Dr Hutto is great. He always takes time to listen to you and is very friendly. I started seeing him after Dr Zook moved to Lakeway. He actually spends time and listens to you.

Dr. Hutto is kind, compassionate, supportive, listens, takes his time with all of his patients. He is smart and has the best bedside manners of any doctor I’ve seen.

I moved a year ago from Hawaii to Austin. I was there for 23 years and had a cadre of doctors, very good doctors. I knew when moving here that I would be starting from scratch and it would be difficult to find docs I trusted. I blew through 2 doctors in a matter of months. 1 was recommended by a doctor friend of mine in HI. I felt he wasn’t really listening to me. He was more intent on entering his notes as I spoke. I later found out from an ENT that his recommendations to get me off of my Affrin addiction weren’t good. I ended up leaving him when my Ritalin prescription was lost in the mail. I had a letter from the post office stating that fact but he refused to write a new scrip despite the fact that the dosage was 1⁄3 of the max dose. If you couldn’t see from my manner that I’m not a drug abuser type, then you missed something else, too. I then went to another doc at a different clinic. He had a PA do all the questioning. I got to see him for only a total of about 5 minutes. I told him exactly why I left the other MD. He wrote the script for me with no problem. I ended up not staying with him because trying to get 2 other refills on 2 different occasions required at least 3 phone calls. No joke. The staff was the pits. Adiós amigo. Bring in Steven Hutto. He listened. He took his time. He asked questions. He made recommendations that made sense. He had a great bedside manner, making me feel that he was there totally for me. He gave me scripts for all my meds so that I wouldn’t have to struggle to get ones refilled through staff that he’d never written before. I had told my GP in HI that she was Marcus Welby. For those of you who never had a chance to see the show, Marcus Welby was a TV series doc who made house calls and was always involved with his patients’ well being. Now, no one can be that kind of a doc today, but that’s the kind of caring she had and the kind of trust I had in her. It’s too soon after just one visit to Dr. Hutto to really tell, but I think he’s got a shot at hitting the note. The only reason I haven’t rated him 5 stars is that I haven’t seen him more than once yet. I will try to remember to update. My second appointment with Dr. Hutto was exactly like the first. He listened to everything I told him as if I was the only patient he had and made good recommendations. I’m changing the four to five stars and again will update if there is a change.

Just moved here recently. Had a bad experience with a previous doctor and was referred to him from a friend. He was super personable and made me feel comfortable within 5 minutes. Definately recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great doctor!

A nurse who gave me my flu shot actually recommended this doctor. He was really nice and was very informative. Had no issues refilling my prescriptions.
