I had dinner with my friend here and it was a good experience. We ordered 3 different rolls, 6 pcs of nigiris, fresh oysters, spicy edamame, Apple juice, and mochi Ice cream. The bill came out to about 74 dollars. The flavors were good, portion is big, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nicely decorated. The restaurant was packed when we got in. But the service was quick and we got our food pretty fast too. The reason for 5 stars is because the service and I appreciate the restaurant for staying open until late. If you are a person who works until late and have a craving for some sushi this is the place to go.

Pretty good sushi for 50% off. Be careful because some of the specialty rolls are not half-off, and the waiters don’t warn you when you order. Still an overall pretty good deal. My favorites are the Macho, Lucky 7, and the lobster lover. Rolls are not packed with rice, and had decent amount of cut fish. Service was decent, although waiters seemed overwhelmed at times. Interior is clean and pleasant. I’ll be back!

i think it’s funny how people make so much of the customer service here. Almost every asian restaurant I’ve ever been to has had mediocre customer service. It has something to do with the fact that they view customer service differently than americans. It’s not necessarily bad just different. I’ve been here dozens of times and never had bad service. I hate to say it but I do think some people on here expect a red carpet and if they get anything less take pleasure in expressing their displeasure here. as people have said this isn’t the best sushi in town but it gets a solid ‘B’ and for a cheapskate like me the prices are great. there is a wide variety of rolls and yes it is probably more catering to the white folks but it’s still good. there’s definitely no need to drown your rolls in extra sauce but you will see plenty of frat-boys doing just that. on the whole I like this place a lot and though I try other sushi places regularly, Arigato is my go-to.

Their rolls are not bad and I love how they stay open late. From what it looks like, they’ve remodeled ! Their service could be better. Their fish didn’t taste as fresh as I would’ve liked it to but hey, you get what you pay for so shut your mouth, Monica ! I love spicy tuna and the rolls I ordered that contained spicy tuna tasted exactly how spicy tuna should taste like. Kudos for that! I ordered their stuffed mushrooms and can honestly say it tasted better than mikuni’s flaming shrooms which is actually one of my favorite dishes. This place has many similarities to sushi hook but if I were to choose, Arigatos seems to be much better in my opinion. Overall, this place is A ok and I probably would come back to try more rolls !

The food was very good. As they all say, the rolls are 50% off. The Macho roll is really good. I loved it. I got the sexy roll and the Miss Philly roll which were okay. I could have chose a better sushi roll. After devouring all the yummy rolls, I ordered a Green Tea ice cream. The portion size could feed at least 2 people which was very good for $ 3.50. Now.I would give it a 2 star rating because of a waiter that I saw. I am not sure if he took their food handlers card or what not but as I was observing him, I saw him touch his eye boogers, rubbed his mouth, scratched his nose, THEN he took someone’s order and brought it to their table. That’s the most disgusting thing I’ve seen. He should have washed his hands. I will probably come here for the sushi but I will observe the waiters/waitresses hand movements before they serve my food.

Okay, my review needs an update for sure. Service here is always just a-ok, but nothing spectacular. It is always dark in this restaurant, so I wouldn’t recommend going on a blind date or a first date here or something. It’s kind of hard to see, and everyone you look at just looks extra tired because dark circle are super emphasized in this lighting. Onto the food — It’s not like the best quality of fish in the world, but it’s acceptable. It’s super sauced, crazy stuffed with ingredients kind of rolls. And it’s cheap. 50% off all the time. So whenever I’m feeling like I want sushi but don’t wanna pay premium sushi prices, I like this spot. You do get what you pay for.

Arigatos is great when it comes to the quality of their sushi. The interior is urban and really comforting. Food deserves 4 stars. The service on the other hand is a whole different story. I hate to say it but the hostess and waitresses are the worst. Mainly the older women. They’re so rude. They literally puff and roll their eyes when you ask for unagi sauce. They need to let the younger people take over. They’re so much more energetic and happy. One star for the service.

Living in Reno, I haven’t been to a non-AYCE sushi place in probably six or seven years. It makes me a little nervous walking into a pay-as-you-go place, wondering how much of the downpayment on a house I’m going to spend in sushi during that meal. Luckily, Arigato is one of the many sushi restaurants that participates in the 50% off rolls, so the damage to your bank account isn’t as bad as expected. We tried most of the rolls with a pepper next to them in the menu(we were a spicy table), and they were all delicious. Very well presented, and the fish and vegetables inside were obviously fresh. The turnaround on their product is quick and that shows in the quality and freshness of their fish. The fish, while cold, was not so cold that it masked the flavor, which is so important. The edamame was good and well-salted, and the service was good. My eating companions mentioned that Arigato is crazy busy all of the time, so it’s a good idea to check them out at an off time so that you’re sure to get a seat without waiting.

Mommy told me not to go. But my boy Tom and Mr Whitefolks was in town slaying some hoes and also making Kym Anh air tight and just right. My jeans were a little high but not to tight. I had a rectum roll and how do you say an asshole Ching Chong Ching Chong. Next thing I know Mike Tyson comes in with Bruce Bruce and everyone said Hey Hitler. Next time I will go somewhere else most likely on the 100s block. They don’t even have any BIKES!!! and don’t even know who Big Daddy Kane is!!!’

I am literally writing this review from the toilet. Their sushi will take you to brown town and you’ll never come back. I would rather go up to Bill Cosby’s room for coffee than eat here.

This place has the worst customer service ever. Really rude staff. Which would be tolerable if the food were good. But it’s not. Do yourself a favor and go to Mana or Taro’s.

Warning: This is NOT a poly and bi friendly establishment. My mommy also developed an Asian accent after we ate here. She can’t stop speaking in broken English. Can someone explain this! I’d rather move to the Midwest(ew) than eat here again

Docked off 3 stars b/c their service today was horrible! Came in for lunch and the older woman at the front didn’t even look up or greet us-we stood there awkwardly, waiting at the front desk, while she kept counting dollars. Next, she seated some people who came AFTER us first, and had the nerves to argue that they came first. Even other customers were shocked and stated that we came in first. Then the waitress(younger female) didn’t even take our order correctly! We waited forever for our Pepper Fin just to find out it wasn’t even put in! I guess the waitress was in a rush to go home, b/c she left soon after taking our order, smh! Needless to say, today was the FIRST time I left w/o tipping at Arigato! This is so disappointing, given how much I liked this place prior to this horrific experience! STEPUPYOURCUSTOMERSERVICEGAME, Arigato! Although their sushi was good, their lack of customer service soured everything for us. Whoever the owner is, learn to value customer service and hire people who can treat customers w/respect. I’m already on the hunt for other and better sushi joints in Sac.

Good sushi if don’t mind be in line for 10 – 30 mins at busy times — at reasonable price, my favorites are Lucky 7 and Lion King. Will come back for more.

Found this gem over 2 years ago when I traveled to Sacramento for work. Back in town for work and decided to dine here again. I sat at the bar and was waited on in a timely manner. My order was taken and my drink was brought to me. That’s it. The waiter never came back to check on me or refilled my drink. I had to ask another server for refill. I was done with my meal and sat around some more waiting for my bill until I got tired of waiting and walked to reception stand and paid for my meal. Zero tip to the so called server. I left a tip for the sushi guys. Their server station can be seen where I was sitting at and he would hang around there the entire time. Didn’t go check in his tables or anything. Poor, poor, poor service. However, the sushi was phenomenal! I ordered their crawfish lover roll and baked green mussels. Delicious!!! It’s sad that the food is good but service is crappy.

If your sushi palette has gone to sleep with the fishes you will like this place. If you are a normal person who enjoys crazy things like good customer service and delicious food then you might want to keep on swimming. We were in the waiting area for 20 minutes in an empty restaurant before shown to our table. We had sub par customer service the entire night. My wife had sushi which I shared and I had teriyaki chicken. The food was over priced and really left us wishing we had gone anywhere else. Bottom line is if you like sushi go elsewhere !

This restaurant was my go-to when I couldn’t find anything better in the Arden-arcade area. The rolls are good, fresh, and priced well. My complaints are that they aren’t neatly done, and tend to fall apart. They are also really small; I have to order more than usual. The servers are always nice, but sometimes I’m waiting way too long and I have to flag them down if I need anything. I tried to ask one of the ladies for recommendations, and she explained that there was a section for vegetarian rolls, specialty rolls, and sashimi(which I knew.), I was just trying to see what was popular. Will I be back here? Maybe if other people want to go, but it’s not my first choice.

As much as I come here, I have come to terms that the sushi is just okay. I definitely come here for the cheap prices on their food and sake bombs! It’s the perfect atmosphere for college students balling on a budget or a large birthday party. The atmosphere is loud and lively, so it’s not awkwardly quiet when you eat. The service is super fast, so if you are in a rush you will be out quick! I have never had any issues here and I will be back again! I do not order anything crazy so I can’t give the best advice on all of their fancy rolls. But they do have a lot to choose from! Come here for casual parties, a quick bite to eat or easy take out. If you are looking for good quality sushi, I recommend to skip!

Very disappointed. Staff and management should do a monthly training session in how to properly interact with customers. For example, when people take a 15 minute drive out and walk up to your doors and even of it’s 45 mintues before closing you could have gave us a «kitchen is closed» instead of quickly locking the door in front of us then looking away while 2 feet away. The sushi here was good but I am so set back by the manner the hostess handled and treated my husband and I that I will make it a point to never come to this location and let friends know. Wish this establishment all the best. And once again, I also wish training when it comes to interacting with people. I can’t remember the last time I had such a rude and disappointing experience. Makes all the times that I overlooked the sushi taking so long to make an even greater annoyance.

Looking for half-off sushi rolls all day, everyday? Well, look no further! Arigato Sushi is located in a plaza across the street from Howe Bout Arden, with a sleek black sign announcing its presence. The interior seems new and modern, even with two iPads in the waiting area(though the online menu doesn’t work and people seem to mostly use them to take videos of themselves). During lunchtime on a weekday, it was already fairly crowded, but with open tables still available. The highlight of their menu appears to be the 50% off sushi rolls, although I’m not quite sure how you could ever be unfortunate enough to pay full price since they advertise them as 50% for lunch, dinner, AND to-go! The rest of the menu included standard bento boxes, donburi, udon, and appetizers. They also have a section of simple«beginner rolls» for those unsure of where to start, and«cooked rolls» for those who want to avoid raw fish. I ordered their Spicy Crunch roll, which consisted of spicy tuna, seaweed salad, eel, and cucumber topped with tempura flakes and unagi sauce. While it was a reasonable price(a little less than $ 7 total for a 6-piece moderate-sized roll), and the taste was not bad, the quality was not mindblowingly amazing. This was to be expected, though, since the rolls are always discounted. The rice was not packed well together and threatened to fall apart at any time, the tempura flakes barely stuck onto the roll, and although it was rated with one jalapeño pepper on the menu, the spicy was definitely lacking. It’s hard to draw conclusions from one roll, however, so I can’t completely count Arigato out of the game just yet. I did sample one of my friend’s cooked scallop rolls, and the flavor was quite good; I wouldn’t have thought to order that myself! Also, service was friendly and we didn’t have to wait long to be seated, which was a plus. I do like sushi, and I do like cheap prices, so the promise of cheap sushi may lure me back here again one day!
