My favorite sandwich place in Rutland. Ever since the new people bought it, it’s turned a new leaf. It’s not like walking into a dark dungeon anymore. The shop is very clean, bright, and the staff are generally friendly.
You can’t beat the prices. You get a ton of meat on the sandwiches. They don’t have as many toppings as some other places, but they carry the main stuff. I wish they had avacados.
Try a popper (pepper stuffed with real cheese and ham, kept in awesome olive oil). They’re $ 1.
I always stock up on yesterday’s rolls. I think I get a bag of 12 for a buck and freeze them. They make great garlic bread.

The best turkey sub around! They are not shy with the amount of meat they put on, the bread is always fresh and I must say that the cabbage is a lovely substitute for the lettuce. Maxie’s is always my first choice for an inexpensive but mighty tasty sub!
