I have passed by this place 100 times and finally stopped. Great breakfast burrito! I had the Dan with a couple kinds to f breakfast meats. I liked the mushroom in it. Appreciate that they did not over cheese it. Tasted like they use fresh ingredients. Good portion for the cost of less than $ 6. The two ladies that helped me were polite. This will be my new spot for a special breakfast on my way to work.

It blew my mind that there would be such good burritos at a gas station. I ordered the franks breakfast burrito and it was absolutely amazing and very flavorful. I love that everything is handmade in front of you. Highly recommend this Diamond in the rough.

Serving the area for 15 years, they prepare awesome, huge & filling breakfast burritos. You will not be disappointed! Grill is located inside the Chevron station convenient mart. Big menu, including burgers & hot sandwiches. Down side, they don’t serve french fries :(, but the mart does carry the usual snack & drink items found at regular gas station stores. The place is mainly a «to-go» eatery, but they do have a small seating section outside the mart. TIP: get there 10 minutes before closing time as they stop taking orders by then to start cleaning the grill. Take a couple of flyer-menus with you. Keep one at home and one in your car as you can call to order ahead! There can usually be a waiting line to order. Bön Appetite!

Any burrito coupled with the Pepper Plant BBQ sauce is a match made in heaven. Glad they have a veggie option. Best breakfast burritos around.

This is the best place for breakfast burritos! My husband brought me here when we were dating and I was so sketched. After I saw that their was a person cooking and it smelled pretty good I was pretty comfortable. They have different types of burritos and all of them are my favorite. So if you are in a bind between getting gas and food on a work day morning I suggest to come in!

Damn this place has some awesome breakfast burritos! Never soaked in grease like some places, and always full of the good stuff. If you order ahead, they get it ready pretty quick. We go here every now and then at work, and its never disappointing.

Spots Bomby. A bunch of different breakfast burrito options and a couple different breakfast sando options. I tried the Franks burrito and the English muffin breaki sando. Both really tasty. Seems like a local gem, and I think I picked up on a little local fuck you attitude. Which I liked.

Who would’ve thunk? A great small café in a Chevron gas station. Definitely a hidden gem. There are a number of burritos and sandwiches to choose from. The burritos are about $ 5 and they are filled. Last time I came in they had stacks of crisp bacon just waiting to be ordered. I forgot the name but I ordered a burrito that contained sausage, crisp bacon, eggs, pepperjack and mushrooms. So filling and delicious. There is also a bunch of salsas on the counter that you can choose from. They even have small containers that you can fill with salsa too add on your food for later. I haven’t tried any of their sandwiches yet as the burritos have been so satisfying. The employees taking the orders and cooking the food are nice and friendly. You can buy a beverage in the gas station after you order. All you eating needs are covered here. Check it out and enjoy!

I lived in AZ for many years and enjoyed many a delicious breakfast burrito(Nico’s how I miss you) before moving to California. The Bay Area was sadly devoid of anything remotely approaching a good breakfast burrito. I mean what’s with the rice and beans? Shouldn’t the eggs and meat be the stars of the show? How about some potatoes in there while you are at it! And why doesn’t anyone serve bacon? Anyway, we took advantage of my ability to work remotely and moved to Roseville. Naturally I looked for good burritos to help fill me up in the morning. So after seeing the good reviews on Unilocal I was hopeful that Short Stuff would do me right. My first impression upon pulling into the Chevron was that there were a bunch of people sitting at the tables outside eating. Good sign! Went in and ordered my favorite burrito(bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheese). Few minutes later it came out and was very good. This place proves you don’t need fancy for it to be good. This is quality food and I will go again.

That was a damn good breakfast burrito! I had a long trek home and I had Short Stuff Café bookmarked for a while and new it was around the corner. Jetting across the busy streets I stood there for a moment, looking around, slightly bewildered. I heard a voice inside say, «Go inside the Chevron station.» OK. That was completely unexpected. Gas station mini market with a very small kitchen and counter area(back left). Room to seat about 8 on the right as you walk in. Gum, chips, oil. the usual sundries adorn the market. But the smell of food wafting led me directly to the hot fresh food. There were two gals cranking out breakfast burritos. Vegetarian and Meat burritos; regular stuff and specialty burritos. The Meat Lovers burrito was the first I saw and decided that was the one for me. I chose the small size. Good thing too; the small was more than enough. The grilled tortilla stuffed with freshly scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, and other goodness. A simple design with terrific flavor. The pictures just aren’t fair. No joke — one of the best breakfast burrito’s, full, filling, and tasty. Who’da thunk.

This is a solid place to pick up breakfast if you are in the area and want to grab food to-go. And if you need to get gas before you hit the road as well, even better, since this breakfast burrito place is located inside of Chevron. I was skeptical at first that burritos from a place located inside Chevron would be any better than mediocre and a last resort. I’m happy to report that is not the case here! The breakfast burritos are tasty and are a lot of food for a reasonable price. I always get the Veggie Wrap(vegetarian breakfast burrito) which comes in both a small and regular size. The small size is more than enough food and I only get the larger one if I plan to share. I recommend that you call your order in and then pick it up when you arrive. All burritos are made to order, so just like any other restaurant where you order to-go, you want to give them about 10 – 15 mins advance notice. I’ll be back when I’m hungry and need to get gas and food before I hit the road.

I can keep this short and sweet(unlike my usual reviews). Best breakfast burritos and honest burgers in town, at perfect prices. And if you think it’s beneath you to eat food from a tiny café in a gas station, then you don’t deserve the glorious, wonderful, tasty delights those hard working, nice ladies are serving up. Don’t be one of those people. Do yourself a favor and get there. Also, that Chevron has the best fresh brewed unsweetened iced tea anywhere. :) Perfect place to stop for a quick breakfast or lunch; I recommend the Frank’s breakfast burrito and the regular hamburger or, if you’re really hungry, the double bacon cheeseburger.

Aside from the fact this is in a gas station, this is a pretty good breakfast burrito. When I first came here, I got the Chorizo, I was not happy with it and considered giving this place three stars(there was more egg than chorizo and tasted like I was just eating an egg burrito). BUT I decided to give this place a second chance and got the Dans burrito. It was AMAZING. I will surely come back for Dans breakfast burrito. When you want to place an order you walk to the back where the«counter» is. Place an order and you will be given a slip to purchase at the register. Once your order is done they will notify you. There are tons of different sauces available on the counter so feel free to make your own(there are plastic sauce containers to carry out).

Grabbed a Firestarter and a Frank’s burritos this morning. Really good food at a great price! And it’s cooked fresh right there in a Chevron gas station so it’s super convenient!

One day I was in the mood for a breakfast burrito so I did a computer search and found the Short stuff Café. Unfortunately, it was Sunday so I has to save this for another day. After some medical appointments at Kaiser I decided to give it a try. You order at the counter and pay where you would pay if you bought gas of items in the store part of the gas station. I am a vegetarian so my review is non-meat so that is why it is not a 5 star. There is no need to get the large size as a large is gigantic. There are a ton of hot sauces on the counter but a word to the wise would be to let her know before hand that you are adding otherwise she will roll it up then you will try and unroll to add the hot sauce and have a mess on your hands. This is a cheep and filling breakfast when you want a stick to your ribs kind of morning.

The«Short Stuff Café» is a small counter inside the Chevron mini-mart on Eureka Rd(Directly across the street from Fat’s Asia Bistro). Order at the café counter, pay to the left over where you buy your gas and mini-mart items, then wait for your order to be called-out back at the café counter. It took about 10 minutes for my «Dan’s» breakfast burrito to be made hot off the grill. Inside the grilled flour tortilla: Scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, potatoes, green onions, pepper Jack and cheddar cheese. There’s a bunch of bottled hot sauces available at the counter as well as a container of what looked(and tasted) like a fresh tomato salsa(about medium heat). Sliced jalapenos were also available to dress your burrito. There are two tables inside the café(4 and 3 top) and two more outside the café in a covered patio area(both 4 tops). The burrito tasted great! All the ingredients blended well and I could easily taste the individual ingredients in each bite. The fresh salsa added the perfect amount of heat. I’ll be back(on a day when I have an extra thousand calories to burn) to try some other burritos!

This café is nestled in the back of the Chevron gas station where two gals are cooking up your wrap as quickly as you order them. It’s a walk up to the counter order to go place. Sorry to see there are no seats, tables or chairs for you to sit but it’s priced perfectly for those who wish to have an awesomely priced hefty meal to go. We were up north in Penryn & getting our bar stools correctly assembled. Because we had additional affairs to take care of and the renovators were back at the range we decided to just pick up a few wraps to go. Of course, my horoscope said it was a bad day for business but I ignored it as I had a lot things to do today no matter what. I know we will be back as the wraps were yummy and delicious. Their menu is so extensive that we will have to check it out again. My HB asked the ladies how long they have been there and they said for fifteen years. Now that’s impressive! Be aware there are two separate Chevron gas stations, close by each other. Short Stuff Café is located on the corner of Eureka Road and Rocky Ridge Drive not the one on East Roseville Parkway. They are opened early from 6AM to 2PM Monday through Friday & Saturday 6AM to 11AM. Closed Sundays! Don’t drive out here from Elk Grove that day! You will be totally burned & bummed out! LOL.
