Luxus Salon

I hadn’t had a haircut in over a year, so I Unilocaled one in my area and with the scarce results, Luxus was at the top. I called for an appointment, and they booked me for that same day. I had to bring my 2 year old son, which I was worried about – he is not always well-​behaved. No problem! Lori washed and cut my hair. She was SUPER sweet to my little boy, and gave him some clips and brushes to play with. (I had forgotten to bring toys).
I have curly, wild hair, and because of it, I am very wary about anyone touching it – hence the yearlong wait. I gave her a very vague and brief description of what I wanted. She cut it, and blew it out. It looked great, but my hair isn’t naturally straight, so I waited it out until I could see it in its natural state.
My hair looks great ! It has so much volume, and not nearly as many split ends as I had before I went to see her. She’s a keeper.
I should also mention:
There is a young man who works there who was at the chair next to Lori’s and the woman he was attending to walked out with a great looking, very sassy cut with amazing highlights. It looks like Luxus is just a great salon overall.

I came in without any expectations (only one previous review on Unilocal) and came out happy and will be returning as a repeat customer. I had Lori cut my hair and she was very sweet and cut my hair to my exact specification (I’m very picky about who does what to my hair). The best part was the price — you can’t beat a shampoo, condition, cut and blow out for $ 45 + tip. There is plenty of parking around the building and the salon itself is small but cute. Just make sure you bring cash, they don’t let you put tip on the credit card.

The owner is actually a client of my mother’s so I’m always a little weary when a situation like this occurs because I had been trying to find a new hairdresser and she offered her card. I have to say I was not disappointed… she listens, she suggests, she’s gentle and its a fun little salon in this massive looking business building that you wouldn’t expect being there.
Every time she cuts my hair it starts to grow like weeds and I love Rosa for that… definitely check it out! She’ll chat you up a bit and tell you a little about her son and such but she’s a sweetie.
