Came for a soak off on my nexgen nails for a regular gel manicure to give my nails a break. The lady was speaking in Vietnamese to another nail tech about how my nails were so thin. I then asked if I should do nexgen instead (my nails were not applied with any product yet) since she was saying that. I’m fluent in Vietnamese, but I played along as if I didn’t understand anything. She started complaining in Vietnamese to the other nail technician about how she was already almost done with my nails and I wanted to change things at the last minute. The other nail technician asked if she wanted her to persuade me into staying with gel manicure. At that point I just told her it was fine because they made it such a big deal, and my nail tech then began to say (in Vietnamese) «good because I was too lazy to get everything anyways.» That probably explains why she didn’t bother buffering my nails before application nor using cuticle oil before trimming my cuticles. She soaked my hand in water for 5 minutes and starting trimming deeply, causing multiple cuts :/​
Such a shame, this place was becoming my new favorite place too.

I hate to cheat on my regular place but my feet required emergency attention. Came based on a friends recommendation somewhere close to home. So far I am no disappointed. I’m not here at a normal time (middle of the week, middle of the day). Pleasantly greeted, provided service list and away we go. Nice chairs w massage. Relaxing spa atmosphere. Reasonably priced services.

I don’t get my nails professionally done often but I love coming here when I need to get my nails done. They do allow walk ins, but sometimes it does get a bit busy, so I would suggest calling them ahead of time to see how long the wait is going to be and you can also make an appointment there too if you don’t have enough time to wait. The salon itself looks very nice and it’s calming as well. They have tv’s propped up against the walls to watch something while you’re getting a pedicure done and the seats are also massage chairs so you can get in a mini massage while getting your nails done. They do give you a complimentary drink to have while they do your nails, but I usually go for water.
The best part about this place is the service. The ladies who do your nails are such sweet ladies and they will always make sure that you’re out of the salon happy. There was a time where I was being clumsy and I smudged up one of my nails while it was drying and they made sure that it was fixed up as well as make sure everything else is perfect before leaving. Another thing is you don’t have to worry about the place being sanitary because they take every precaution to make sure that everything’s clean. The tubs for pedicures have a plastic covering for each use so when a service is over, they can throw away the used covering and replace it with a clean one. All of the supplies that they use are brand new and still in their packaging till the nail technician has to use that tool so she’ll open the packaging right in front of you.
This is such a great place to go to for your nails and their prices never change! Compared to other salons, the price is not bad at all for what comes with the service and if you don’t have that much money to get your nails done often, it’s well worth saving your money to get your nails done here.

I have never been disappointed here, in all 7 years of being a customer.
I used to come for acrylics, until Nexgen came into my life. The acrylics were always perfect, as are the Nexgen sets. Tons of Nexgen colors to choose from, and polish, and designs.
Before I had kids, I came any time of day on the weekends. It was always packed, but I never waited longer than 15 minutes. I can always go next door to McAlisters and grab a cookie or a tea to pass the time if need be. Now that I have kids, I like to come first thing in the morning, just to get it out of the way. I find coming in the morning everyone is extra cheery, and ready to work instead of griping like other places You make your own hours, don’t whine.
All supplies — files, clippers, brushes — are brand spanking new, in pretty blue packaging, they open it in front of you. T H A N K Y O U for being sanitary.
The chairs are out of this world. I can leave it on the simple full back roll setting my entire 2 hour visit and leave 100% refreshed. The pedis are the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. Pay for the sea salt pedi if you just want a basic, its worth the extra $ 4. I get a pedi with my husband every 3^rd manicure, they are polite to him as well which can be a dealbreaker if they are not. Men need clean, pretty feet too!
I have NEVER — I repeat NEVER — been overcharged. My Nexgen sets with or without tips are always 35 $ when other places like to add on 5 $ to 10 $ for tips. My pedis are always prices as quoted on the menu. I have never been hurt here, cuts happen, it’s part of being a woman and getting your nails done. The occasional nicks happen, not bad enough to make me unhappy.
Front desk is always cheery, never ever ever ever rude. I appreciate the smiles, and I appreciate that they always ask if you like it. If you don’t, they do ask if there’s anything they can do. It’s an important service you pay for, you should leave happy!
I come twice a month, I’ll be back in 2 weeks!

I don’t get my nails done very often. Come to think of it the last time was before my wedding. Twice in one year — man I feel so fancy.
With the Christmas classical piano music, the gentle sounds of running water from the waterfalls on each wall, and the chair that knows how to massage — this place knows how to give you a calming experience.
My mom and I had Sam and Van who both did a great job on our manicures. Van was my nail technician and I liked how she would ask for my approval on how it looked before moving on to the next step.
What I found out after we were done was that they normally do offer you a drink (anywhere from water to alcoholic) while you’re getting pampered. Just a little extra icing on the cake.

I tried a new place today and was so impressed I had to write this review!
So clean & sanitized. tools were individually wrapped before use, new liners in each of the pedicure foot tubs, & even new emery boards, which you don’t always see. Michelle and Nancy pampered me from the moment they offered me a drink to the moment I walked out the door.
I asked for something special for Christmas as they delivered! And they are true perfectionists, they both were not letting me leave, until the quality was just right!
I am definitely going back, this is my new place! And i am recommending Oscars to anyone!

the absolute best services, staff, and prices. will never go somewhere else!(: I have never been disappointed with my nails. I’m a bit clumsy and always manage to smudge mine within 10 seconds of getting them done, but there always so nice and help me out.

Today was my first visit and I will be back! Everyone was professional and courteous. Very reasonable prices. I had forgotten that tomorrow is Mothers Day. It was very busy but they took care of me in a reasonable time. So glad I have found a new salon.

This is the one and only nail salon I will go to for any and every salon service you could need. I am a regular at this location and my usual beauty regimen includes nails (gel mani and full set), spa pedicure, and an occasional eyebrow waxing. I can’t recall ever being unhappy or not satisfied with the services Oscar’s has provided. Their consistent quality and attention to detail has made me a regular over the years. Growing up in Rowlett I can honestly say I have tried most of the nail salons in the area and not one tops this place. Definitely will continue being my local «go to».

They did a great mani and pedi for me and my daughter. The only negative thing is they talk way too much to one another. They start talking in their language and look at the other nail techs and start laughing. Like they were gossiping about one another. Not professional at all. They talk more to one another and every once in a while you’re asked «you ok» or do you want to add another service. A lot of nail salons do the same thing. Need major customer service training.

Best pedicure I have ever had. Sara is amazing. Very clean. Relaxing atmosphere. Free drink! I will be back!

I had been searching for a new nail spa after the lady I was going to for the past five years quit. I tried several places and always came out disappointed… until I came here. Yahoo! Finally a permanent place for me to go to! The owner is so sweet and accommodating and the nail techs have been awesome! Shout out to Tina and Tony (yes, for real and no, no wedding cake)! I definitely recommend this place. Now, if you’re looking for a quiet and not very busy place then this may not be the place for you during the weekend but I see it like this… busy=they are doing something right.

Seriously this place is like a loud barn and totally not a relaxing salon. We felt like cattle going from one place to another and way too many people. Adults keep your darn kids at home! 99 percent of us dont want to hear them. Two friends ended up with toe infections. So all this hype is not accurate. Price is too high and do you really think your water was free… n quality sucks, fills started chipping off. Learn English why is that so hard? Is it pretty sure it is but I would say you cant tell plastic glass from real glass if you think that lol looks are deceiving ladies and so is sterilized items. Does anyone check out what city n health inspections say… sheesh look into it!

Love this nail salon. Not too «spa» like because always busy and sort of loud, but the people working are the sweetest and the price is awesome.
I can get a pedicure with hot rock massage for like $ 35. The manicure and pedicure always look great and leave my feet soft for days!

Love love this place! They pay attention to the small and big details. My toe nails require special cutting and they always remember. No matter how busy they are, I always feel like I am the only client.

Oscar Nails and Spa was very busy during the middle of the day on a Tuesday which I thought was crazy. It’s both good and bad. Good because you know they are great at what they do if they’re busy during that time but bad because I like my peace and quiet when getting my nails done.
The nail techs were very nice and offered wine and cokes while getting my mani/​pedi. Although they were swamped, I was able to get a seat in less than 5 minutes.

I just got a pedicure this time around, as I tend to do the gel nails and didn’t like the last place I tried.
Went after 6, and was pleasantly surprised to see that they are open late.
Pedicure was nice… my technician didn’t try to talk to me a lot, which is how I prefer it. And two weeks later, the polish is still chip free.
I’m headed back soon for the gel nails… will update.
Update: have done the gel nails twice now. They will actually just do a new polish for $ 10 less. It means no cuticle clipping or massage, but they will still file and trim the nail. Definitely nice to just do the polish change every other visit and save the money. I also did a polish change on the toes, and saved the cost of a full pedicure. Definitely worth that too. I’m very happy with this place.

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. This nail spa is yet to disappoint me! I’ve only gone twice, but twice is was wonderful. The people are friendly, and they do an excellent job on my nails! I even went in with a custom design my friend drew and they got it down exactly how I wanted it!
And they really aren’t that expensive!
