Meet the Manager
Melvin F.
Manager
Melvin’s life was taken October 1996. Walking home from work, his presence interrupted a robbery that was in progress. The intended victim got away but Melvin lost his life. Today, Melvin’s case is unsolved and the person whose life was spared never came forth with information. Melvin’s tragedy inspired Melvin’s Mission-Supporting Women Survivors of Homicide Day Program. Helping WSOH to rebuild their lives while suffering the impacts of
homicide.
This program is original, it is not a group. We focus on self-esteem and empowerment using art, creative writing, relaxation techniques, and more. Each survivors must complete the program with an individual Purpose for the Pain Project, which will support her as well as other survivors in her community.
*Of course Melvin is not the manager, but I felt it only right to add him in this space to tell the story of his sacrifice*
