Bad attitude when ordering. Serious, if you were not willing to work, don’t even need to be there. It ruined my appetite!

What a poor service! The girl was rude, she’s unhappy when I was asking for refill the ice water. The food not that good. I will give zero star if I can.

The fries pork chop and beef noodle soup(Hong shao) was delicious here. They also have a bobbee style pork chop which is marinated and pretty yummy as well. Lots of noodle choices and all pretty great. Up to Taiwanesee standard and good portion size. I’m definitely coming back.

This is a favorite restaurant of my BF and his roommate. They have bogo drinks(large only, and it’s only select drinks — that I believe is slightly inflated in price) :) you’re welcome! We both ordered the same thing — beef noodle soup with your choice of noodles — large egg noodle, small egg noodle, large rice noodle, and so forth. I know you’re not understanding what we are talking about, but they’ll explain when you order or if they give you a preference). Our preference included the large egg noodle and large rice noodle. MmmmM. Ask for extra preserved veggies to add in(I frigging love that stuff!) Note — it’s right by a pizza hut. :) Also, bring a sweater, it can get cold in there. There are lunch specials offered Monday through Friday. I like the«C» combo — you choice of pork chop(more fried and crunchy), Bobee pork chop(more juicy), or popcorn chicken with rice, dry noodle, or soup noodle with a drink.($ 8.50). There are additional combos, but I chose this one today! Cash and Visa/MasterCard. Shares a lot with Big Lots, Pizza Hut and a few other restaurants/shops/retail.

This place has a solid beef noodle soup you can get for a reasonable price. I come here most times when I’m down in la. It’s comfort food you can slurp your way through.

I ordered the dry beef noodle dish and I’m quite disappointed. I heard great things about this place from my mom. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish, but mine was incredibly salty. As for the boba, it’s pretty decent given that this isn’t a place that specializes in drinks. The Jasmine Milk Tea is pretty tasty. Their boba is also pretty soft! Their service us also pretty good. They’re very prompt and it doesn’t take a long time to be served. Taking all this into account, I rate this place a 3. Warning: I’m not a Chinese food enthusiast, so my opinion is biased.

Before I tried this place, my favorite beef noodle soup was from A & J restaurant in irvine. After looking through the Unilocal reviews and finding out that this place was awarded for its beef noodle soup, I was eager to try it. Turns out, I was very satisfied with my order. The beef noodle soup was the best I’ve had. 4 stars because the restaurant is so small and loud that I had a hard time talking to my mom sitting across me.

Service was helpful and fantastic, quality of food, appetizers and drink where fantastic, defiantly recommend the beef noodle soup for the broth is cooked to perfection as well as beef, hand made noodle is also in good quality.

Bobee 5 is the winner of a local contest in Taiwanese beef noodle category. I went there because of that. I ordered beef noodle(rolls eyes, of course), green onion oil infused dry noodles, boiled tofu and pork head cheese slices. I had some expectation of how good they should be but to be honest, although they do offer a wide variety of food, I’m a bit disappointed. None of the food tasted outstanding, even their award winning beef noodle which tasted a bit bland. For the beef noodle soup all I taste was the soy sauce, but none of the beefyness. Also the boiled oily tofu(first fried then simmered) and the pork head shavings that’s supposed to be eaten with dipping sauce tasted… well …ancient…I could taste the previous frozen-ness out of the meat… as if it was frozen for more than a while, taken out at a whim, defrosted then served without verifying whether it was OK. I know small businesses like this keep inventory when business is not flowing as fast so food might not be as fresh, all my other friends also claim they do taste decent on the other times they went, so I’m giving a fair rating. However I will say again I was quite disappointed.

I was here for Popcorn Chicken, but I will have to come back to try their Beef Noodle Soup on another day, as it is what they’re known for. Sorry, but the call for Popcorn Chicken was greater. They’re also known for their Pork Chop Rice, and there are two types– Bobee and Fried. I got to try the Bobee, as our friend is a regular and recommended it. Crunchy, covered in a slightly sweet sauce. Basically, deliciousness. My Popcorn Chicken was not fried too deeply and was still juicy. They gave me huge portions of that and the sides– all of which were delicious, from the mapo tofu to the nicely marinated egg. The Pork Chop and Popcorn Chicken fall under Combo C– which you can get with a side of Napa Cabbage Salad(nothing impressive and the sauce was too salty if the cabbage floated in it for too long) and a Green or Black Tea. If you upgrade the tea to Large, you pay an extra $ 0.75 or so. Loved the portion size and taste and I must come back for Beef Noodle Soup so… hopefully another review in the future!

Just came back with friends, and yes, service and food quality is the same! Praise the Lord! Update on the food: the Beef Noodle Soup, always on par with most high-end places, was a delight in our stomach, and the rice plates that we ordered was definitely delicious! The homemade noodles go well with the broth, allowing for flavor to penetrate the noodles, allowing for a great infusion of flavor within each bite. Sounds too cheesy? Trust me, get it and you’ll be writing your own review like this. Loving the seasonal and weekly changes of side dishes that accompanied our meal. Bobee 5, keep it up! Great food, great service!

Sigh… another place I wish they had in the Oakland/Alameda area. For some good Taiwanese food, this place definitely has it. The award winning Beef noodle soup was good as well as the fried Pork chop with rice. If I lived in Rowland, I would come here at least once a week if not more. The prices are reasonable and quality of food was good. Yup I’m a fan. btw, you can get stinky tofu here. I don’t eat that stuff but my parents love it.

Taiwanese restaurant in LA. Had been coming here for almost 2 years already. I always go in and I can’t make up my mind on what I want to eat. There are the moments where everything is good and just can’t decide which one. I do love the Beef Noodle Soup(without meat) with thick noodles. I don’t care for beef not just this place, I generally don’t like it. The soup is super flavorful and it is consider a comfort food. The taste of Asia. One new discovery from the last visit is the rose milk tea. For those that like rose flavor, this milk tea taste really good. The scented aroma is infused with the milk tea. Recommended: Small groups(not a lot of seating), Taiwan comfort food, kids are ok

This place is located near JJ Bakery. If you come here, please note that food does take a long time. the staff is friendly and accomidating if you do wait. they have won awards for there beef noodle soup. but when i came here i ordered the dry beef noodle soup with all meat(im not a big fan of tripe) and the popcorn chicken. Dry Beef Noodle Soup — think a more condensed version of beef noodle soup. I do like the sister store mimi better due to their special hand cut noodles. But the flavor is here and the meat is tender 3.5÷5 popcorn chicken — Its always crispy and moise. The breading is whats best. The sides on the rice are just decent. The meat sauce on the rice is awesome. Service is good, but they cannot handle a dinner rush. Its good to come after the rush or before I wasnt really impressed with any of the drinks they had. Very little flavor

Came here for take out for lunch, got Combo D with the Steamed Garlic Chicken with Rice which came with Napa Salad and a drink under $ 3.50. The Steamed Garlic Chicken tasted a bit strange and the texture itself wasn’t very tasty. The Napa Salad itself I barely ate since it just didn’t taste that great. It’s pretty much napa with peanuts and a watery/salty sauce. For my drink, I got the Chrysanthemum Tea which I sadly regretted. The Chrysanthemum Tea tasted like it came from sewage water, yes, it was pretty bad. Overall, I really wanted to like this place since I usually enjoy Taiwanese food, but the food and drink here just didn’t even hit par for me.
