History
Established in 2009.
Cori, the owner of Asha Yoga, moved to Sacramento with her husband and daughter after 7 years in Hawaii. When people ask «WHY Sacramento from Hawaii?» she commonly replies that she LOVES Sacramento and the community here. The thing she missed most was owning a yoga studio, as she did in Hawaii, and being fully integrated into a yoga community of like-minded individuals. So two years after being in Sac, she opened Asha Yoga– Midtown with the support of a very welcoming and grateful community.

Business Owner
Cori believes, and has experienced first-hand, that yoga teaches us to discover peace and happiness inside of ourselves. Her vision is to offer a space that inspires students to grow as individuals and then positively impact our families and communities through our own profound discovery.
Cori’s teaching expresses the depth of her journey from over 15 years of dedicated yoga practice and 10 years of full-time teaching. Her exploration of yoga began in 1994 and she has continued to study a range of yogic traditions and styles. She has completed multiple teacher trainings, workshops and continuing education courses in yoga and has dedicated many years to her own personal exploration. She is a wife, a mother and has now owned 2 yoga studios, all of which provide her with daily inspiration to practice and teach with a deeply personal purpose.
