Chill Salon & Man Cave

Took our son in for a haircut recently, been going there for 4+ years for our son and my husband. Joel was in his Man Cave and ignored us. No one was at the front desk. Finally, Catherine comes out to help us. I asked her to cut the sides and back to a .5 and scissor cut the top, I do not like a buzz cut on the top. Our son is only 6 and was a little fidgety, but overall did a good job, she was not very patient. Then when she finished, asked if it looked good I asked for a little more off the top, and she grabbed the clippers and buzzed the top, EXACTLY what I asked to NOT happen. I emailed the shop explaining the situation and they never responded. Furthermore, they started a $ 2 additional charge when a customer requests a certain stylist and on our previous visit we made no special request, were helped by Joel and he charged the extra $ 2 even though there was no special request. It’s filthy in there and we will never go back.

Former Navy man Joel, anchors the Man Cave part in the front of the salon. Where else can a guy or lady, grab some popcorn or peanuts, play a game of pinball, or practice a trick shot on the pool table ! Joel’s wife Lisa, heads up the staff on the salon side of the business. I have had my hairs cut by Joel, Lisa and several of the other stylists and have never been unhappy with my haircut.
Joel, Lisa and all the staff are great. Small town friendly, fun and casual. I am not one to plan my haircuts, I usually just walk in and I am usually served quickly. They can get busy though, so you might want to call and make an appointment !

We have been coming to the salon for as long as it has been in Rosemount… In fact, we started coming to the salon when it was located in Farmington and follow that one that we located to Burnsville prior to moving to Rosemount. (The salon used to be called Cahill Salon, but it is now Chill Salon).
Amber has been doing my hair for years… Both cut and color. And she has been taking care of the hair for my kids since they were very little (they are now 12 and 14).
Prices are very reasonable and the staff is quite friendly. The location is quite eclectic too and makes it a fun place for a haircut. And of course they have all of the top salon products that you might be looking for.
