US Post Office

BY FAR the worst customer service ever. Save yourself from ruining the rest of your day and don’t bother stepping foot into this hell hole. Like the majority of the other reviews here, this lovely review is for David, the older Chinese man with glasses who’s extremely discriminatory against non-​Chinese people. All hell broke loose when I asked to borrow some of his tape and –gasp– forgot to return it back to him. He raised his voice extremely loud and yelled «HEY IF YOU BORROWED MY TAPE YOU SHOULD KNOW TO GIVE IT BACK!!!» with the most offended look on his face. This happened in a room full of people, and was definitely unnecessary. Right after this dramatic ordeal, he was a bundle of joy with a group of Chinese customers.
Lighten up, David. The lack of professionalism is real here.

If I can give 0 star, I will. Bad customer service. I Just want to drop off a pre-​paid priority mail box. Ask for priority tape, they request u wait in a line. Then in ur turn, was told u can’t use that priority envelope, need to have box. Then got the box, was told again can’t use the medium box cuz not enough weight. And ask me to use envelope again… I have mailed several times in other USPS. Never have those weird request…

Refused to print out a receipt for drop off. Was told USPS ONLY print receipts on EBAY. My package was a 3 day priority with tracking so no receipt. That’s bullcrap.
Get your information straight USPS lady! Just because you’re lazy and didn’t feel like doing your job doesn’t mean you can make up excuses as stupid as the one you gave.
I called usps customer service right away, the call agent told me i should get a receipt for any usps package with tracking no matter if the shipping labels were printed at home or was purchase on site. The call agent suggested i should file a complaint and i did.
If these USPS clerks don’t respect and do their jobs maybe they shouldn’t be working these positions at all.
Afterall it is a customer service job, you knew that since day one when you applied for the position!
I understand everyone has their ups and downs in life but once you wear that uniform you must be able to wear the responsibilities that came with it as well. Accepting mail, selling stamps and printing out labels aren’t that hard. Please!

I only come here to drop off packages so that I don’t have to deal with the workers. I would choose to go to Brea or Hacienda if I need to be in line. I wonder if any supervisors read these reviews…

Worst customer service ever. I had a name tag that had from and to where i was sending it and he just gave me a blank tag and said go in back of the line to rewrite my name after i waited 25 mins to get up to the counter. Older man with a piece of tape on his face. So rude of him when i first came up to the counter. I don’t work at the post office and i dont know everything exactly. He pretty much raised his voice in front of everyone and made me look like a fool in front of all the people there. his name is David

First of all, I believe the old guy you are complaining is Korean, not Chinese, cuz I’m Chinese .
When I talked with him he lost patience and said some Korean that I don’t understand.
Worst attitude I’ve ever seen in us, made me angry at the beginning of a beautiful day.
I hope him dies ASAP.

Worst ever post office. Every time of the day is bad. They need to get with the times and have a machine to purchase stamps. Why do I have to wait in a long line just to buy stamps or drop off a package that already has postage on it? Ridiculous!

Can’t believe many people here are complaining about the same Chinese guy. I was literally crying in the post office because of this guy.
He overcharged me money couple weeks ago and I went to the office to look for the guy today. He was so freaking rude and didn’t willing to help my situation due to the fact that I did’t remember if he really gave the receipt (I checked the transaction online). Then, he pushed all the responsibility to me that this is my fault not to have the receipt (Honestly I don’t think everyone would check/​keep their receipts right away).
He was being so mean that I burst into tears. Then the white lady called Ana offered me to go to an office in La Punete to look for the supervisor with my bank statement. I really hope I can get back the money. If you ever go to the post office, avoid the Chinese dude who wear glasses.

HORRIBLE!!! If I had to describe the customer service professionalism and mannerisms of this office horrible would be the least of the bad words I would be using. These employees are incompetent unfriendly and really didn’t understand how to do their job. It’s a pity that the government has hire incompetent individuals like them to do important work like deliver mail. This post office should fire all the employees in this office and hire students fresh out of college that would actually do some work! I will never go here again!

I think it’s ridiculous that they don’t give a receipt for dropping off a package. The guys excuse was that too many people drop off packages so they don’t give receipts. Seriously? Sounds like laziness to me. How am I supposed to get proof that they actually took my package. I will never go back to this location again.

Based on my experience here as well as my proficiency in both English & Mandarin Chinese, I think it’s safe to say that this particular Post Office practices reverse discrimination against people that speaks English.
I’ve seen the employees being extremely helpful with people speaking Chinese, but you can see the annoyance on their faces when the next guy in line is speaking English. From what I can gather their English is good enough to be polite, but they just choose to be rude. Especially that old Chinese dude everyone seems to be talking about here on Unilocal.There is a Chinese-​speaking lady in there that’s nice though to both English and Chinese customers though

I usually go to this post office and no problems really occur to make me write a less than positive review. Now, this review isn’t for the whole location in general-it’s mainly for one worker.
I came here to upgrade a shipping label that was First Class but was too heavy to be considered that. Considering I went there before with the same problem, I thought the solution would be quick and easy. The last time I went there needing to upgrade a label, I simply had to pay the difference between the Priority and First Class label. However, I went to a different person this time and the process was much more difficult. He suggested going back home and canceling the label, which I could not do as I was not the one who generated the label. He said there was a fee of $ 11 but then proceeds to tell me that there was a cheaper way to do it by putting it in a priority mail envelope. After I chose to put my stuff in the new envelope, he told me I didn’t need to go back in line after I write the address. So I put my stuff in the new envelope and the line suddenly became rather long. I waited for him to finish with his customer, but when he was finished, he put up the «closed» sign and I assume went to break. I ended up having to back in line and waiting much more than I should have.
All in all, I was just very displeased with that one worker’s service.
I would still come back here but I will probably try to get someone else.

Very bad service. The office staffs were not helpful and not generous at giving information, even a Priority box taping which other offices will provide.

This location is by far the worst I’ve ever encountered. The employees are VERY rude. Honestly, i wish I could just lay a smack down on them lol! I will NEVER go to this location again.

Yikes. Welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth, not. People say the DMV is a nightmare but I think [any] post office is 20 times worse. There’s always a line, irate customers, and a grumpy staff member who probably started off chipper but after all the angry, nasty customers, of course they’d be less enthusiastic about being there!
The Rowland Heights Post Office is no exception. I was waiting to write this review but after having been 5 times, I think its safe to say that this is not somewhere I’d like to have to go back to soon. I should look into paying for shipping online and having it dropped off? Anything to not have to set foot in another post office.
What’s worse about this one is every time I go in, I have the unfortunate luck to have not 1 but 2 confused turned angry customer. Seriously people, HOW HARD IS IT TO WRITE THE NEEDED INFO ON ThE PACKAGE [BEFORE] YOU GET IN LINE?! I have 2 reasons for even giving this 3 stars: ample parking & the staff try to remain happy-​faced. Kudos to you guys for putting up with the bs that walks in through your doors on the daily. You couldn’t pay me enough, lol.

I’ve been here once and I must say, boy did they use this space poorly. The lines are always packed and the workers don’t seem too friendly. I mean I don’t expect them to be smiling ²⁴⁄₇ but at least try to look a little more pleasant! It felt kind of like the DMV of post office and that’s already saying enough for you to realize what I’m talking about.

I asked my dad to drop off a package and pay for first class postage with tracking.
I wrote the address by hand legible and CLEAR and I taped the label to the box before hand, I made sure the address was correct and legible 4 times before giving it to my dad.
He gave me the receipt and it was friggen sent to the wrong city!!! the lady (clerk #16) sent it to 14 220 instead of 14 420.
I did not write a unit # on the return address so its a lost cause!!! I am beyond angry!
It was an eBay transaction and luckily it was only $ 10.
Moral of this review is, everyone make sure the location is accurate before paying!!!

Tiny place, hard to find!
Thankfully this is the parking lot that is used for Buckboards Parade every year, otherwise I will be so lost and Mad.
Came here to buy holiday stamps, the staff are very friendly and nice, they patiently help customers to pack the holiday gifts and explained different level of service/​pricing.
Less people and friendly staff ;)
