Have been going here off and on for the past 30 years. Have ALWAYS experienced good treatment and a knowledgeable, helpful staff.

I decided to give this place another try. I was treated much better this time than previous visits. I’ll likely go back and hope for the same customer service.

I’ve always been able to find what I’m looking for at Nutri-Foods, and the staff have always been very helpful. Even on Saturdays, they don’t seem too busy. They are a local small business, but honestly, I did not notice a huge difference in prices from Whole Foods. I usually only purchase vitamin supplements and protein shakes, which I’m sure have a lower price-point because they sell more of those products. They have a great location — right across the street from the Royal Oak farmers market, so it’s quite convenient to stop in here.

I stopped in yesterday to pick up tea and vitamins. Prices were higher then I normally pay at other stores but I was short on time so I was going to buy it anyway UNTIL I got to the register and THERUDESTMAN rang up my order. I decided to walk out without my products and will NEVER walk in again! Do yourself a favor drive the extra four miles and shop elsewhere!

What’s going on with these reviews here? They have to be fake. For one, this place has INSANELYHIGH prices. Roughly 20−25% more than Whole Foods, and well over double the price of most online vendors. Even the HFS in Berkley is about 10−15% less. Let’s get one thing straight, everything here costs a whole lot more than anywhere else. The staff is sort of rude in a strange way. They have a know-it-all mentality, but in general they have no clue about real herbal remedies, such as traditional chinese medicine, and other things. For the ‘basics’ they know, anything else they likely have no clue.

I love Nutri-Foods! The staff is always warm and friendly, and extremely knowledgable about their products. I stopped in for the first time months ago to pick up a multi-vite, and I was impressed to see the selection that they have available. Everything from organic, natural cereals to a wide assortment of teas, to bottles upon bottles of vitamins. I also use only cruelty-free bath products, and they have a decent selection of things like JaSon, castille soap, and Avalon Organics to choose from. They have a great selection of essential oils, as well. Everything is decently priced, too. They carry various brands from high end vitamins, to your basic vitamins that are well within a budget range(anywhere from $ 5.00 — $ 15.00). The thing I love most about Nutri-Foods, though, is the fact that they are a local business. I love being able to stop and patronize a local business that has a great selection of all the things I need to nourish my inner hippie!

Really explored this place well for the first time today, although I’d visited once or twice before. I wasn’t expecting such great selection and great pricing in such a small shop. Helpful, friendly staff. I’m going to be visiting this place often!

This place has become a staple in our organic/natural products shopping. The staff is always helpful but not intrusive, they always have good recommendations. If they don’t have something you want they are more then willing to help you find something comparable or order it for you. The selection is HUGE. They have recently renovated to improve the flow and set-up of the store. I drive from the other side of town because they always have what I need for a reasonable price and I think its important to support local businesses(they have been around since the 1950s). Check it out you wont regret and your body will thank you:)

I enjoy shopping here. I always get rockstar parking, Its smaller then whole foods which I enjoy to be in and out. There is a bike rack outside incase you feel riding your bike there. The place seems always busy with people coming in to buy a few things on there walk. Prices are moderate to high, but any organic health store probably is. I find pretty much everything I look for that most grocery stores wouldn’t have. Large selection of stuff, foods, vitamins and health skin care products and brands so you really need to do your homework of research, and planning before you come here to prevent time delay and confusion since the staff has some what good knowledge of the right items to purchase. They give you a punch card, so when you make a purchase of 50 or 100 bucks the specific card gets punched so you save a small fraction of cash after you spend a fortune after 10 times, you must have it in your wallet at all times to avoid missing a punch though. Could I please buy the puncher?

I do like Nutri-Foods for their amazing selection of organic and hard to find natural products. I can’t give them 5 stars because I find some of their pricing to be too high. Example: I can get royal jelly for a whole dollar less at Whole Foods(same brand, size, everything.)(Whole Fods=Whole Paycheck)

This place is great! I can’t believe I’m only the 3rd review. I’m not sure of anything they don’t have! Organic produce, soaps, great teas, and every pill on the face of the earth. The staff are really great and are never intrusive but always helpful. My doctor told me to start taking charcoal of all things and not only did they have it they have several varieties of it. Considering you are buying quality I don’t think the prices are expensive. Sometimes I’ll just walk around in there looking at some of the craziest foods random things I’ve ever seen.

Nutri-Foods is a small local business that’s been around since the 1950’s. They have always been a valuable source of healthy food and supplements for the community. I frequent this store a couple times a month and it’s always good to see that they are still thriving. I can always count on Craig or another member of their staff to educate me whenever I have a question about a supplement’s effects or intended usage. It’s hard to walk out of there with just one item, true. They have so many great natural products! Not only food and vitamins… soaps, essential oils, teas, water, etc, etc… It’s great to have a place that I can go to where I can buy stuff that is good for me and support the local community by doing so. I hope they stick around for another 50!

I used to live in Royal Oak and Nutri-foods has been my go to place for all those little healthy/natural oddities you can’t find anywhere else. Sometimes i go there, just buy a protein bar, and i end up leaving with a basket of goodies. The knowledgeable staff can educate you on natural remedies, and i’ve come to trust their judgement from tips to quitting smoking to what to stay away from when eating. This place holds a place in my heart, thank you for all the wonderful advice!

For those of you that are trying to stay healthy and for those of you that are trying to get healthy, Royal Oak’s Nutri Foods is the one stop shop to either maintain or begin a lifestyle that promises many years to come. Located in the downtown shopping district, this paradise of vitamins, supplements, and groceries is just the place to go if you need that natural pick me up. Nutri Foods has a wide selection of herbs, vitamins and supplements, so if it’s Potassium, Black Cohosh, or pills for protein, come check this store out. In addition, Nutri Foods has a extensive grocery section that includes gluten free groceries, vegan products, teas, Amy’s Organic items and snacks to name a few. They also have a small library of health themed books available for purchase and a wide variety of beauty products from lotions to soaps to shampoos.
