Just another corner bar. Live music, good location, prices are reasonable and the waitstaff is generally friendly. It’s right in downtown round rock, so if it’s not your scene you can always walk on to the next place.

We love Quinn ‘s and their owners! Our «go to» bar! Bartenders are amazing and they know you by name. A true neighborhood bar.

There is a good crowd going on here, the music is awesome, drink prices are good, everything is cool. Except the group of people talking down to the two female bartenders. As manager in another restaurant I won’t stand for that. I watched as the manager here completely brushed the offensive comments off his shoulder and continued to serve them. I understand its about customer service, but the rude things these patrons were saying were not excusable.
For others yes this place is fun and enjoyable, but I just hope the management sees this and appreciates each employee. Do their job for a night.

I love you, Quinn’s. You’re affordable, have a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and are ever so accommodating when I say, «Just give me something with Tequila!»
A group of my friends and I hung out here one night long enough for a couple of drinks before one of them forced us over to The Brass Tap and I badgered him over the mistake all night (TBT is fine, Quinn’s is just a million times better, no biggie). So my experience is small, but I can’t shake the awesome vibe I got, and when I was indecisive and went for my tequila go-​to, our lovely sever suggested a drink size version of the Mexican Lolipop shot (which is delicious, by the way) for $ 4.50 and man they weren’t kidding with the tequila. It was fabulous, welcoming to our large group, and I missed it when we went down the street for $ 9 drinks.
Oh, and there’s a small stage for live music!

Ownership changed fairly recently, and if you sort reviews by date, you will see a more accurate reflection of Quinn’s today. In the interest of transparency, the owner is a colleague of mine.
Still, it took me over a year to make the trek to Round Rock to check it out. In all honesty, based on the reviews I was hesitant to go there. Even after it went smoke free, it took me a while to swing by. But when I did, I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed. I didn’t detect any traces of Quinn’s smoky legacy.
I went on one of the coldest nights of the year, and I found the atmosphere to be warm and cozy. It was karaōke night, and throughout the evening it started filling up with what appeared to be regulars. Only a handful of people were on the karaōke rotation, and most of them were unexpectedly good. I’ve checked out their live music line up and it is really good! Bartenders were very friendly, and seemed to either know most of their patrons or maybe they are just hospitable enough to make everyone feel welcome.
Round Rock has a reputation of being a soulless suburb filled with soccer moms and tract houses, but when you step into Quinn’s you get the other side of the coin completely. You see the small, historic town with a surprisingly viable and happening downtown strip. All you folks that lament the passing of old Austin or newcomers that want to know what Austin was like 30 years ago? Check out downtown Round Rock and Quinn’s. That is an approximation. You get the friendly neighborhood bar vibe with great live music.

I’ve never been unsatisfied here. Tony is the best there is. Friendly as hell and nice as can be. Not your average bartender that just wants your money and won’t talk to you at all. Even during the week it’s very nice. Quiet yet comfortable. A definite must go to place if you’re in the neighborhood :)

Let me first say I’ve been dying to check this place out. Finally had time for a casual night out on a Monday and was highly disappointed. The owner is a douche bag! Nothing but attitude and basically kicked us outta our seats at the bar so he and his girlfriend could sit down and enjoy their fireball… Excuse me but I think I’m the paying customer and should be able to keep the seat I prefer. Let that be said but poor beer selections. Won’t be back.

This place has now gone non-​smoking and is usually very relaxing place. Sometimes the music can be a little overwhelming depending who is on stage. But that is just because the building is a little smaller. Very good place to grab a drink now that it is non-​smoking!

Quinn’s is definitely your neighborhood bar with a great atmosphere and crowd. If you are a live music fan this is your place. Unfortunately I am not but I can’t hold that against them as thats the road they are taking. Service was excellent from the bartenders that were there when I was frequenting the place. It can be slow during happy hour but believe me it will pick up going into the night.

I am confused by the low star grade on this place. When we came in there was only a handful of people and it reminded me of a cozy local neighborhood bar. The place filled up a little after we had been there for a while.
Our bartender, Gunner, was awesome!!! He was funny, entertaining and quick to refill our drinks! To me good service goes a long way. I loved the décor and there was a very eclectic mix of people in the bar. The only downfall is that they don’t have food and the places that do around it seem to close down earlier than Austin eateries

I met a group of friends here for Happy Hour. It was just sort of ok.
Positives:
cozy atmosphere
huge screen behind the bar to watch games (UT was on, so that was a plus)
friendly bartender who custom made a drink for my friend
Negatives:
pricey happy hour drinks — $ 4 for a draft during HH? wow
all seats are bar height — not comfortable for more than 5 minutes
they ran out of paper for the credit card machine, so it took forever to check out while we waited for them to get more
the ladies bathroom was
. worse than a port a john
I won’t make a point of going back, but would if a good band was playing maybe.

Went on a pub hopping trip through Round Rock with some friends (YES it’s possible) and this was definitely the highlight of the trip! Great crowd and live music were great but the bartenders were awesome!
He asked me what I wanted and, being the indecisive creature that I am, I said «I don’t know… YOU decide what I want.» At which point he read my mind and brought me some absolutely delicious grapefruit drink that is now my new favorite. Wish I knew what it was.
By the way… No smoking bars ROCK!!! My clothes didn’t reek this morning!

Pretty neat little bar. Never even knew this was here, as I am no longer a «local». The last time I was in this part of town, this place was a coffee shop. I really like what they have done with the place. Went on Halloween and they had an awesome band playing (Lixbox). Everyone seemed pretty chill and friendly. It does get packed pretty quickly so get there early for a good seat. Don’t know much about the Happy Hour, or if there is one, but drinks are moderate to pricy. $ 6 for a draft beer? Will definitely try this place again, just wish it was a bit closer to the house. I can see this becoming a new hang-​out.

cons: kinda small so not good for larger groups or dancing, no smoking, (hubby and friends smoke) and draft beer a bit pricey

This is a good neighborhood joint that could get packed in a flash. The doors were open, so the smoke wasn’t bad. the patrons and the bartender were overly friendly.
The reason why I dropped this from a 4 star to a 3 is the identity crisis. I’m not sure if it’s a hooka, cigar, rock, mello or an upscale joint. I REALLY like the look, but perplexed by the identity.
I guess it’s cheap drinks and smokes, which would DEFINITELY work for me…

Friendly bartenders, great drinks, live music, and a diverse and fun crowd of people… all that AND you don’t have to drive down to 6^th Street! Highly recommend Quinn’s for a drink or 2 or 3… :)

Quinn’s let me down tonight. I don’t go up to Round Rock for a bar scene often, but I most definitely won’t go back here.
I was drawn to Quinn’s tonight to see a friend participate in the live music. As I expected, the bar was a smaller place, and seemed to meet all the basics (sound, beer, some mixed drinks). The bar staff was good to us.
However, right before my friend was due to join in the live music, the owner decided to pull the plug. I asked to speak to him to understand why. His explanation was reasonable — he didn’t plan for a group of people playing that night. He only expected one of the group to play, and felt like the music sounded like a «jam session.» His place, his rules, and I didn’t push him too hard.
However, as we were leaving, my friend who had been denied the chance to play guitar told the owner a snarky, «Thanks for nothing» comment. Instead of ignoring it or being reasonable about it, the manager GOT IN MY FRIEND’S FACE. He didn’t raise his voice, or tell us to leave — he literally stepped up, nose to nose with my friend, and did the whole «Let’s take this outside» act. He revealed some warped machismo personality that just blew my mind.
Seriously? You get in the face of some guy, who you just told couldn’t play at your bar, because he was upset? And you’re running a business? That’s embarrassing, and scary. How often do you threaten to hit your customers?
I wouldn’t recommend any business this guy runs, unless he stayed away from the premises at all times.

I stopped in with a friend for a drink with no real expectations. I’m not a typical bar patron and my usual drink is scotch but since top shelf isn’t always on the menu I settle for a Guinness. Quinn’s is a late night Round Rock hot spot and I always see it full on Fri and Sat nights.
The ceiling fans are cool, the décor is ok and I like the long curved booths. My friend and I sat and had our drinks considering all that the great state of Tx and Round Rock in particular has to offer. You get a little of all of it here, blonde with fake tits, upwardly mobile guys who lift too many weights wearing long sleeve shirts, metalhead with long hair and leather jacket doing the occasional hair toss, Mexican guy in jeans and a cowboy hat then… some dork in jeans. That’s me.
Overall I found the place fine. My only surprise was the smoking inside. As soon as enough folks showed up and 4 or more started smoking it was time for me to go. I loathe being in a closed air place with cigarettes. I know it takes away all my clout and merit as a man but my colors really show. I’m going home to eat some omega 3 filled salmon and drink bottled water.

I still have memories of your shell as a coffee shop. I heard your name and figured you were an Irish pub. You are not. Driving up, I saw the Fleur de Lis adorning your windows. Oh, cool! A Louisiana style/​Cajun joint perhaps. No, not that either. Dark wood furniture with granite table tops, hardwood bar, big padded booths… maybe a little upscale. maybe? Wait… what is that? Lil’ Diddy Wayne West feat. Eminmemenem BLASTING with booming bass. Well, hell… now I’m just confused. What are you?
What you are is a decent little neighborhood bar with a decent drink/​beer selection and a diverse crowd. The staff although not rude, wouldn’t fall into the «friendly» category, either. The smoking ban hasn’t reached RR, yet, so the air was… aromatic. You have all those double doors. Open them. I would have stayed for more than one drink, but I could barely hear what my friend was saying. Turn down the volume.
Quinn’s, I think you need therapy to find yourself…

When Mr. Green suggested we visit every bar in Round Rock on a Thursday night, I figured it probably wouldn’t take more than a half-​hour or so, so what the hell. And I was fairly accurate. Incidentally, this actually may have been Mr. Pink’s idea, but sometimes I can’t keep their friggin’ colors straight.
Quinn’s Bar was our first stop. I’m not saying all bars should have an identifiable theme — like dive, gay, hipster or whatever — but it does make it easier to describe in a Unilocal review. Right offhand, this place struck me as one of those new upscale places you find in Downtown Austin, but with short black dresses and martinis replaced by gimme caps and ashtrays.
I’m always fascinated when I walk into a bar and see smokers lighting up, but in this particular venue, it just seemed unnecessary. Although I’m a smoker myself, I just got up and went outside a couple of times, because I’m a polite and sensitive guy, and I can only take so much of Eminem complaining to me at 83-​decibels. We didn’t stay here long, and headed off to the next establishment.
What surprised me was when we finished our crawl around 11:40, we passed by Quinn’s on the way out, and there was either a live band or some serious karaōke apparently kicking ass for a late-​night jumping crowd. Hello? Did we miss the memo here? Maybe I’m underrating the place, or maybe they were just waiting for us to leave town. Ok, score one for all parties, and we’ll keep Quinn’s on the short list for our next Northern exposure.
