Coming from Las Vegas, one of my absolute favorite burger chains is Smashburger! For a fast food burger I place it up on the same tier with In-N-Out(but with more burger seasoning and toppings), and everywhere else below it. I came in around 11:00am driving back from a camping trip and this burger definitely hit the spot! The rosemary garlic smash fries(which are one of my favorite fries ever) seemed a little cold and dried out, very uncharacteristic for what I usually had from my hometown smash burger, but this might just be an aberration. Otherwise I was completely satisfied with my experience here!

Fantastic food! They messed up our order and forgot my burger and fries… naturally, I was furious! But then the asst manager came out, refunded our money, apologized profusely! Like that hadn’t won me over already, the COOK came out and apologized… AND gave us a generous order of fries! Felt very spoilt and pampered :) The definitely made a loyal customer!

Smash Burger rocks! In the Roseville area this is one of the best places to get a burger. I love the classic smash(regular size) add sliced jalapeños. Smash burger is great with customization and an assortment of toppings(I.e. Cucumbers, jalapeños, BBQ sauce, etc). They have different bun options, but I typically stuck to the classic egg bun. Most burger lovers understand how important a good bun is and Smash understands no one wants a bun falling apart while you eat. For the vegetarians there’s a black bean burger option. I’ve had it a couple of times and it was very black beany. I wish it was a little spicier. For the smallish eaters, the regular size bigger is the perfect size if you still wanna enjoy some sides. My two favorite sides are the sweet potato fries and veggie frites. I get smash sauce on the side to dip my sweet potato fries in-it’s a honey mustard esque sauce. The veggie frites are buttery green beans and carrots. Both are cooked, but firm enough to pick up-Never flimsy! The prices, food, and location ROCK! You gotta check this burger joint out.

Let me start off by saying I have to been to smash burger several times however, not too recently, and it used to be great. Tonight it was a disaster. We ordered take out, and when we got it home we were very disappointed. I ordered a large fry so we could share, and received one cold regular size fry that was only 2⁄3 full. Our burgers were a mess. Cold, smashed creased buns, sauces all over everything, just a mess. My mans salad had a piece of bad slimy lettuce… Did I mention it was all cold? Even though we arrived 5 mins early from the time they quoted us! I don’t know if they have new«cooks» or what. but I will not be going back if it is now going to be like this experience.

Came here last Monday with my sister, they were fairly slow when we arrived, but the guy behind the counter still seemed a bit frazzled. He made an extra milkshake by mistake, so atleast we got one for free, which was nice. Food was delicious, but a tad pricey. We sat on the enclosed patio which we loved!

Our meal was very greasy. Our search continues for a good local burger. We ordered: Burger on a bed of lettuce, with grilled onions, tomatoes, applewood smoked bacon and smash sauce. Mushroom black bean veggie patty, with mushrooms, lettuce, and mayo on a whole wheat bun. Spicy Cowboy Burger(modified) — grilled garlic, jalapenos, applewood smoked bacon, pepper jack, haystack onions, and barbecue sauce. 3 orders of sweet potato fries. All of our burgers were greasy. They were stingy with their lettuce, just one piece of lettuce. There was way too much mayo on the bean burger. The sweet potato fries were very salty and not fresh. The Spicy Cowboy didn’t taste like it had the haystack onions, bacon was soggy, and the whole burger was really small. We need more fresh food restaurants and not frozen reheated. Overall, we feel like we wasted our money on a really unhealthy meal.

Terrible, terrible service! Normally I write more structured, well thought out reviews, but this one deserves a rant instead. I’m that upset! So many had told me what great food Smashburger has, so I decided to try it out. No one told me that the people who work there are lazy and can’t read an order to save their lives! I ordered a Jalapeño Burger, a Bacon Cheeseburger, and an Avocado Club(no ranch), with two kinds of fries. What I received was a Jalapeño Burger with no jalapenos, a Bacon Cheeseburger with no bacon, and an Avocado Club drowning in ranch dressing! On top of that they only gave us one of the two fries I ordered! What an absolute waste of money! Their employees have no pride in their work. I would expect this from McDonalds, but from a burger joint with no drive thru?! They weren’t even busy! I will never go here again. Such disgusting service!

My mom and i had lunch here for the first time today. The service ig great and im pretty sure one of the managers was there making sure the food came out efficiently. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was really good, mom had the cobb salad which she said was also good and was huge. She took some home obviously. I also had sweet potato fries which werent hardly salted but still tasted good. The only slite complaint i have is since they have such big salads they should have bigger to go containers.

This was my first time here. We ordered the Spicy Jalapaneo burger and the NorCal burger both with crispy chicken. We also ordered the smash fries. I loved the fries but the burgers were OK. I had an issue with the chicken patties… it felt like something I have at McDonalds or BK. They were flavorless and over cooked. With so many burger options in and around Roseville — I am not sure I will be back.

I was at this Smash Burger Saturday evening to get a shake. There were 2 sets of rude families who I noticed in the parking lot. Both(could be related) families drove and parked in their SUVs. Both vehicles turned right in front of me while I was also trying to park. I used my blinker and the two SUVS didnt. They didn’t even bother to wave to say we’re sorry we almost hit you. One SUV had out of state plates but I still believe in common courtesy no matter where you are from or where you are traveling to. Common courtesy. As they stood in the way of everyone else trying to get to the counter to order, they studied the menus in the middle of the line holding up everyone. Again coon courtesy, get out of everyone else’s way if you have no clue about what is on the menu. I was fortunate enough to be able to order in front of them as Ia de my way to the counter to place my small order. I also sat away from any empty tables to ensure these rude customers wouldn’t be near me. I could tell they would be more of the type«look at us, we’re cool and loud to draw attention» crowd. Sure enough I guessed right. As I enjoyed my excellent shake they complained about how everything about their orders were wrong. They made a scene and I could tell it was disrupting not only me but other customers as well. More whining and complaining came from the other family as well. Bitching about we didn’t order this, we ordered something else. I did hear them order all«original» menu items and added stuff in addition instead of Signature items. It’s pretty well laid out what there is to order. SmashBurger always has a bigger selection than most burger chains in addition to chicken. They sent entire orders back including fries. That’s just waiting food which is annoying to me. And I could see all their unnecessary complaints(it’s not the end of the world folks!) employees were getting frustrated. The entire store vibe changed as well. Soon after I decided to leave I told one of the employees to not let these rude people get you down. It’s really sad a few people can ruin a nice dinner and possibly a whole weekend. Anyway I’ll be back again and I will order exactly what I always order and hopefully these people dine elsewhere.

Delicious burgers! And even yummier smash fries! I tried the Norcal, which was extremely flavorful and very filling… My only let downs were the fried pickles(way too salty for my taste) and the onion rings weren’t up to par… I will still make a ton of visits for those tasty burgers and fries! Get the cosco gift cards, $ 79.99 for $ 100 worth of gift cards! Great deal if you plan to make several visits.

This place gets CRAZY busy!!! So I would knock it down a half star(to 4.5), but the workers are clearly working their tails off… besides I am guessing a few employees must’ve called in sick because it makes NO sense to have one cashier on a Friday night… so benefit of the doubt Ill keep my rating at 5 full stars :-)… I have been on a Friday night(line out the door — well it was cold so we kind of circled the line around the eating area… there was only one cashier). And I have been on a Saturday night(line might as well have been out the door, but at least they had 2 cashiers so it moved pretty quickly). The burger is AMAZING, to save a few bucks(because this place can get pretty pricey, especially once you add a malt or shake(who can have a GREAT burger without a shake)… I opt for regular fries, I have had the Smashburger fries and they are pretty delish(I think they are just an extra .90 or so, so if you aren’t getting a shake splurge a bit and try the smashburger fries). Additionally, if you plan to visit between 6-closing on a Friday or Saturday, visit the website and place your order online… minimize your wait time a bit, it’s worth it!

Dear Smashburger, Honestly, I couldn’t wait to write this review. In fact, the only reason I didn’t write my review sooner was my astonishment at your ability to deliver the worlds greasiest bun while simultaneously producing the worlds driest burger. I arrived at Smashburger at 6:45 pm this evening. My online order said it would be ready at 7 so I had some time to spare. I took my place next the drink dispenser and watched. I happened to be paying attention to the guy managing the orders. At 6:52 pm I notice three bags come out of the kitchen and placed under the heat lamps. At 6:54 pm I watched as the same guy figured out that one of the bags didn’t belong with the other two. He then moved that bag to the side, no longer under the gentle warmth of the heat lamp. I then watched as this same gentleman had a hurried discussion with the cook, I assumed letting him know that part of that particular order was missing. The two of them debated back and forth then at 6:57 pm the cook then appeared to yell out the rest of the order all the while that bag remained to the side of the heat lamp. At 7:05ish the cook asked for another bag for that order, filled it and handed it back to the guy organizing the orders. That same guy took the bag the cook handed him, grabbed the bag to the side of the heat lamp and handed them to me. I have eaten at this location numerous times and have always enjoyed my food. So this was a big disappointment for me. You are in the customer service industry. The fact that your team thought it was ok to leave someone’s order sitting on a counter, and not under a warmer mind you, for 10+ minutes is unacceptable. With that move, the only thing separating you from McDonald’s is you not microwaving your burgers right in front of the register. The next time I want a well done burger that I order medium rare I can go to Red Robin. At least their fries are bottomless. I realize it was really busy and this may have been the only issue you had tonight, but that type of environment is when«good» customer service companies excel. And I am probably just another order or burger to you. Please keep in mind that I made the choice to spend my money at your restaurant. I could have gone anywhere and I actually had to talk my wife into ordering from your establishment because I have always enjoyed it and she has had multiple average experiences. In conclusion, I wish I had something more positive to write after my interaction with your team this evening, but still can’t get over the fact that it sat there for that long. I understand you are not serving steak, but then why ask how I want my burger cooked? And if this is what you mean by «…dedication to crafting the best-tasting burger around» then I think I’ll pass.

I was pleasantly surprised with this burger place. I tried the mushroom Swiss which was delicious. The ingredients were fresh. The burger was cooked well and crispy but not over done. I’m a firm believer that a bun can make or break a burger and their buns were delicious and flavorful. My husband had a burger with avocado on it, don’t remember the name, but I remember he really enjoyed it. The smash fries were so good and I liked the rosemary and oil, nice change from boring old regular fries. We also split an Oreo shake and it was delicious! Highly recommend you don’t skip the dessert! Anyways, this place is a quality burger place and I highly recommend try it.

Great place to eat for you Like burgers, fries and shakes! This was the first time I ate here… I usually eat at the Arden location! But the food is still just as good as the Arden location BUT I feel the Arden one may have a leg up because I think the chefs cooked the burger a little better… But this location was still good… I got my favorite truffle oil Swiss mushroom burger and fries! I absolutely love truffle oil! My lady got the jalapeño Baja burger and she loves it because of the spicy jalapeños and red onions! She also got the smash fries which is fries seasoned with salt, garlic, and rosemary… Also, I feel the Arden area is slightly cleaner… The staff here were pretty good… Nice and friendly… Overall I would be back if I was in the area! Smash burger is always a hit!!!

I really hate to write a bad review because the food was actually very good. However, my experience was ruined when I discovered hairs in my haystack onions. That’s right – hairs, as in several. I will definitely visit a different location when the chance arises, but I will not return to the Roseville location. I will give two stars because the service was good and they refunded my money immediately.

My kids love this place. I am not such a fan. For one — We walked in yesterday, and it was so cold I wish I has my ski parka on. I mean like 55 degrees cold. When I guy in front of me and I both asked for them to turn off the AC you would have thought it was 110 degrees outside(it was about 70). Finally they did but it was crazy cold anyway. As far as the food goes — I find it to be too salty. My kids love the burgers — I don’t eat meat so I tried the black bean burger — it was mushy. I do appreciate that they have salads… If you like a salty burger and fries this is your place.

Leaving my review now because I don’t see myself coming back! First off, it’s rude to roll your eyes at a customer! It was my first time here and when I misinterpreted what the cashier was asking, she rolls her eyes and pauses. Then she repeats the question, SLOWLY. Really?! I apologize to her because I clearly got what she was asking totally wrong. She asked big or large, I thought she said baked or large? I know, baked? Big? How the hell did I misinterpret the two? I dunno, I’ve had my hearing checked and it’s pretty fantastic for someone over forty, so WTF! Go figure… it was my first time and she didn’t need to be uptight! After all, there was no line behind me! We opted for the classic cheeseburger and a truffle mushroom Swiss chicken sandwich with a veggie frites. Greasy, greasy, GReaSY! Thank god for the napkin holders at the table because we blotted everything. We used a crap load of napkins too! We’re thoroughly disappointed because a lot of our friends and fam like this joint, but the last time they’ve come here was a while back, so maybe it’s gone down in quality and service?! I think I’m being fair, I’m giving them two stars. Those two stars are for the bussers! To the cashier that set my experience on a high note, Boo! Never know when there’s a Unilocaler in your frANchise!

The Husband and I have been to Smashburger quite a few times over the years and they still remain consistently good. Unfortunately they have taken my Husband’s favorite item, Fried Dill Pickles, off the menu but when we mentioned it to the cashier she said they can still make them because they had all the ingredients. Nice! For Vegetarians they have a black bean burger, salads and veggie fries. I ordered the Vegetarian Black Bean Burger on a chipotle bun(spicy!) with brie cheese, lettuce, avocado and smash sauce with a side of smash fries. I always love their black bean burger and find it has great flavor when paired with the chipotle bun, but noticed that they got rid of some of the topping choices(like sweet pickle relish) when I was customizing my burger. Boo! Also, the Husband and I both love Brie cheese, but weren’t fans of it on our burgers here. They left the rind on which made it have a dirty feet taste. Bleh. The smash fries are still great with a nice lemon and herb flavor and are always nice and crispy! We will continue to come back to Smashburger because of the consistency of their food, the cleanliness of the restaurant and friendliness of the employees.
