History

Established in 2010.

Gallery U Boutique is an extension of Universal Institute, a rehabilitation facility that services adults with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). The venue serves as a vocational training program whose goal is to introduce people with TBI back into the work force and community. Clients at Universal Institute take part in all aspects of running Gallery U Boutique including: promotion of events, inventory, completing transactions, checking and responding to emails, customer service, social media and more. In addition to these tasks, vocational therapy is conducted in our workrooms.

Almost 25 years ago, Jerry and Lisa Lasso founded Universal Institute, Inc., a rehabilitation center in Livingston, NJ treating people with traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries and other neurological conditions. His philosophy of «never say never» and offering a positive environment is one of the things that makes us stand out as an agency. In our business our clients are the center of our universe.
