DV8 Tattoo and Body Piercing

Went to DV8 to get an upper helix piercing as well as fix a prior piercing gone wrong from another establishment. The overall vibe and energy from this place is great. It’s also very clean!
Marshall was patient and professional when it came to all of my questions and concerns. He talked me through the procedure, making sure I was comfortable and knew every detail of what was going.
Definitely would recommend this place to friends and come here again. The guarantee of sterile equipment, great customer service, and the job done right is well worth the price of this place.

Got my first tattoo here yesterday and I’m so overly happy as how it turned out. Jesse was the one to tattoo me and he was super nice and friendly and made me feel really comfortable.
I highly recommend DV8. I talked to a piercing guy and he was super nice and helped my friend with her naval piercing. Great customer service and super professional

My tattoo didn’t last a full year, went to get it touched up, artist seemed annoyed about it. I ended up leaving, although it is a clean parlor, not happy with the simple work I had them do… Would not recommend this place after all…

I went here to get a custom sleeve done, and Jay was the man to do it. He’s a very talented artist to say the least. I so far have ¼ of the sleeve done due to an allergic reaction to the red (this happens frequently with people), and we are currently waiting for it to heal to continue on. They make you feel right at home when you walk in the door and comfortable for your entire stay. I’d highly recommend!

First time coming to this shop and it was for Friday the 13^th. We waiting there for 7 hours but meeting Chris and having him tattoo us was worth the wait! Not only does he listen to Disney music, our tattoos turned out perfect and he had a great attitude for being there for over 12 hours and dealing with impatient customers. Coolest dude ever, definitely coming back to see him for my next tattoo!!!

I went in yesterday to re-​do my nose piercing. Rick helped me from picking my L bar to showing me his sterile technique. He was super personable and detailed when it came to explaining his process. I have never felt more confident in someone at a shop before. Definitely will be returning and recommending anyone I know!

Came in without an appointment to get my lip pierced. It was later during the day so it was pretty quiet in there.
Solo was super friendly and very helpful with picking out a piece of jewelry best for me. The lip piercing itself hardly hurt at all, Solo was super gentle for putting a needle through my lip lol. Will definitely be back here for more piercings!

Jesse did an amazing job on my friends tattoo. It looks great! He was quick too. Makes it easier when you can converse with the artist too. Everyone was nice. Fun place. Great tattoos.

My boyfriend and I got tattoos done by Chris on Tuesday and we both love them. We were visiting the area and Unilocaled local artists in hope of getting something last minute. We walked into the shop around 8:30 PM and Chris was the only one there. He showed us his portfolio and we talked about our ideas and he said he could fit us in the next morning.
We had an appt. at 10 and left at 2:30. Chris was very friendly, professional, and talented. He made sure we were very happy with his drawings before proceeding. I always appreciate when an artist is patient and will answer questions without getting frustrated or cocky. His service was excellent and his work speaks for itself! I will definitely recommend Chris to all my friends in the Sacramento area and return if I’m back in town.

This shop has great jewelry. Pricing is pretty typical, however there is a broad range of prices for jewelry. I was referred to this place by my mom who recently got her double tragus done there and looks so great with the earrings he chose for her. I went in not knowing what I wanted, but Jonathan helped me select the perfect piercing for me. I ended up leaving with a conch piercing. The earring I chose is a 14k Gold and Swarovski cluster from Body Gems. I am very happy with it:)
In addition, there is an ATM within the shop, as they no longer accept credit cards.

Update: My dreaded nose bump cleared up. With patience … It healed by itself. It still has very little ‘crusties’ around it — but nothing that bugs me. I’m so happy with the placement.

I will deff be back to Dv8 to get my diamond changed out– but I’m waiting like 6 months before doing that. They deff have the best jewerly around! So excited to get a little hoop or a different style stone.

A friend and I booked an appointment with Bones to have wrist tats done on the night of the Blue Moon. This was my second tat by Bones, plus he did some touch-​up work on another piece done by another artist/​shop that had not turned out as planned. We were both extremely pleased with both Bones and DV8. A very welcoming atmosphere, everyone is very courteous and helpful. An all around great experience. After our consultations, I emailed Bones our artwork and he had it all ready to go when we arrived. He was very open to suggestions and answered all our questions. He is very laid back easy to work with and really wants you to be happy with your work. It was a vastly different experience than my first! Plus he is very light handed so the pain factor was minimal. Thank you, Bones!

Jonathon was amazing! I wanted to get my belly button pierced, and he went above and beyond helping me. He took time with me to pick out jewelry that would look good with my belly button, and explained everything in detail. You can tell he really loves what he does. The piercing was quick and very sterile. I will only recommend him for piercings from now on!

My review is for the cleanliness of the shop, the helpful, friendly manner of its employees, the variety of custom jewelry available, but mostly my review is for Jonathon. Let’s be real. I came walking in here (Please note sign with Christopher Walken’s face by the door. You see that and already you know what kind of experience you’re in for) because I had just been given a stellar review from one of my favorite Lush associates at the mall. I know that sounds weird, but I was on the hunt for quality custom jewelry.
They were slammed when I came in, but Jonathon was still able to come over and help me pick out some opals for my nose and cartilage ear piercing. He bounced between me and two ladies getting their noses pierced. Sadly, I was on a time schedule and had to leave to meet my sisters for a movie. I had waited about 45 minutes, and as there were a handful of people in front of me and I was a walk in, this did not bother me. I had to be the rude weirdo though and let the front office folks know I would be back and to apologize on my behalf. Felt so stupid but I didn’t have time to stay.
I came back 3 – 4 hours later, still feeling stupid, but I was well received. Jonathon had the pieces we talked about ready to go, and I apologized a million times for being a jack (rabbit) and leaving. He showed me first how to take out the post in my nose, which I was embarrassed to admit that I had no idea how to remove, having gotten it done back in September in SF. I noted his attention to cleanliness and his expertise and was really impressed. Then, he put in my new purple opal with gold metal on the outside, and my princess cut pink and turquoise opal for my ear, with purple metal. Both are so beautiful!
I love my new pieces so much, and I love that he works with metal tint! There’s appropriate science words for what that actually means, and it was explained to me, but I don’t science well. The metals come in whatever color you want, basically. So it’s not just the stone or stud that has color. I’m a big fan of custom and unique pieces, and I will definitely be back. Jonathon went above and beyond to help me out and recommend jewelry that fit my personality and style, while putting up with my ridiculous schedule.
Recap: Extremely clean, amazing jewelry selection, customer service focus on point, highly experienced staff that are also WELCOMING, and a roomy comfortable location. As my go to tattoo parlor does not do them, now I have my place for piercings and body jewelry. I highly HIGHLY recommend this location for piercings.

Came here on Friday the 13^th months ago to get my septum and got it done by Jonathan. He pierced my septum with a 14g retainer and it was done great.
Hardly any pain at all besides the pinch, talked to me a lot about what gauge to get and healing process etc. All around knew what he was doing and my septum healed perfectly fine. Is a bit pricey but you get exactly what you pay for which is quality jewerly, and real professionals in a clean nice shop.

Very clean/​sterile. Great advice/​guidance. I have been here for tattoos and piercings twice. Great value for high quality jewellery and service. The staff are so calm and reassuring… the anxiety level goes way down. True artists with a passion for their work. I would definitely come back again.

So impressed by this establishment. Professional, informative, and VERY CLEAN. I can’t get over how CLEAN and sanitary this place is. Went to get a simple nose pierce and they took their time to properly sanitize my jewelry and all tools.
I’ve been to other very well known Roseville tattoo/​pierce shops (Wild Bills) and they are nothing comparable to DV8.
Other shops aren’t as knowledgable or professional.
I will never go anywhere else.

My daughter and I had gone to get tattoos together. We did personal ones in our own writing. Jay was very friendly, quick and had a soft touch. We were in Roseville and found the shop on Unilocal.So we just dropped in. He drew our pictures and was ready and set up within a ½ hour of us walking in. Everyone we encountered in the shop was very friendly. Also we checked out his portfolio, amazing tattoos. Ours were simple ones so it took him less than 15 minutes each from start to finish. This was my 9^th tattoo and I love it. My daughter is going to get a sleeve and is already making plans to talk to him about it. Thanks Jay for being awesome.

I originally found Bones at another shop he was at for years & recently visited him at his new spot (he’s actually been here for quite awhile now) & I like it! The waiting area is clever; couches, a ping pong table & plenty of room to hang out. There are so many artists there; I peeked into most rooms & it seems like each artist displays a completely different style, which I appreciate. I love the turquoise wall color & Bones’ spot especially because it is kind of separate from most of the artists (& I really mean most of the people… which you’ll appreciate if you’re more introverted haha).
Bones has always given me a fair deal & great work; I have had punctuality issues, a tattoo left unfinished by the artists & have shown up to appointments to see artists who didn’t have artwork drawn up for me… wasting 2 hours of my time drawing something up & cutting my session short for another customer by OTHER artists but I have always been taken care of by Bones & I can tell he values his clients. One time I became ill right before a session & he let me lie down with a fan blowing on me until I felt better & we continued the session. Haha I’m confident he will take good care of you, too!
