Specialties
The Rosemount VFW is seeking veterans from WWII to current conflicts to join an organization committed to giving back to veterans and their families and the community. The VFW works to protect current and future benefits for veterans and their families, and each new member adds an additional voice in support of veterans and their families.
Additionally, two banquet rooms are available for rent — a larger banquet room for receptions includes a private bar, and a small room perfect for meetings. Please call for pricing and availability.
History
Established in 1961.
In 1961, Rosemount VFW Post 9433 was established with 69 charter members. In the same year, the Ladies Auxiliary established itself with 36 charter members.
You can find Post 9433 along Hwy 3/South Robert Trail on the border of Rosemount and Eagan. Post 9433 started as a one-room schoolhouse from Rosemount and was moved in the middle of the night by charter members, Bernie Murphy and Virgil Hestness.
In 1981, the addition was added and provides the Post with it’s current facilities for meetings, social gathers and community events.
In 2011, the Men’s Auxiliary established their place in the Post with 27 charter members. They have brought their fantastic, home-made tacos on Saturdays and they’ve provided a new source of support for the Post and its mission.
As of 2013, the Post is more than 200 members strong. These members represent all branches of the military from World War II through present day conflicts.
