Joel B Beard, CPA, located in Round Rock, TX, began as a solution to the accounting needs for our family farm operation in Navasota, TX. We provided the necessary accounting and tax preparation for a ranching operation consistng of cattle and hay production as well as pasture leasing and residential rental property. Since our company began in 2006, we have expanded our services to include other clients in a variety of businesses. We have maintained our family philosophy to treat every client like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services are a blend of professional service with a personal touch.

Joel Beard is the founder of the office of Joel B Beard, CPA. Joel attended Texas Tech University and Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, TX where he received his bachelor’s degree in management in 1985. Joel received his master’s degree in management from Abilene Christian University in 1992.

Joel’s work experience spans 25 years in manufacturing and distribution in the areas of operations and materials management. He has extensive hands-​on implementation experience with several ERP /​MRP software systems such as Made2Manage, Business Works, Symix, and Infoflow. He is also a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and is well versed in the use and installation of QuickBooks Premier and Enterprise software.

In 2004, Joel decided to take his experiences from sales, purchasing, inventory control, and logistics and focus these disciplines in an accounting environment. Joel has worked as a controller for a construction company in Austin and later as a controller for a manufacturing company where the
