Naruko

First impression, the store is totally white and you can see any grain of dirt or dust. It was so incredibly dirty, I was appalled. But I really wanted to try the tea tree serum and had to at least give a shot.
I’m brazilian, quite tan, and do not resemble an asian whatsoever, so the treatment I got was expected but really rude.
The two girls working here stood behind the entire time I was shopping, they literally moved from one side of the store to the other with me.
I would have splurged but just felt so harassed that I just decided to grab my serum and get out of there asap.
I come back home, and check the expiration date, and my serum expires by the end of this year.
Not ok with putting old products on my skin, and for $ 27.00? That price requires fresh product, which I do not feel like they have, and I don’t think this store is going to last longer than next year.
Not coming back.

Nice store! I bought their tea tree oil and it works better than the other brands I have experienced. It is also cheaper and easier to use. I also bought a face wash, raw jobs tears gel, and this thing that helps with the marks acne leaves behind. Very nice store. It is clean and organized and you get to try the stuff they sell. It is not so crowded like most and the lady is very nice. Great Store! ;)

I love Naruko. Is affordable and nourishing for your skin. This brand is super popular in Taiwan. I honestly think that this brand is great for many different kind of skin. Because there are lines for oily skin, dry skin or anti aging! Whatever you need for your skin. You can find already customized products here.

The first time I went, I purchased 3 items and one of them was the Tea Tree Shine Control & Blemish Clear Toner and it’s a good toner. I qualified for some free samples and the salesperson offered two bottles of the same toner as samples. I already bought it, why would I want «samples» of the same item?
The first 2x I went, prices and promotions online were different from the stores. I was going to buy more products from them, even though the prices were higher, until she became very stingy with her sample products, where you had to spend over a certain amount before she’s willing to offer any tiny sample size products.
2^nd and 3^rd time was the same sales person. She is by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. She doesn’t smile and welcome you to the store when you come in. She doesn’t suggest any products or promote anything on sale. When asked about price matching to their store online, she had to confirm 3 things before she is able to continue to discuss the product: Is it Naruko? Is it Naruko Boutique? Is it for oily or dry skin?
After discussing that I recently just received the email on 03÷07÷14 about their promotion, and today is only 03÷08÷14, she said that the promotion was from 2 weeks ago, as if to imply that I was late and there’s none left. She also didn’t bother to check the prices for the face wash online. Overall, she seemed very unknowledgeable about the store’s products and promotion, as well as very rude to customers.
Service: 1 star
Products: 3.5 star, a little better than your over-​the-​counter products.
Price: 3, it’s expensive but there are sales online that are good deals (best to get them online as the store doesn’t always honor the same price nor have them in stock or offer to order them in for you)
Best to go elsewhere or shop online.

I came here when I visited Los Angelous last time; I’ve purchased quite a lot of skin and hand care. Store was very noticeable in the plaza, nearby other restaurants/​shops and convenience if you want to shop here while waiting for your table; store was clean and bright, products were well organized and easy to find what you need.
The sales lady was very nice and detail, she was telling me what promotions they were having and kind enough to give me a couple of the free samples. Too bad that the points that I have here cannot be transferred or combined with their online website; they should really consider doing this (just like Sephora, we get points when shopping both at Sephora stores and
); otherwise, it’ll be 4.5−5 stars all the way.

I made a quick stop here. Made a $ 60+ purchase. As mentioned from the previous review that u will get a free mask for $ 30 purchase. I did not get any. And I actually had to ask for a sample. And what I found out when I got home was that, the sample I got EXPIRED on Feb 2013. So it’s useless.
I will just order it online next time.

After going through a midlife crisis and deciding that my skin needed more than a quick wipe with the back of my hand –landed up here after some Internet research — apparently this Taiwanese company is well regarded for its skin care line — anyways the sales lady helped me pick out a set of lotions and potions designed to hydrate and moisturize my «mature» skin– I wasn’t quite clear on what product did what but the website has a detailed step by step guide in using everything — I did get a free mask since my purchase was over $ 30, and everything was a few dollars less than the online store — overall smelling like roses and looking fairly greasy — I wonder if I am over moisturizing? Anyways even if its all placebo effect — having fun just messing around with the stuff

I went with my friend just to get like a face wash and night cream. But Annie the lady over there was so knowledgable that she explains and customize Ye right product for us. She didn’t push us to buy alot of stuff, she actually told us to pace it and come back if we like it. Very good service.

Very nice small store… brightly lit and all the products are front-​faced and presentable :) The girl working there is very knowledgeable and tried her best to describe to me the products and their uses in English. There are a ton of products I want to try, and I love that there are so many «gel» types that are light on the skin. The BB cream (apple one) is a bit thick and doesn’t feel that great on my face, but so far I am enjoying the gel night cream (apple one). All the prices are very affordable… I can’t wait to try more of their products!

I tried the Raw Job’s Tear cream and liked that it was fragrance free and kept my skin moisturized through this dry, cold weather.

Since my last review, I’ve moved on from just using the Rose Night Gelly to other rose products, including the Rose & Snow Fungus Aqua Cubic Comple Hydrator, Complex, and Moisturizer. These products absorbed quickly into my skin making it feel hydrated without feeling congested, and when i checked in the mirror my skin was glowing without looking greasy. I would highly recommend these products to anybody who’s looking for a superior product at a fair price, and I actually wish I didn’t spend $ 500+ dollars on SKII products when I could have gotten better results for only a fraction of the price. I’m really glad I found this store. I’m definitively a bona fide Naruko addict!

So… I’m pretty much done using the Apple Seed & Tranexamic Seed Soothing White Serum and I feel the product did help fade hyperpigmentation I previously had. However, given that I’m in Taiwan right now (and have been breaking out like mad from this heat and daily outpour of sweat), I’m just darker than ever (and have more hyperpigmentation) so I feel that if you are a sufferer of acne, you can really give this product a try. It will work but you will need to religiously use it to help combat hyperpigmentation as you are still breaking out. But aside from using this and any other type of topical acne treatment or spot treatment, WEAR SUNSCREEN every single day.
Overall, I still have trust in Niu-​er and look forward to trying more of his products. I watched an interview he did with Patty Hou on Entertainment @ Azio, and this guy is extremely devoted to his products. He suffered from bad skin when he was younger, so I believe he truly knows his research and is out to give people the best products at affordable prices.

I learned about this brand of cosmetic products by watching a Taiwanese show called Queen Lady. This is a show for girls and it informs girls about beauty tips, fitness tips, fashion, and trends. One of the guests that appears frequently on the show is Nu-​er. He is really experienced and knowledgable about skin care and developed his own line of products (Naruko).
I was surprised that they have a retail store in the US. But what better place to open Naruko than in Rowland Heights, where it is heavy populated with Asians?
The salesperson was really friendly. I also really liked the design of this store. I was looking for some products that I can use at night and the sales lady introduced me to the Raw Jobs Tear night gelly. I also got Narcissus night eye gelly for my eyes. These products are all at a great value. Because I spent over $ 30 they gave me a free AMPM foam face wash as a gift!
I have been using it or several weeks and I can definitely see a difference! My skin got lighter and it is more radiant. I look forward to try other products from Naruko!

Naruko is a skin care line from Taiwan and I really like the creator of this line. I was so surprised to find a store in LA because I have watched this Taiwanese beauty show and I have always wanted to try these cosmetic products and now I have a chance to try.
When I went to the store over the weekend, I bought a couple of products that target different skin problems and area. I got a night gelly that whitens skins, lightens dark spots, and moisturize your skin, a whitening and cooling eye gelly, and a happy everyday face foam wash. I am currently trying the night gelly and I can definitely see the difference already. My skin is more radiant and lighter. I also see my freckles lightened, but I am not sure if it is because of the combination of other products I use– lancome genifique and dark spot corrector.
I liked the décor of the store as well. The design is fresh and clean, which matches the products really well. The sales person was very friendly too and not pushy at all. Whenever we had questions, she answered us right away. They also have a big screen TV by the cashier register that shows my favorite Taiwanese beauty show: Queen Lady.
Oh make sure to check in on Unilocal and get 10% off your purchase! Definitely give these products a try. They are affordable and can improve your skin! I hope Niuer (the creator of the skin care products) comes to visit this branch in LA so I can meet him!

Wow. I’m so glad I found this place. Finally an affordable skin care line that actually works! When I went in there was a girl named vita who helped me. She was very friendly and knowledgable about the product. I was looking for a product that would make my skin feel soft and that was an anti aging cream. She recommended the night jelly and I love it! At first I was a little unsure cuz it was a jelly and was thick but when I woke up in the morning my face was as smooth as a babys bottom. 8P Try it! They have awesome products that are very affordable!

What can I say?! Absolutely loving this place, all those makeup counters at the mall are not anything like Naruko. They gave me great advice on products, I finally found the right skin care products here with their friendly consultant. I also love their store design, so relaxing and warm. I will definitely recommend it to my friends. Thank you, Naruko!

i went here on a sunday afternoon with my girlfriend after eating in the plaza. its a nice place with skin care products similar to SK-​II BUT CHEAPER…
The staff is very nice. A girl named Vita helped girlfriend and even convinced her to buy stuff for herself and me. She was very informative with the products. Apparently the Naruko line is known in Taiwan.
overall a great experience… im sure my girlfriend will buy more stuff.
I have recommended this place to friends and family members and they have all bought product here and enjoyed them.

Naruko has a store in NY, and finally we have a store here in So Cal. Their products are highly recommended by Taiwanese celebrities and I always wonder if those reviews are true.
Now I have a chance to try them before buying. The store is nice and clean. Staffs are helpful and not pushy at all. Some other boutiques also carry Naruko products, but not all product lines. Buying from authorized store has better selection and receive better help on questions.
