Crooks with an inviting smile. Came back 6 times. Always fooled me into paying. George is a likeable guy. But a business crook. Warranty’s a joke. I’d pretty much lose my alignment on the drive home every time. $ 405 spent. On work they are apparently not qualified to do. Very disappointed and can only hope this can help turn people away that are not looking to be conned. Words of advice my friends. 50 $ for an alignment brought me here. $ 405 is what was stolen from me. George, you spoke to me like a son, as you took the last dollar out of my pocket. I hope this stays with you long enough. That when the day comes that you hand your trust to someone. willingly .and you’re taken advantage of. You reflect back on this review.

I had my tire repaired in less than 15 minutes. Reasonable charge. Quick and good service. Would recommend.

I have a 2002 Honda CR-​V with over 170,000 miles. Bought it brand new and never had a alignment done for my car. When my friend drove the car I was told that I need a serious alignment cause it kept swinging to the left and I guess I got used to it after driving the car for 13 years and it takes a good friend to wake me up that I need to get an alignment. My inner tire thread was eaten up so fast that I had to replace that side of the tire more frequently. Stopped by this alignment place and got all four sides done and it feels like new and not having to worry about the steering wheels swinging to the left. Good customer service and the staff are friendly.

Manny did one hell of a job doing his very best to align my ’95 LS400 after I swapped out my coilovers for Parts Shop Max (San Diego/​Japan) coils, and a slew of parts from Serial 9 (Canada) upper front control arms, roll center adjusters, lower control arms, toe arms and traction arms. My car is what some would consider low. And currently running 20×10 and 20×10.5 wheels on my car. Front fender is rolled and pulled. And the rear is shaved. Manny helped me dial it in the best he could to my satisfaction. He dedicated a little over 2 hours working on my car. George was also there to entertain and exchange some knowledge and life talk.

I usually get alignments at wheelhouse, which is down the street from this place but their alignment rack was down. So I bought my wife’s car to New Monterey (Bear alignment) for a 4 wheel alignment. I asked them how much, the clerk said let me wait until the tech inspects your car. They wouldn’t give me a price until my car was on the Bay. By the time they gave me a price, they were already working on my car. He charged me $ 80 for a manual alignment he didn’t use a computerized alignment machine. I told him other local shops around them were charging half the price. 1950’s alignment with 2014 prices. If I had known the price before they pulled my car in the bay I wouldn’t have done it. Never coming back here!!!

Met up with George, the owner of the place. Great customer service. Went in for an alignment and when it was finish there was a loud screeching sound I notice when the AC was turn on. He did not fix it and another problem yet to solve. So beware!

I had my car brought in for alignment and at first it was fine and after 1 block the steering was already crooked. I thought, «maybe the road was bad» I continued driving home to riverside and the whole time I was like … why is the steering wheel crooked. I brought the car back a month later to have them fix the problem and the same issue occurred. Although they are nice people, the service is horrible and I had a poor experience with their alignment job on my car and I will not be coming back, nor recommending them to friends and family.

Came in for an alignment and tire rotation. The main mechanic who served me was very courteous. I was there for less than an hour. In and out very quick. Service is great and they have a comfortable waiting room

Such a great experience with Monterey Alignment… from the moment I scheduled an appointment (although no appointment necessary) all the way to my drive on the freeway back home (Monterey Alignment did a courtesy call to check my drive home)! Monterey Alignment took care of me and my squeaky and grinding breaks, rotors and alignment. I couldn’t believe the price I paid for all the work I had done on my SUV — a 3^rd of the price I would’ve paid elsewhere. But I was not only impressed with the price, I was more taken aback by the customer care and knowledge of the employees at Monterey Alignment. Thanks Norm and Danene for talking me through the process.

I have to say after shopping around for a better price. I was lucky enough to get a referral to Monterey Alignment and thank goodness I did. I was quoted a price that was basically ridiculous from another mechanic and I knew it. I know a little about cars so his quote seemed excessive not only that I felt like my car didn’t need the work he advised. Thats when I called a friend and she referred me to this location. I figured I would NOT tell them what the other Mechanic quoted to see if in fact my car needed the additional work. Monterey Alignment diagnosed the problem and quoted me a price that was less than half of what the other mechanics had quoted. They aligned my vehicle and replaced the motor mounts and the customer service was fantastic. I will definitely be returning to Monterey Alignment for service I will also refer my family and friends.

I was very pleased with the service I recieved after shopping around to different mechanics. Most places try to take advantage of me since I am a yound female, but Monterey Alignment was very thourough with thier assesment and gave me options with what could be done to fix my car. They weren’t just trying to reccomend the most expensive services.
Overall I was happy with the work they did, my car is running great, and thier prices were the cheapest I could find. I would definately reccomend thier services to everyone.

For a while, I was unsure of the name of this place. I would just refer to it as «Bear alignment.» But, looking for Bear alignment in any listing in the area did not exist… Well, there is a «golden bear» as the mascot and on the sign.
The real name is Monterey Alignment. Our family has been using this service since we moved into the San Gabriel Valley. My dad took all of the family cars here since the 70’s, 1970’s, that is!
My dad, God, rest his soul, was a rather meticulous individual. He would keep track of the family cars with a ledger for each car. He would religiously record the mileage, date, cost, and outcome of each type of incident to the car. He would treat his car mechanics like Gods! Showering them with their favorite treats. And shoot the breeze with them. He usually had 3 types of mechanics that he would frequent; regular all around mechanic, transmission specialist and alignment specialist. When we got foreign cars, he would travel to Santa Monica for the specialty mechanic (read: Volvo), since he knew the master mechanic from Kramer Motors that started his own business, Funny note: a couple months after he had passed on, someone called the house, he had ordered an exhaust system for the Volvo, just in case, since they were pretty rare (parts for the 74 Volvo, had become quite scarce and pricey).
True, to his meticulous nature, was his uncanny ability to select elite mechanics, that were quite reasonable as well. My old man, was quite the triple threat! LOL. He could sure pick ‘em! Apparently, I have pieced together that he was quite a car enthusiast back in the day. Before, he married my mom, he had owned several nice sporty cars, even convertibles. Not, the easiest feat, for an Asian male in the 40’s/50’s in LA. Being an minority in LA, in those times, was not the best. But, that’s another story.
I am not my father. I have tried, in vain, to keep up with his «traditions» for the cars. In the process, I found out some things about myself. Rather, I am quite the opposite, perhaps to provide needed balance in our family. He seemed to be always serious and stern, he rarely if ever showed any emotion or joy. After his passing, well, quite a while after, I asked my mom, if my dad was happy with his life. To my surprise, she said he was a rather happy person and loved life. I don’t ever remember this about him or never saw that side of him.
That reminded me of a quote form Kevin Cosner’s «Field of Dreams» in which his character talks about not recognizing his father’s ghost.
Ray: «Oh my God… It’s my father… My God! I’d only seen him years later when he was worn down by life. Look at him. He’s got his whole life in front of him and I’m not even a glint in his eye.
I always wonder about the «father» that I never got a chance to see. But, he’s sprinkled all over my life, whether, I know it now or not. I think that’s how it is with everyone me meet that makes an impact on us all.
But, I regress…
Monterey Alignment is on my dad’s map for a reason. Expertise, value and in the neighborhood. There are only 2 schools of how alignment is done. I trust this one, and if it’s less than 5 minutes from my house! I like it even better.
So, remember if you change your tires or rotate them, you need this service.

My husband and I chose to bring our van here because it is close and because THEY SPEAK ENGLISH.
First, I would like to say, that not only were they polite, professional, and VERY CLEAN… IT WAS ALSO, A COMPLETELY OPEN GARAGE!!! If YOU did NOT see your car being worked on, it was because YOU CHOSE NOT TO SEE! You would HAVE to LOOK AWAY from YOUR CAR NOT TO SEE IT! They PROVIDE SEATING… FACING the GARAGE were they are working on your vehicle! Our van was in the LAST stall from the seating area… and we WATCHED EVERYTHING they did! AWESOME!!! Not only were we happy with their work… we were also very pleased with the diagnoses! Considering we didn’t need an alignment at all, but a new tire! Thanks to that HUGE pot hole on New/​Hellman a couple of weeks ago! I would HIGHLY recommend this establishment!

Well, I don’t know what the hell Phuc Q. is talking about, but this place always does a great job when I bring my car in. Maybe Phuc Q. was high to notice the car was center.
I think Phuc Q. should just change his/​her name to F**K U, because it’s pretty obvious that’s his/​her favorite word.
As for your charge back, you can file a dispute, but will be wasting your time. Once your card is swipe and you signed it, they can show the proof of receipt that card was present at the time of the transaction. So, once again your wasting your time.

My dad and I dropped by this alignment shop a few weeks ago because my car kept veering to the right. When we first arrived, I was given a clipboard with a form that asked me for my name, contact info, and my problem. I wasn’t sure of which service to request, but the really nice mechanic explained the different options to me and I was able to finish the form.
My dad recommended this place because he likes how the mechanics actually take the cars out for a test drive before working on the alignment. Other places uses machines/​computers to calculate the problems, but I like how they do it old school here. It makes me feel like they are putting in the extra effort instead of being lazy. The mechanic worked quickly on my car and I was able to leave in less than 30 minutes. Very quick and dependable service.
It cost me approximately $ 35 to get my alignment fixed and I have a warranty on the service for 90 days or 4,000 miles (whichever comes first).

My dad’s friend (who is a mechanic) recommended me this place for me to get my car alignment fixed. A mechanic named Duane helped me out. He’s really nice and very quick. It only took him 20 mins to fix the problem. Tip: call in for an appointment before heading over there just in case because they’re normally pretty busy.

I took my Explorer to a Ford Dealership to have my brake fluid flushed. The Ford Dealer «discovered» that I needed to have my ball joints replaced. Expensive. About $ 700.
My brother, a mechanic, recommended Monterey Alignment. He’d had some work done on his Suburban and was very happy with the results.
Well, Monterey Alignment took a look at my Explorer and told me that the ball joints were okay and that my alignment was within specs. There was No charge. I told them that I did have some issues with my ride (slight bucking on some irregular surfaces at speed) but they said that the front end was ok and everything looked good.
I thanked him and ended up having my brother replace the Edelbrock shocks I had with Bilsteins (this Explorer takes 5; it had the stock axel dampner). Truck rides great now. I guess that’s why the dealerships are called stealerships!
5 stars for Monterey Alignment. An honest and competent outfit. What more could you ask for?
