Tailor’s Touch

This tailor is amazing. I’ve been using him for 15 years. Recently sent my 19 year old son in to get his suit altered. Originally purchased and altered by Nordstrom. The suit was not fitted properly. So, the Taylor’s Touch guy, a real Italian alterations specialist, made this suit fit like it was custom made. Many thanks to this guy. I hope he never returns to Italy.

The tailor was very nice and reasonable on the price. I needed a complicated dress alteration done in under a week and he definitely delivered. I am extremely happy with the result! Not sure where everyone was seeing the mess, but the place was clean when I went in. Will definitely recommend to my friends in Round Rock!

First impression: the floor is covered in dog hair, the place smells of dog mess, there’s dead cockroaches in the light fixtures and then you’re greeted by a snarling chihuahua. Getting a refund was a torturous half hour process involving the guy yelling at the guy from the merchant services tech support in an effort to refund our money.
There is a sign saying «$ 25 minimum purchase on credit cards» in breach of the Dodd-​Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act

umm, there was a horrible smell and i saw a dog with several piles of poop. I high tailed it out– how is this place open?

I’ve been using Tailor’s Touch for all of my alteration needs for several years. They do excellent work and it is always ready when promised. I have had leather jackets, down coats, business suits, blue jeans and shirts altered and they all were beautifully tailored. It’s great that they work on leather and suede too. The prices are competitive with all the tailors in the area and the staff is very professional. I’m a totally satisfied customer and if it were a restaurant, I would eat there every day!

I don’t even know if this place deserves 1 star. I walked in with 2 pairs of jeans that I needed hemmed. I walked in to a non-​stop yapping/​barking little dog and the place smelled HORRID (probably from the dog). I decided to just deal with it and give it a shot. I heard some man in the back speaking very loudly and rudely to someone. I waited a few minutes until a man finally came out and I figured it was probably the same person I had just heard. I asked him how much he charged for hemming a pair of jeans and he barked something like $ 15 at me. Less than a second later, he turns to the other customer and starts barking at them.
I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW RUDE THIS MAN WAS AND HOW HORRIBLY THIS PLACE SMELLED, Come on… do you really think it’s wise to have your customers deal with this smell, a dog who doesn’t stop barking AND your rudeness?
I decided it’s not worth even giving this place a shot. I didn’t want to deal with any of what I had just seen for a minute longer.

This place reeks dog urine and shit! Totally wanted to vomit! but i wanted to give this place a shot. Grumpy old man is very rude, when I was explaining what I wanted he started yelling I grabbed my things and ran away while I had the chance guess those two 1 star reviews on here were totally right!

I brought two new Giorgio Armani suits to Master Tailor Rick Castellano from Dallas. My insiders at Giorgio Armani recommended Rick as one of, if not the only, Armani experienced Master Tailors in Texas. Rick is an artist, the real thing. He is NOT a seamstress as others who have reviewed him fail to understand. «Master Tailor» is an earned designation and Rick is one of the last of the real masters.
Each experience for my initial fittings, my second fittings and final pick up have been pleasant, interesting and an honor. Rick and his wife run their little shop in a charming «old world» way. They are near (past) retirement but it is their love of tailoring that keep them going.
I’m sending flowers to them this morning to show my appreciation for the wonderful service, artistic understanding of my (work of art) Armani suits, and for their kindness on each of my visit.
Treat yourself to this shop for your most important tailoring needs.

Horrible!!! I took an expensive pair of jeans in to have the length taken up and when I returned to pick then up one leg was an inch shorter than the other. They then offered to fix them and ask me to return a week later. I did and they had essentially sown an extension on to the shorter leg. I told them that I wouldn’t accept that so they said to let them try again.
I come back for the third time now to pick them up and they appeared fine. I take them home to wash them and the short leg shrinks back to being an inch shorter. Lol…
Now I return them again and they said that I had to iron the short leg and stretch on it each time I washed them. Obviously this isn’t going to work so I asked them if they had insurance or what their policy is in these situations. The owner said they don’t pay for their mistakes so now I have a $ 200 pair of jeans that I can’t wear… Small claims court? Idk but I won’t ever go back and I don’t recommend you do either!!!
At the very least ask them their policy on when they screw up your clothes BEFORE you leave them there… This is the mistake I made though I’m not sure it would have made a difference.

We took 2 sportcoats to «Rick» at Tailors Touch. He did a great job on both, and was fast and efficient. Mr. Castellano has done alterations for John Travolta and Armani and has made custom suits for Hefner.
Yes he was a bit more expensive than the other options in town, (only a bit.) but the workmanship was far superior.
Usually it is about a week, but you can pay a rush charge.

«He made custom suits for Hugh Hefner.» That’s all I needed to hear. The associates at Brooks Brothers recommended Americo «Rick» Castellano for some alterations of suit jackets. He did a nice job quickly and for a fair price. His evening and Saturday hours make it possible for working people to make appointments, too, which adds to the appeal. He’s not the cheapest tailor in town, but I’m willing to spend more to get good quality work done on an expensive garment. Only two things prevent me from giving 5 stars: a yappy dog is on the premises during business hours, and Rick’s record keeping is not totally organized. But I’d still go here again.
