Impressive theater group and facility!
Don’t let the fact that Georgia Ensemble Theatre is in Roswell deter you from a theater experience here. Their location is a relatively short drive from GA 400 and the compound has a substantial amount of well-​lighted free parking. There is a handicap ramp on the east side if you don’t want to attempt the stairs (there w-​i-​L-​L be stairs inside the theater however, depending on where you seats are).
Upon entering you will find their lobby to be expansive and well appointed. Restrooms are centrally located with handicap facilities.
The interior of the theater provides excellent sight lines from any seat and the productions are truly professional in every way. I don’t find their shows to be cutting edge theater in the least (thats mostly ITP) but the shows are extremely well done.

I went to this theatre for the first time last night. Lovely venue, great location and tons of parking.
The Only Light in Reno was playing. 1^st performance of a brand new play. Excellent acting. A must see, especially if you are a fan of any of the characters, or movie history. The characters were Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Montgomery Clift, Libby Holman, Paula Strasberg, all so well played.

Went to the GET to see Taffeta Christmas with my family. My husband and I were the youngest ones there by far.
The space is nice and the staff is helpful. They were able to switch our seats around so that we could all sit together. During the intermission they offered refreshments for a donation. The cookies were really good and they had all sorts of drink options — coffee, water, soft drinks. They also had a cash bar.
The show itself was boring in my opinion. I actually fell asleep. This was definitely a performance geared towards and older audience. My parents are members and said they have seen some really good shows here. I will definitely keep my eye on the calendar and if anything interesting shows up I would be willing to come back for another performance.

The BF and I came here the other night to watch Forbidden Broadway. It was a stormy Friday night, and we were the only ones there under the age of 50. The theater is intimate, and there really aren’t any bad seats in the house. The performance was good — the actors were spot on and clearly enjoying the work. There was plenty of parking too. The only odd thing was the thunderous noise from the roof when the rain really started coming down — I always thought dome theater were well insulated from outside noise.

This is a solid theatre company that fills a niche in the Roswell performing arts market. My family had season tickets for years, but eventually stopped subscribing when we couldn’t take *another* year of sitting through the folksy «Always, Patsy Cline.»
Also, despite their huge growth in recent years, GET has retained some of the worst practices of «community theatre,» namely the director introduction before each. and. every. performance. Find me a theater on Broadway where the «artistic director» gets up before the show and reminds people to turn off their cellphones and contribute to the annual fund. Yeah… not so much.
But I’ll quit being a Debbie Downer and say again that this is the best you’ll find in Roswell. With group tickets, you can attend a Sunday matinée for as little as $ 13, which is practically the same price as a movie. For such a little cost difference, I would much rather support live theater and the performing arts community. The caliber of the cast is always varied. You’ll see a few weak performers, but there are always a few who will make your heart beat faster and bring a tear to your eye with their heartfelt, artistic performances. Sets and costumes are always great.
Also, GET’s «home stage» is the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, which is a fabulous venue. Intimate but still very professional, the lighting, seating, sound, and general acoustics always impress.
If you live in the area, definitely consider checking out the performances of the Georgia Ensemble Theatre.

What a great place for dome great theatre. Season after season GET never fails to impress!

For a small town theater I am very impressed. I saw The 25^th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and was blown away. It was funny and well put together. The quality of performance was excellent and I was entertained from beginning to end. If you are looking for something to do in Roswell, please keep GET in mind!
