Amazing quesadillas. My Italian born neighbor swears by their deep dish Sicilian pizza.

I’ll start with the most important aspect of the experience. Food was good, everyone was satisfied #1 pepperoni pizza #2(2) Carnitas Burritos #3 rice and bean burrito #4 cheeseburger dinner plate #5 enchiladas verde plate #6 mozzarella sticks The food was definitely a positive experience but the business side of the transaction was less so Let me try to fairy explain. We drove by for a new menu(we get rid of them from x to x for obvious reasons) The staff hesitated to give us a menu citing the prices aren’t right.(Ok expecting minor variations, np) Ordered what everyone wanted and awaited delivery 45 min(avg for area) Cost of order quoted $ 75.04 Total calculated on most recent but already dated menu $ 53… Did I miss something? That’s not a minor variation or modest price bump I’m quoted dining room service prices here. Ok, food really needs to blow us away now… Continue with order. With a $ 22 price difference you can walk down to staples and make copies until the new ones are in. Or better yet PLEASEUPDATETHEWEBSITEEVENJUST A SIMPLECURRENTMENUVERSION… Easy to modify.(Prices subject to change Disclaimer) For this cost in the future I’m more inclined to visit a full service dine in restaurant than visit at this price point. The value simply isn’t there for me. The picture I’ll post with review will show a fairly bare cheeseburger plate including fries for over $ 10 An 8 pc(large) mozzarella sticks over $ 8($ 1 each?!) An unadvertised delivery charge and Soda price. Small pizza is most expensive for size in area An enchilada dish crammed sadly into a sq foilpak container smothering the dish(still tasty) but presentation and care in packing needs work. And burritos wrapped and unmarked so it was impossible to tell which was which until cut into to discover. So many details need work makes reordering from here questionable. Nearly %30 price increase over last printed menu is absolutely unacceptable and hard to understand quite frankly. I hope this review reads unbiased, hence pointing out in the beginning that we were satisfied with the meals. Ownership, please improve quickly so we might try you again… Thanks!

Not only they have good pizza they provide excellent customer service. I witness one of the workers help a disabled pair to their seat. she got them their drinks and made sure they were comfortable. This here will make me a loyal customer. They also make great burritos the carne asada is one of the best i get the extra cheese

I went to Romano’s with a group of over 15 people, including some young children and some middle schoolers. The staff(owner and his daughter, perhaps?) went out of their way to be helpful and were courteous and friendly. The pizzas we got were very good and the burritos I’ve had on on other visits were very good as well. That combination of friendly service and good food isn’t as common as it should be. Nice job, folks.

Ok if you are going there but to if to order. I stooped because their food consistency is very poor, and the service is horrible. They never get the orders right. For example my burrito would not bring guacamole and will instead have pico de Gallo, which i did not want. Another time the pizza had too much garlic, although is usually decent. One time they miss a topic on my calzone. The fries are old. The deliveries take an hour sometimes. I love the huarachos and that is why i did not stooped ordering sooner, but one time i called after more than an hour of waiting for my delivery and they say they did not had it and they tried to call me, which they did not.

Owner was super nice. The pizza we got was pretty good. It seemed like a lot of people were just using it as a hang out for the bus. I used to live in Roslindale and the Sicilian was great. I would stick to delivery with this place.

I been here many times fantastic food. like tonight I ordered a chicken quesadilla, It was really good! I ordered a small onion ring. when I saw the portion they gave me I was like if this is a small I would hate to see a large. I even ordered rice, beans and chicken with their garlic bread which is totally awesome. I would recommend this to anyone. Monday I will try their pizza. since I know their Spanish food Is top notch.

This place confused me a lot. Pizza and Tacos? It’s an interesting combination. The tacos were great, the carnitas were not too fatty, and it tasted good. The pizza is where I got thrown off. It is thick, but thick in a way that it tastes like they bakes some pizza bread, then put the cheese and topping on after. I did not like the pizza, but the tacos were good by my book.

Best pizza in Roslindale, one of the best burritos in town. I am a huge fan of this joint. Eat all of their food immediately.

Surprise surprise! A pizza/taco place that is actually good! Some of the best prices and pizza around Roslindale/JP. I’ve gotten pizza, steak & cheese subs, tacos, huaraches con carne and various appetizers. The pizza is pretty solid. Italian style which is great considering the market share on Greek pizza in Roslindale.(Greek pizza sucks by the way). Always been satisfied with sandwiches from here too. What gets this place 5 stars is the fact that the Mexican food is pretty damn good. Where else in Boston can I get beef tongue tacos delivered to my house? The beef tongue is always tender and the hot sauce with it is fantastic. I always want a huarache from Romano’s. The combo of the tortilla, cheese, lettuce and beef is fantastic. On my to do list: empanadas, POUTINE!, head tacos.

I’m absolutely shocked this place doesn’t have higher reviews. Best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Their nachos, whether they’re made with the queso with jalapeño or the mozzarella, are the best I’ve ever had. The burritos are absolutely delicious. I don’t always like the rice most places use but theirs is fantastic and the meat always has great flavor. I honestly have not had a bad meal there and it’s sadly become a weekly addiction. The owner is a peach and cashes my roommate and I out most times. Very friendly staff and accommodating to any requests. I’ve never had the Italian food but it looks delicious.

Two slightly grease covered thumbs up. I’ve gotten delivery from this restaurant several times. Delivery is consistently swift and accurate. I’ve never had their pizza, I’ve stuck to the Mexican food which is delicious. The burritos and the tacos are fantastic, the nachos are good, the quesadillas are nothing to write home about. The burritos are massive. They aren’t physically that big, they’re just really, really dense. Think double the mass of the burritos at your favorite generic burrito chain with double the flavor. I’d definitely recommend getting delivery or stopping in and grabbing a burrito when you’re insanely hungry.

After this place changed management, the quality of the food shot way up! There are few places where you can get a great Sicilian style pizza(I’m Sicilian so I feel I have a good grasp of their pizza) and some awesome mexican food! I would highly recommend stopping by here and having a bite. –Dom

Place is a hit and miss for their pizza in my opinion. I think the management has also changed so I’m not sure how it is now but when I came here a few times, when the pizza was a hit it was alright but when it missed, it missed really badly. Not a great impression overall honestly.

I have been waiting a year — since we moved to Roslindale — to review Romanos. I couldn’t quite figure out whether I liked them or not, or where the food landed on the spectrum of my palate. I read the reviews, many stressing that the Mexican options are more worth visiting than the Italian(read: pizzas and subs). I’ve finally come to a confident conclusion — Romanos is a go. We’ve ordered pizza a plenty by now, and never been disappointed. I’m not huge on pizza to start, so as long as hubby is happy, I’m happy. Romanos came through HUGE late one night after Dominos completely botched our delivery by arriving TWOHOURS after we placed an order. Dude, really? Uhm, no, we don’t want your pizza anymore. We called up Romanos, they had four huge, juicy and hot pizzas ready for us in minutes. We had a lot of drunk mouths to feed and this was clutch. Points for service and for being there when we needed them most. As for the Mexican bits — I’ve had both the tacos and the quesadillas on more than one occasion. Both were amazing! The quesadilla is close to the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. It is loaded with juicy, flavorful chunks of meat, slathered generously in sour cream and guacamole and accented just right with hot sauce. My mouth is literally watering as I write this — I kid you not! I highly recommend trying the tacos and quesadillas, and definitely give their pizza a try. Depending on how picky you are(or aren’t) you’ll probably be plenty happy with it. The service behind the counter(and on the phone) is friendly and accommodating. I like dealing with them! Yay for Romanos!

There’s new management and it shows. I had sworn off this place after a few bad experiences. But I found out that they have recently acquired a new manager who is changing things up. So I went back the next day to try something from their«daily special» menu — a full plate of carne asada. I took it home and had it for dinner. It was excellent — four thin slices of well marinated steak on a bed of delicious pinto beans, savory rice, with pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. Thee was enough for two — or maybe even three, and the flavor was excellent. I’m eager to go back and try — well try everything else on the menu.

Under new ownership and management, the steak quesadilla is a must have. It’s the generously stuffed with tender shaved steak, a piquant sauce, cheese and salad. The wing dings are crispy and flavorful. Get the green and hot sauce on the side to dip the wings in. If you feel like eating in, there’s ample and comfortable seating inside.

The Burritos are good, The Pizza is good. It is fairly cheap & super consistent. I used to work at a school in Roslindale and we’d order from them for events, they’d often toss in a free pizza, which is a nice touch. A tip on the pizza — skip the regular, get the Sicilian(especially the buffalo chicken one, or the spinach one). They sell it by the slice for a couple bucks. It is awesome. Pick up is the way to go here. For delivery — call early or be prepared to wait(like 60 – 90 minutes), especially for the Sicilian pizza. It’ll take them a while to make plus they are largely family run and small, so timing to send someone out can be a bit messy.
