve Shannon and Chris Cismesia grew up together as childhood friends in the Chicago Suburbs. After being commissioned by a mutual friend to make some custom furniture and murals for his vacation home, they decided to combine their crafts to develop unique pieces that are unlike anything being produced today.

Steve is a highly regarded artisan specializing in handcrafted wood furniture, carvings and turnings. His custom designed wood pieces reflect an exciting, creative, and artisic flair. His blends of woods express both a harmony and a genuine integration of nature’s best offerings.

Steve’s art has been featured at the Textures Gallery at ArtSpace in Scottsdale, AZ. His turned vessels are also sold as memorial urns throughout the country. He has been commissioned to build exclusive furniture for some of Chicago’s most successful business owners. His commercial clients include the Jump Trading Simulation & Education Center, OSF Healthcare Systems, and American Wilbert Vault Corp.

Steve’s passion began during his first high school woodworking class. His subsequent work in the tool and die industry as a moldmaker provided him with a special and unique perspective for his craft.
