Lone Star Circle of Care

I made an appointment with these guys but cancelled it. When I told them over the phone that I would be paying in cash they balked at me. They refused to see me unless someone wrote me a «Letter of support.» WTF?
It was clear they didn’t want my business so I took it somewhere else.

Ok to start I went to this place with insurance as a referral from my family practitioner. I went to the research blvd location and it was still horrible. The wait was long and even after I set an appointment and made it on time they told me the doctor already had people in the back and he wanted to go home. Ok so even with an appointment made u are nota out to get service. Front desk was ok but the doctor was horrible. To be clear I wanted an iud placed and have never had children. I had went to the consultation and the doctor kept pushing the pill on me even after I’ve told him I was on it but had a hard time keeping up with it and he was kind of judgmental. Like damn I just don’t want to have an unplanned pregnancy. Then they told me to schedule the placement when I am on my period which I did but when I came he said he was too busy and wanted to go home. What??? What a waste of my time and day. The worst part is that an iud placement does not require you to be on your period. Anyways bottom line is to just avoid this place if you have insurance and if you don’t then still try to avoid this place. Hope this help those who are seeking alternative birth control.

Please do not go to Lone Star Circle of Care if you have insurance. IF you do not have insurance please try to get insurance to avoid this place. I went to the Round Rock location. I was pregnant and didn’t have insurance until my third trimester. I tried switching doctors once I got insurance to get away but I was too far along. The reasons why I will never go back and why I will tell others never to go to lone star: my doctor was always rushing me and seemed annoyed when I asked questions and was very unprofessional. She could never remember what happened in my previous visits and was very absentminded. She decided to induce me due to high blood pressure and induction process took over 24 hours and she decided to do a c-​section which I told her previously I did not want. She didn’t even seem to care. She never listened to my concerns and treated my boyfriend and I like we were children. I felt like she wanted a c-​section from the start without letting me know. Her professionalism from start to finish was below below average.

I was in between jobs so I signed up for ObamaCare. My normal OB/​GYN office (renaissance) was not covered by my health care, but I needed a birth control refill so I set up an appointment here. The doctor pressured me into switching to a new birth control even though I told her I had no issues with my last brand. I gave those pills a try, but I became extremely emotional for several weeks, and had the longest and heaviest period I have had in years. The hormones were really messing with me so I called to ask if they could refill my prescription. It took about 30 minutes on hold to get someone on the phone, then they had to transfer me to another department which took another 30 minutes. I asked her to please send a prescription for the one I was used to (a generic for Loestrin 24). Two days later, called the pharmacy and they said they didn’t receive anything. Feeling frustrated already I called back and waited the long hold times again. I was told that the original doctor would need to approve this prescription change, and she was out of town for another week. I finally got word that the prescription was sent after waiting another week. I picked up my new 3 month pack and found a completely different brand than the one requested. Decided to give the benefit of the doubt and assumed it may be a different generic with same ingredients, so I googled it to confirm. NOPE. It has higher estrogen levels than loestrin 24 so it is not correct again. This is something that is severely impacting my life and it is becoming an absolute stressor. I will never go back to this doctor.

Bad. Everytime I call it takes forever to get through to anyone. They have long wait times in the waiting room even if you get there before your appointment time. Plus if you care about seeing a doctor that truly cares about your concerns you went find it here. I followed up with my doctor a week later for a problem I was having and it was obvious the doctor had absolutely no recollection of who I was or why I was there. It made me feel like just another piece of junk.

Avoid, avoid, avoid! This is regarding the Round Rock and Ben White locations:
If I could find a private Dr who takes my insurance, I would not be using Lone Star Circle of Care. It is a mega mall of low quality, poor service and ghosts dressed up in human clothing. I need not share my nightmares here, the other Unilocalers have done a great job to paint a picture of similar experiences to mine. If I had the energy to watch dog this corporation, I would wish to put them out of business. Welcome to the new America, Lone Star Circle of Care is the future. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Go somewhere else, any where is better than the service I received here. Insurance recommended and I won’t be taking their advice ever again.
Been on hold no less than 10 minutes each time I have had to call, been transferred to the wrong person three times. I am now on my way up to the office to ring them another copy of the wellness report to submit for the 2^nd time bc they didn’t do it right the first time or actually they never did the first time!
