History
Established in 1991.
While working at Georgia State University one evening, Norma Hills received a phone call. A man calling from Northern Italy was looking for a Homestay Intensive English program in Atlanta into which he could enroll his new rising star employee, Sergino. Norma had been in the education industry for many years, and was not aware of such a program.
With all of her children grown and out of the house, she thought to herself, «I can teach English to Sergino!» She quickly explained to the gentleman the details of her education background and offered to write a proposal! A week later Norma mailed off a proposal to the gentleman offering to open her home to his young Italian employee for Intensive English practice with a focus on business English. Sergino stayed with Norma and her husband, David for six months and since that first student in 1991, over 15,000 students have studied English at the school that Norma began shortly after Sergino’s visit.
