These guys are very friendly and fair. Leroys has a very decent price for ski rentals with decent rental equipment. They also have quick wax and filing service plus other winter items in their stores.

I stopped here to get last minute bindings for my board. This was Friday 2⁄6. There were 2 young guys working. They both were very helpful and set up my board that I bought the bindings for. They also set up my kids boards. They didn’t have to. They were awesome with my son who was snowboarding for his first time. Gave him tips and pointers. They both made him feel good and he had confidence hitting the mountain the next day. Thank you guys! I would stop here again. And I would recommend this place to anyone who needs rentals or purchases.

$ 2 coupon online! Awesome price for rental skis if you are going to Big Bear or Snow Valley! Quality maintained skis, boots and poles for $ 14.50 kids and $ 17.95 adults. Get the $ 2 accident protection option just in case when conditions are poor(low snow, dirt, rocks)… Well worth it to keep from being charged and questioned! Have been here 3 times now and have had friendly staff service, great selection, perfect accessories we forgot(hats, gloves, lip balm, snow goggles, etc…

Been to many shops that sell merch near by the Mt, but this is by far my favorite store. Waxing is cheap and super quick. They are all laid back guys and are willing to answer any question. If you want rentals, a quick wax or get info on anything in regards to the slopes and where to go… Then don’t forget to stop here.

Drove up to Big Bear to do some skiing today. I was planning on just renting at the resort but my dad suggested I check this place out because that’s where he always went. I now understand why. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They really know what they are doing there and ensure you’re getting exactly what you need. As for the price it can’t be beat. It was $ 17.50 for skis, poles and boots plus $ 2 for insurance in case anything got damaged. I walked in got what I needed and was on my way. Plus since I already had my rentals I was able to start skiing as soon as I bought my lift ticket. I’ll be coming back here for now on.

Been coming here since I was a toddler many many years ago. Always been really great about customer service, recommendations, sizings. While the entire crew changes every so often, the atmosphere is great, and you get fair prices at a place you can always trust. I think they have so many more branches around big bear now, but this one is on the way to snow valley, which for season ticket holders saves half an hour and then an hour of pain when everyone is leaving.

Thank you Mike for giving me the opportunity to give this place a good review. Great customer service Mike at this specific location. If you didnt know this there are dozens of «Leroy’s» all up along the mountain. Why did I stop specifically here? I dont know but Im glad I did. My friends needed to borrow a board and boots. We were greeted with happy faces and they helped out my friends immediately. Mike chit chatted with us while he was getting everything handled which i thought was pretty cool. He gave us some tips and tricks. Anyway, they have great sale items in the back up to 50 percent off. Make sure you check them out. They pretty much have everything you need their store just in case you might have forgotten a glove or your face mask at home. Man, writing about snowboarind is making want to go right now. Who’s down? P.S. I’m sorry about the picture i took which is now the main pic for this place. I swear I wasnt trying to be artsy. It was totally an accident.

Service: 5 Convenience: 4 Value: 5 Bottom line: Save yourself some trouble and stop in here before you get to Bear or Snow Valley. If they don’t have it I’m sure they can find out if the one in Bear has it. They will take care of you and you wont get crap like from other shops. Snowboarding is not cheap so I always say if I’m going to throw down cash it better go to people i actually like. Back story: First time in this LeRoys. We usually hit the other one on the way into Big Bear. This one is half the size and so is the parking lot. I always notice it but never had any reason to stop in until today. A screw backed out of my son’s binding strap and Burton Cust Serv told me to check with a shop. I’m always leery of going into a shop were they employ teenagers and young adults. I enjoy the«you’re wasting my time» or «I’ll get to you once i finish my text» attitudes i get in board, moto or other shops. As we walked in, I braced for the worst and… wait what was that? How am I doing? Yeah right! Like you care! «Great, how about yourself?» I respond. Normally, this is were i get annoyed and i hear crickets. Bueller? Bueller? But, no I get an actual courteous response back. Dang it. Now i have nothing to be pissed about. Anyway, long story long. I get the screw and a machine wax for my sons board and we’re done. The guy even included a step that most place leave out — he buffed it after the wax. Is there a hidden camera around here? Or maybe I’m a bit jaded. Nah can’t be me. I just don’t trust people who breathe in clean air on a regular basis.

So, I’ve never been snowboarding. Maybe it’s because I’m afraid of falling on my ass so much I won’t be able to walk for days… or getting run over by ten-year-old boys who could whoop my ass snowboarding any day of the week. But, I’ve always had a curiosity about it… like… what’s the big fuss? If everyone’s doin it… I should be too, right? (internal monologue: Yeah. hurtle down a mountain on a board… sounds like a blast.) But, curiosity got the best of me and I was determined to go against all my common sense and try it. Only, I didn’t have pants. Well, I had PANTS… but not… snowboarding pants. You can’t very well snowboard in jeans… that’s just nooottt a good plan. I’ve had jeans soaked with snow before. and lemme tell you, it’s NOT fun. So, the adventure began… the search for snowboarding pants.(because, dammit, while I’ll rent a board, I will not rent PANTS for ten dollars, with someone else’s ball/vagina sweat… THANKS). So we hit up Leroy’s in Big Bear… and the cheapest pair of pants they had there were $ 70, and fit me funny… and I was having a difficult enough time investing in a pair of pants for a sport I may hate… they had to fit funny??? I don’t think so… So after trying several pairs of pants on… one of the clerks in BB LeRoy’s tells us… «Oh, you guys should go to the Running Springs store, they have last year’s stuff, but it’s all 50% off» So I left the multitude of pants in the dressing room and we hauled ass down the hill a bit to Running Springs… Went to the first LeRoys — nope, not it… it’s NEXT door… so, it’s the one next to the gas station… Racks of snowboarding gear filled the store… and all with those magical orange sale stickers… After a bit of digging, I was able to find a pair of Burton snowboarding pants that originally retailed for $ 140… on sale for $ 50… Basic black, nothing flashy… and they FIT me how they were supposed to. I also picked up a pair of cute gloves and some snowboarding socks… and got out of there for less than $ 100… The guy who worked there was SUPER friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the day I planned on learning, it rained… so… my snowboarding pants, gloves and socks will have to wait until next time :( And next time, we’ll probably make another stop at LeRoy’s on our way up…
