A Simple Way to Move!

I’ve been meaning to leave this for some time. Moved January 31^st. Guys were early to the house — which was remote. Both men were polite and efficient. The job actually cost me less than then initial quote! Nothing broken or scratched.

A Simple Way to Move moved my belongings from Citrus Heights to South Lake Tahoe on January 10^th. Being Far Less Stressful, and at a quite reasonable cost, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering a move. Andre and Geronimo are true artisans; carefully handling everything while being quick & efficient. Their rapport and sense of humor was a Huge Bonus, offsetting most of the anxiousness of moving. Brian was also a pleasure to deal with, seeming like an ‘old friend’ from the start. The willingness to be flexible on timing around weather, the distance, and start-​to-​end changes was quite refreshing. Being charged by the hour, rather than the job, given the efficiency of movement and honest work-​ethic of the team, managed to save me a good deal over what I’d been quoted by other movers. A Simple Way to Move is an understatement as named. { though aptly named as «A Simple, Efficient, Reasonably Priced, simply Excellent!, and Pleasant perhaps even to the point of being Fun», might be a little too long of a name to list. } This is Easily the BEST Moving Experience to be had, period! = Andre. Brian, Geronimo, THANK You AGAIN! It truly was a Pleasure dealing with you. (Made me want to join the team, & miss my days as a ‘Roadie’)

Burrel and Ryan did an excellent job of moving us. They were prompt, courteous and very efficient. I would recommend A Simple Way to Move to any of my friends and family. When I called and left a message to get a quote, Brian called me back right away and the rate of $ 100 an hour plus a fee of $ 40 was very reasonable. We scheduled our move and I got a confirmation text the day before. They were at our house on time and went to work right away. They took desks apart that wouldn’t fit through doors and then put them back together for us at our new house. Everything made it to the new house in perfect condition, including our piano and glass top dining table. They even helped us load a dumpster with beds and couches. All this in only 5 hours!

This is the second time I used A Simple Way to Move. The moving crew was awesome both times. For each of the moves we had a two man crew with a 24ft truck. They arrived on time, although they were a little directionally challenged (not knowing streets or landmarks), and were very effective movers. It would have been nice to see a little more hustle from the movers in loading and unloading the truck, but they completed the move and were only an hour over the estimated time quoted by the owner. The extra hour was understandable given that we moved into an apartment with three sets of stairs and we couldn’t park the truck directly in front of the entrances at both locations. The movers were very considerate of our fragile furniture, though we did have to unexpectedly ask them to pad some things in the truck. The cost is reasonable, and it was an easy process to schedule their help. One suggestion we have is to offer to accept credit card payments, but we understand that may increase the overall service charge. Bottom line, we would use them again to move.

This is my second time hiring movers. These guys were very courteous, strong & professional. I was particularly impressed with the care they gave to my home and my belongings. Unlike my last movers, nothing touched the walls (and they moved our commercial treadmill from upstairs in the old house, to upstairs in the new house). I was trying to cut cost (we have a lot of stuff), so I rented a 16′ truck thinking that we would pack it ourselves, and avoid having to make two trips from Elk Grove to Lincoln. We only had our truck half full when the movers arrived. They quickly rearranged my disorganized packing and made a lot more space. Afterwards, they packed my 16′ truck and their 26′ truck in record time. Amazing. These guys seemed as if they really loved their job, and it shows. I’m very happy that we chose this company. We will definitely be referring them to all of our friends and family.

I had my move today and I was soooo impressed with Geronimo and Daniel!!! They were fast! Friendly! Funny! Kept me informed! They made this move experience one of my best!!! I researched moving companies here on Unilocal and found A Simple Way to Move! After reading hundreds of reviews I felt confident that these were our guys.
Initial call: I spoke with Brian and he was very straight-​forward about the cost; $ 100 an hour, three hour minimum, two guys, and $ 40 for round trip gas. Simple and clear.
One day before the move I received a confirmation text with the details for the following morning. Great, were all set.
Morning of the move: Daniel and his colleague showed up exactly on time at 8:00am, did a walk-​through and started moving and loading. It took them two hours to get everything from my two bedroom in the truck and we were off to the new house.
Arrival at the new house: Again, we did an initial walk-​through and they got right to work.
We did have a few issues with a desk that was broken on-​site during the move and a few areas on the walls that got the paint scrapped off, but these things sometimes happen when moving as everyone knows. Daniel came to me right away and notified me of the damaged desk and said, «I am sorry this is our fault and we will fix it.» I told him it was okay and not to worry, this is what insurance is for.
Above and beyond: The move went great! The guys worked fast and had good attitudes the entire time. I contacted Brian regarding the paint issues and the damaged desk and he assured me that they would take care of everything. They reimbursed us for the price of a new desk and Coleman, the company owner and painter by trade, came over personally and spot-​painted the paint areas along the path the movers had taken and hit the walls.
I would highly recommend A Simple Way to Move! They have a great team and a work ethic that is challenging to find these days.

What a great group of guys. They made a stressful time for me seem quite easy. They finished exactly when they said they would, so there was no overage. The service was so impressive, I’ll be using them again soon!!!

Scheduled a move at the last minute and Brian was able to fit me in their busy schedule. Called them a day before and asked if they could come a little bit later as I still had some things to take care of in the morning and Brian was more than willing to accommodate.
Movers were efficient and respectful, would definitely recommend their service.

This was my first time hiring professional movers, and I’m extremely happy my housemate and I chose this company. The movers, Ivan and Andre, were very friendly, professional, and accommodating to our requests. They had no problem stopping to four different locations to assist us with packing and unpacking all of our items. They were also very patient with us. On one of our moves, we had to wait an hour to get items out of storage because our gate key wouldn’t work, but the storage company wouldn’t open for another hour. The movers waited with us and also didn’t charge for the time they had to wait… even though it would have been reasonable to do so, IMO. Scheduling was also very simple and efficient, thanks to the owner Brian. The entire staff was also very personable and down to earth.
I HIGHLY recommend this company for any moves that need to be done, big or small!

I’ve worked with this business twice. The first time, the movers (Steve and Andre) moved my mother from Ceres to Sacramento. They were professional and polite, and very, very hardworking. They simplified what could have been a very difficult move.
The second time was a little more difficult. However, I told Brian (the owner) of my concerns, and he went out of his way to make things right. He not only reimbursed me a portion of the cost because the movers had gotten lost, he also paid for a new bookshelf because I couldn’t locate the shelf pins (removed by the movers during moving). He sent his cousin, Coleman, to take care of business, and Coleman was kind and understanding. When Coleman left, he even gave me a hug.
«A Simple Way to Move» is an appropriate title for this company. I will definitely be using this service in the future.

Arrived on time, very courteous, well supplied. I never worried about my belongings. We had Ivan, Burrel, and Daniel. These guys are experts and when we have to move again I am definitely going to call them! It was well worth the money and they made short work of a 3 bedroom house and garage space (3 hours flat). They did things that I wouldn’t even have thought to do to protect our stuff (For example, don’t rest a TV on it’s stand when you move it). I highly recommend this company.

WOW! These guys were amazing! Anyone that can move a 300lb old tube TV down a flight of stairs is my hero. These guys are fantastic! They moved us very quickly and we even had quite a few laughs. They made sure that everything was where we wanted it, even moved some things when we changed our minds, and that we didn’t need anything further before they left. I couldn’t have asked for a better move!

These guys did a great job. I was pretty nervous about hiring a moving company and checked out as many as possible. The two guys that showed up were cool, personable, and made the move easy. I would definitely hire them again.

I’ve never hired movers before, but I can’t say enough good things about these guys. I toyed with the idea of doing a Uhaul/​Friends, but when I heard the initial price quote, I figured I wouldn’t save that much money by doing it myself, plus I saved the hassle.
It was really easy to schedule, they showed up on time, and really made efficient use of their time in moving me from Fair Oaks to San Ramon. Brian was easy to contact via text, and gave a detailed explanation of how things worked.
I would recommend these guys to any friends who want to hire movers.

I needed help last minute in 100+ degree heat, and the two movers were fast, friendly yet professional and careful while unloading my moving truck into a storage unit! I will be using A Simple Way to Move again.

I was a little worried about movers that charge by the hour versus a flat fee. But they quickly remove that fear. They hustled and if they weren’t sure-​they asked before doing something.
They lived up to the name– A Simple Move– YES it was and very reasonable.

I found A Simple Way to Move on Unilocal and the reviews don’t lie! These guys were FABULOUS!
I needed a large bedroom set moved from my mom’s house to mine about 8 miles away and was quoted a price of $ 285. The price included 2 movers for 3 hours at $ 85/​hour plus $ 30 for gas and mileage. The contract also stated that the contents were fully insured which made me feel better just in case something was damaged. This company was up front and honest with the costs — no hidden fees and no surprises.
They met me at my mom’s house and actually beat me there which I REALLY appreciated because I’m a little bit of punctuality nut. I wasn’t sure what type of people to expect because, and I apologize for saying this, sometimes movers can seem a little scary.
Jarrell and Eric worked together like a fine-​tuned machine. They were positive, friendly and helpful. When they took the bed and dresser apart they even put the screws in a labeled plastic bag for me. That made it really easy to put things back together.
I called 3 – 4 places before I went with these guys — the other companies either charged a lot more or I didn’t get a good feeling from them over the phone. What really blew my mind is that not only did A Simple Way to Move do a great job but they were also the least expensive!
If you need something moved I wouldn’t go with anyone else!

Over three years in our duplex, we managed to accumulate as much stuff as several families combined. So when we moved to our house we were under no illusions that a professional moving team would me necessary.
Enter A Simple Way To Move. They appealed to us because they were both friendly and helpful on the phone, spelling out costs, what supplies were needed and timelines. They showed up in the morning and worked pretty much straight through for about six hours. The two fellas who came out did a good job of making sure everything got from point A to B in tact. They discussed with us ahead of time the strategies for moving big pieces in and out of the house, which I super appreciated.
My only criticism was that they sent two movers to do a job which, as I explained on the phone, was more probably more appropriate for three or four. It made things take longer than they should have and it cost more as a result. Still, these guys were so good that they made the whole process a breeze.
